Once Across a Scavenger Darkly [Open]

Post by Windra »

Alpha was something of a wanderer. He was a punk eager to explore. Young and dumb but with pinaz. 'Course', he was prone to eventually getting himself killed with his brash mannerisms, his blatant disregard for obvious dangers ... but a child sometimes had to learn things the hard way, even if it meant brushing up with old Death a time or two. This was one determined Betlequillian, though. The actuality of him getting harmed? not likely, considering his numerous close-calls in the past ... dodging the bullet at the very last second ...

Didn't seem strange, then, that this peculiarly-hued little boy decided that a stroll through Boundary Mountains in the middle of the night was a good idea. He blended in with the night sky perfectly. The bad thing? He wasn't in the sky, but on the ground. Which was prone to provoking some curious beasties into poking and prodding what was fleshy and vulnerable. Eyes wide as dishes and as bright as the stars that glittered on his skin, he made his way through a thick outcropping of granite, passing by numerous caves, occasionally glancing over his shoulder. It was dark. Dark enough to hide things from his less-than-perfect vision.

But he was a brave little fool and would not be scared so easily. Clad in only a tunic, rugged pants, and a rope around his waist, Alpha shouldered an empty hemp-made sack and glimpsed this way and that. He was looking for goodies to take home as trinkets. One of these caves was gonna get explored sooner or later. Which one?

"Not a bad night for scavenger hunting," chimed Alpha loudly, grinning to himself. "Nice and dark. Gonna be hard to see stuff, but that makes it more of a challenge."
"We all change, when you think about it, we're all different people; all through our lives, and that's okay, that's good, you've gotta keep moving, so long as you remember all the people that you used to be."
