Returning to Deep Forest

Per'ron trembled with rage. He had been so very close to rescuing Gaeva. It was he that had sent her away from the forest in the first place, and it was his fault that she had escaped from him. It was strange. Over the journey, the two parts of him, the Neramorian and the Scovokian, had come together to form a single entity--forged by the necessity of survival an the need to press on. 
 
He ran after Meali, trembling with barely controlled power. The Neramorian blood in him gave him strength and agility, as well as the responses to duck low-lying branches and dart around creatures in his path. His Scovokian blood gave him his surprising energy, considering all that he had gone through, and the blood lust he had fought to control before. But now, it wasn't against everyone in general. He had a target now, and knew what to fight against. Everything in his being was prepared to fight to the death to prevent the being the fluff ball had warned them about to rule over this forest. 
 
It was his home. And no one would rule over it. They would share the responsibility of the forest. And many, he knew, would die defending it. Including, he was sure, himself. But that didn't matter. Hewas ready for war. In fact, he couldn't wait for it.

This thread is for the ones who return after their 3 month quest, read the last post in Lost Visions (at least the last post) to know what is going on. Make at least one post in here before heading of to do whatever in another thread, thanks ^_^

The group of beings stood together in a pleasant spot in the forest, the sun was shining cheerily and the leaves were green. But in the distance where the mountains stood something was wrong, as they knew that was where the gathered army had gone. 
 
Meali blinked stupidly for a few moments, looking about at the home she hadn't been in for so long. Suddenly she gave a loud squeel and galloped off, heading straight towards the Meadow of Peace, without another word to the people who had been her companions for so long. Her only thought was of home and to warn her father.

Emerald eyes blinked for a moment at their sudden return to their home as the winged feline dug her claws in slightly into Meali's mane when the filly took off, Wintersky racing alongside and started to pull ahead of her friend. "Meali, want me to go on ahead and get Geaven to head your way? I'm faster."

Skyshadow did not pause to look around him, he already knew that he was in the Deep Forest, he did not need to cement that reality. He saw as Per'ron and two of the children ran before him. Without a thought, Skyshadow shifted into into a hawk and flew after them, determined to see them through this to the end. 
Tivan nearly stumbled in his eagerness to return to the forest. Getting out of the way of the others still coming through the portal, Tivan looked around, savoring the smell and sights of the forest that was his home. He stood like a statue, taking it all in; unwilling to return to his reality that Gaeva was possessed, at least not yet. 
Ryka exited the portal smoothly, her slim silver-blue body practically leaping out of it. Instead of following those who were going to find Geavan, Ryka turned and went to the Boundary Mountains, intent on finding Gaeva for herself, and hopefully doing something about it.

Tsuki's legs quaked as she stumbled through the glowing vortex. Just by looking into the sky she could tell, that the darkness was coming. The darkness was coming to attack the forest and consume the heart of the one she ever did care for. She realized why that person cried now... Because she would be consumed by the darkness of her heart. Slowly, she padded up to her friend, in hopes that his presence might somehow comfort her. ~Tivan?~

Tivan nuzzled Tsuki gently, happy to be home again, but now worried because his home was being threatened by an evil that not even Gaeva could stand against. "We will fight," Tivan vowed to Tsuki softly. "They will not win."

Devil looked around once he exited the vortex, looking around him. Then, with a howl, he raced off for he found no need to stay around here.

The mare on the other hand kept her head down as she walked through the portal back to the land she had grown to call her home. Gaeva was a dear friend to her, and her heart sank at the feeling of what happened to her. She reconized the look of her eyes, more so than she sometimes wished, and knew the trouble that came with it. She had to wonder what made her change, though she doubted there was anything she could do about it. 
 
The unicorn shifted into her beltora form and lifted up into the air, watching the group below for a moment.

Meali rolled her eyes at her friend, then laughed, "He already knows! Don't you feel him? We're really home!" Though she was smiling she didn't feel as happy as she thught she should. While overjoyed to see her father again after all those months of being seperated she knew perfectly well that she brought him bad news at the same time. News that had her own mind still whirling. 
 
Running she felt the minds of some that came along with them. She was so used to feeling their minds near her, it barely registered anymore. They were there, like they always had been it seemed.

Tsuki looked at Tivan with sad eyes. The upcoming battle was one thing that worried her but something else worried her even more. She didn't want her to go away. She didn't want the one she ever loved to go away. Unfortunately, Tsuki knew that fate had something else in store of her.

Tivan frowned curiously and looked up. The sun shown brightly, almost ironically cheerful compared to the sour mood of the company for what had become of Gaeva. "What do you mean?" he asked Tsuki softly, wondering if perhaps she was speaking symbolically.

A small trickle of smoke exited the white and blue filly's nostrals as Wintersky lunged forward into her top galloping speed, leaving the rest behind her as she streaked towards the Meadow where she too sensed the nearing pressence of the stallion there.

A warm smile broke up one the beltora's face as she saw how happy the foals were. Espeically Meali. With her aunt a good friend of her's, she found herself trying to protect her at all costs, and it seems that now, more than ever, the filly needs it. She was happy to see that she did not leave alone. 
 
Seeing that everything was alright, she turned and left towards the moutains for a much needed rest. ((Yeah right!))

Doing her best to keep up with her friend Meali watched the white filly streak off ahead of her. She knew she wouldn't catch up with her, btu that didn't mean she was about to slow down either! Sensing her father ahead her smile increased.

Tsuki looked at Tivan with an empty look. Her eyes had stopped crying but the tear stains were evident on her fur. ~She's gone... that's why she wanted me to save her, but its too late. Everyone's falling into darkness. Why?~ Slowly, she gazed up into the sky once again, quietly asking why this had to happen. ~Saya is... Saya...~

As she looked into the sky, Tsuki felt it again. Except this time, there was no turning back. She had died... Tears were falling from her eyes and there was little that she could to stop them. ~Why?... Why does the rain have to fall so hard?~ She had lost it. Tsuki knew that she was gone.

~Ever since that trip, I've begun to understand her more and when I saw Gaeva... I realized... That a similar thing was happening to her. Ever since I met her she's always been wary of using her abilities, except of the healing spells of course. I think I understand now. The fire spells that she uses tie directly to the powers of darkness somehow and if she uses them too much then the darkness consumes her until...~ Tsuki's ears fell flat onto her skull. She was very uncomfortable to "say" what was coming. ~Saya's dead... She doesn't exist. Only the "Angel of Death" exists now...~

Tivan nuzzled Tsuki gently. "Are you sure?" he asked softly, remembering that Saya was the one he had known to be Flare. Somehow he could not imagine it. He'd not known her very well or for very long, but somehow such a fate did not seem possible.
