Sandbox RP: Testing the limits. Warning: Breaks everything!

Post by JunoZXV »

(To chop up the boredom of summer I decided to have the pirate go out and explore what's beyond the forest and mountains. Things will break, rules, restrictions... and possibly brain matter. If anything I hope to find as an RPer how to preform better and see what can happen without rules. Feel free to Join!

OH and spoiler alert! This is basically just a dream sequence that Juno's having. So anything that happens in this RP. Is just Juno's imagination and doesn't affect ANYTHING in the current forest world.)

Trees, birds, sand, wasteland... all behind...

Juno had ventured far, to the absolute edge of the map. Behind him lay sand and trees and mountains. Unicorns, trolls, dragons, a gigantic spaceship and other things that reside there lay behind.

This was the edge... and it was here that Juno began to remember.

He looked out from where he stood, amongst the border of what lay at the very fabric of imagination, it was here that most new beings came from, hurled out of portals to the wastes and would find comfort or a place to reside.

But this wasn't about him welcoming them or anything else.

This was about Juno being bored.

So here, at the place where the sand faded at the edges of the map, and what lay beyond the edges of parchment, is where the story begins.

The Wayward Journey Of Pirate Captain Juno.

((Okay, this sounds awesome, though I'm curious what specifically you mean by breaks everything. The only thing that comes to mind is overpowering or powerplaying, but in either case that sounds like it would be fun. Hope you don't mind if I come in with Juno's happyful new friend.))

A shrill wind blew by carrying with it the distant cries of laughter. At first the sounds were haunting, like a memory of past times long since gone, but soon they became more vivid, but even that laughter seemed hollow in some way, as if it had become so normal it was no longer a sound of joy.

The winds died down again, taking the sounds of merriment with them. Something had changed in the breeze though, a dark figure that now stood waist high next to Juno.

"Happy friend Juno, has he not seen the outside world?" inquired the midget dragon that had appeared. His voice was unusually calm, and his face didn't carry the usual unbreakable glee it usually did. With a look at him one might imagine he had been... brooding... An unusual thing to imagine from him for anyone that had ever encountered Bremen.

"We go there, you see outside world and all its mysteries. I even show you sandcastle I built. We go together then we be safe from evil bad people that make he nice peoples go dead."

The dragon's formed shimmered for a second, and within seconds he stood as tall as Juno on two humanoid legs, clothed in blue leggings and a black shirt. All that remained of his draconic form was the bright green shade of his eyes and his two sole possessions strapped firmly to his back.

"Like this me be called Tom Bremen, but still calls me Bremen, okay?"

OoC
Eh, what the hell …

--

”What the shit?”

They were not too far away. Well, if ‘not too far away’ meant a good half-mile in the distance. Yet Scarlet’s voice carried over the winds and appeared in the ears of the two beings at the Edge as if they had been standing right next to them. That was oddity number one. Oddity number two was just where Scar and Naira were standing. Yes, a half-mile away … and peering down at not sand and dirt, but nothingness.

Seriously. A void. A giant goddamn pit had open up in the Wastelands, severing one section from the rest of the desert. The wall of the crevice was pitted and marred and impaled with rusted pipes and bits of wire. There was no visible bottom – only blackness. Strangely enough the rest of the Wastes were just fine and dandy. To the east and west of the duo, there was no fault. But at this one spot …

”The hell, Silent Hill has arrived at Deep!” guffawed Nay, sounding truly amused and strangely aloof. This version of the half-dragon represented her old-self. She even wore the attire donned upon her first entrance into the Woods. And shit, there were two working eyes, not one! Naira was standing, with Scarlet crouching at her feet and staring into the darkness. Amused, the fae added, ”So I’m gonna throw you down there now.”

Instead of screaming retribution and curses, Juggernaut clapped her claws. ”Do eeeet!”

”Pffft, no fear at all. Thrill killer … “

((OOC sorry for the delay but I wanted a bit of a larger group. Sorry for making you wait... or go idle Norv...))

"Oh I have but this is completely different from that..." Juno replied as he walked around in the whiteness reaching behind some sort of wall and whipping out what looked like a small round music box. It was cylendar shaped in nature but it was what he decided to do with it that mattered.

He reached into his pockets and whipped out a small gold key, gave it a twist... then waited as the small thing flew from his hands, the round ornate top perpendicular with the ground as it just hovered in space... then...

The sound of whooshing wind down a pipe as the clear blue stone on it turned to an image of black showing several stars, interlinked by strands of what could only be called straignt lighting... it then flickered through images of stars as if trying to pin point a specific one, The image leaping off from lightning bolts to a rythmic beat that the box played as it found it's locatoin...

There was the wosing sound as it got a lock... but then it focused on one star and slowly began to zoom in as the music picked up... show images of a large planet...

The music then lept up in beat as spell rings began to shoot out of the floating music box... creating intricate scriptures and to the keys of piano...

Afterwards it picked up again and actually began to work in opening a portal... pulsating as the spell circle began to fade and show the gigantic star fissure...

"Are you coming?" Asked Juno as he took a step forward... grabbing the musical device as he then... hopped dimensions.

(The song that played)

It wasn't much of anything really. A deep fracking pit. Whooooooo, so special! not. Scarlet continued to bemoan the damned thing as if it were a golden relic. Fighting the nonchalant urge to kick the demonic femme into the pit and see how long it took for her body to thud against the bottom, Nemo swung 'round and tilted her head. A portal, whatnow? Where were they going? "Coming where?"

Juggernaut was faster on her feet for the moment, standing up instantly and hooking an arm around Naira's. A childish grin later, and they were rushing forward with the half-dragon being tugged reluctantly behind.

"Pinkthing!" cried she, voice gravelly as always. The tongue peeked from the corner of her lips. It lolled, flapping useless in the rush of wind. "Jester boi, waits for meeeee!" Not once did the V-ACT 32 look back to her poor companion, or she would have noticed that Naira was losing the skin on the bottom of her feet at novel speeds because of the rate she was being dragged at.

I mean, her heels were actually catching on fire!

"It burns!" hissed Naira, trying in vein to flop her talons so that the pyre would eliminate. Too little too late. Scar jumped the portal with an overwhelmed dragonoid, fire and all.
