A Lonely Cry into the Darkness

Post by VPhoenix »

Nightstalker traveled with out rest or slowing his pace ntil he reached the Boundary Mountains. The cold winds of the fading winter blew at him, but it bothered him not to him it would have elt as if a warm summer breeze would hve to anyone else, such dark and cold places where he felt most at ease at. There Nightstalker tood on the battle ground of the strongest beings he ever heard of between Crimson Fury and V Phoenix. "I promiseI shall avenge you...Father" which he spokemore in a whisper than anything, and his dark minions stood around him with their bright geen glowing eues, and wicked grins plastered to heir mouthes. Nightstalker then pulled down his guitar andbegan to play a song n top of the mountain peek.

"
I cannot leave here, I cannot stay,
Forever haunted, more than afraid.
Asphyxiate on words I would say,
I'm drawn to a blackened sky as I turn blue.

There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

I cannot stay here, I cannot leave,
Just like all I loved, I make believe.
Imagine heart, I disappear, seems,
No one will appear, here and make me real.

There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

I'd tell you how it haunts me,
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams.)
I'd tell you how it haunts me,
(cuts through my day, and sinks into my dreams.)
You don't care that it haunts me.

Oh,
There are no flowers, no not this time,
There'll be no angels gracing the lines,
Just these stark words, I find.
I'd show a smile, but i'm too weak,
I'd share with you could I only speak,
Just how much this, hurts me.

Just how much this, hurts me.

Just how much you..."

It had been a while since travel had brought the gargoyle to the mountains. It was probably nostalgia that did it this time. During the light of the day she had traveled by paw up to the mountains. She’d spend the time with the quiet air. Yes, the creatures from the forest could be heard and the creatures that prowled the mountains for those who dared to come here. It’d been a pleasant quiet that seldom was at her forest home. Just as at her home she had stayed doing nothing.

The time had come and imbedding herself into the stone walls to make herself as invisible as possible the time had come for her to join the hard ground. This is how she stayed till the freedom of time rang free. From the stone broke free the humanoid form that roamed the night. There was no breath, no smell from this creature. The stone she can come from was dust. What remained on the ground remained becoming dust when its time would come. Orange eyes went to the sky looking into the darkness to find little specks of light that were also showing themselves.

To the peace that hand been during the day came disturbance during the night. The wingless creature turned slightly on her large feet. She listened to words, listened to a foreign instrument that grinded in her ears. The words though brought laughter to her mind, not her laughter but that of the black beast about her neck. <Pitiful,> mused the Collar as his slave silent more so then the beasts of the night moved on toward the sound, <Let us assume…> His words ended in laughter, there was nothing to assume.

Travel was not far and sight was granted with the vision of a lion holding a strange instrument. It was not a lyre, but something along the lines. The edges of the gargoyle’s lips turned up that small smile that meant everything from amusement, pleasure, and insult…
”My dear should be more careful where he wishes to spill his words,” came such velvet words to all those who listened. Thought the voice was sweet the emotion that should have been there was not. It was flat and still eerily beautiful, ”Not all are grateful of such. It is foolish to sing in a place of darkness. What one proves is only one’s lack.”

The light of day was not cause for concern, oh but as the sun set and the light of the world blinked out of existence, yes. Oh yesss…

Red scars flared against skin as dark and deep as the pitch black of nights within a frozen winter where no stars shone in the moonlight. Such light gently graced down smooth features from a pair of glowing orbs set above near-sculpted lips. Even here, scars ran over those pearlescent and moon-like irises flashing in the dusk and then in the slowly coming night. Ah, though the forest was so very much alive, here on the Mountains there was true peace and quiet, the doings of which creatures that many saw fit to hide from now came to be seen under a sky both unforgiving and unfathomable. Reaches and cosmoses, planets and dimensions both alien, but so very close to home. Otherworldly watches that gazed down with eyes that were cast downwards. Even these creatures of the night and the dark feared the Shade that stood upon the Mountains. Of the corpus lives the residence of Deep Forest held, all were fascinating, all were interesting, all held clues to the one question of which he so desired to answer, but naught an answer to be found within the cold and desolate faces of rock that bode ill-will to any who dare climb upon their foreboding faces.

That is, save for this night. Accursed sounds grated the air, a voice pitching and tuning with an instrument that was both alien and unwelcome to ears accustomed to far keener senses of music. A pipe was taken from a sachel at the side of the shade, no tunic did he wear this night, his chest bare to the elements. A soft crackle of fire being lit, the light puff and draw of the pipe as the Shade vanished from sight in a swath of shadow and murk.

Moments passed as he appeared lounging on a stone just within the shadows. His eyes closed and scars no longer glowing, there was nothing to give away his form. He listened patiently for the end of the song, but moments later a new form came to his senses. The Shade’s eyes were opened a mere crack, narrowed enough to cut off the glow from his eyes, but opened enough to see. The white star-mark on his chest only iridescent and not bright enough to be visible. Interesting, did he not know this one from somewhere? Few moments passed, but then the thoughts of the light blue foal drifted through his mind. Ah, this one. Dejah, he knew her though not well enough to discern her interest in such vocal concerns of the Mountains peace and false sense of tranquility. It was her words that finally brought he smile, and then a rolling chuckle of amusement from his lips. His smile held much the same as Dejah’s, a mix of amusement, interest, and repugnant distaste. His eyes opened softly, a white flash as they glowed and smoldered out. Soft whisps gently trailed up from his eyes, smoking. A long draw on his pipe brought the red ashes to a bright flare, reflecting off of his ebony face. A sword rested on his hip, red and as dangerous as the Shade himself, however the reasons of which were a secret to him and only one other. No one knew what truth and lies the Shade held within his being.

“I must agree.” His voice was smooth and deep, not quite a base rumble, but pleasant even to listen to. “Such lamentations of the ones which have passed beyond such foolish passion are hardly befit such… dangerous circumstances.” He took another long draw on his pipe, enjoying the flavor of the smoke-weed he had chosen.

“Tributes to those of the Abyss are nothing but mere comforts to the living who of which they have left behind. They care not for pledges of revenge and persecution. Trivial matters to them now that they no longer exist.”

The quiet and solitude in which Nightstalker had sought out by coming here to this mountain peak, had no vanished just as the sun with its light did a moment ago when he arrived here behind the mountain tops. For it had seemed his music, which was not to or for anyone, but if anything for his own amusement, his lone cry into the darkness had seemed to stir of its residents and brought forth their attention on to Nightstalker At the words of the first creature to arrive at the scene he quicly drew his greatsword pointing it at the strange femmine being, for indeed by the figure of its body he could tell it was female in gender but not much else as his soul piercing green eyes scanned it over, it looked like nothing he had seen before well not exactly like it, for when he fought in his nation's legion he had fought creatures similar in appearance. As the creature continued to speak it seemed it wished Nightstalker no ill so she sheathed his blade. His eyes soon glanced over as a second being now appeared this one who could not recall ever gazing upon a being such as it, black and remotely figureless only from its voice could he guess it bared some sort of masculine quality to it.

Nightstalker listened to both of them considerately for perhaps they were residents of this land so it would be best to show them some form of manners for the time being. "Forgive me if any of my actions this night has caused any bother to either of you" as he spoke he eyed a gray, boulder near to his left and sat down up on top of it as he looked back and forth between the two as he spoke. "It is just this place reminded me of my once, now long vanished home, I was unaware there might be others that could hear my tune, especially if they found it unpleasant to their ears, for I wished not to cause unrest to anyone of this land."Nightstalker paused for a moment and stood up walking to a fairly, large crater that been made when V Phoenix used the final attack on Crimson Fury sending him back to the Darkness in which he came from.

"This place is also where someone very close to me breathed their last breath" and as Nightstalker stood in the center of the crater his dark minions appeared behind them, with their wide, jagged grins, and long, slanted, glowing green eyes. They came with out Nightstalker calling upon them but instead emerged sensing the darkness that still lingered in this place, regardless of how faint it might be now. Nightstalker's eyes then locked on to the second being that arrived "That song was not to the one who had fallen here, but I played for mere enjoyment nothing more. Well then since I have already brought an insult to your ears, I do not wish to do so to your eyes, thus I shall take my leave of this place unless there is something you wish to speak word to me about."

((Nice post VP.))

Dejah orange eyes lifted as another voice spoke mirroring her own. Orange eyes saw pass the darkness looking over the figure. She did not recognize this man, but both she and the beast around her neck would not forget that voice. The Collar chuckled and his slave did nothing. <Oh, the little wolf is going to be interested to know of him,> he told, <You have seen what I saw that night Child, this creature was removed from this realm. However as expected we see him.> The half-breed’s mind mentally nodded.

As the creature who spoke on the same voice as Rishcath puffed his pipe orange eyes were on the anthro. Little attention was given to the smaller ranks around. They were of no bother. She watched the beast look her over from his place. She was plain in appearance compared to when she first arrived at the forest. There were no wings placed upon her back. In fact looking at her back would show a scar and a healing wound. If not for her deformities of horns, tail and talons she would be an elven beauty. Her form was unarmed aside from those natural defenses. Other then her eyes, no movement came from her.

The lion spoke up almost apologetically. He spoke of a vanished home. His words though were not of interest. His actions on the other were. First he sat then he stood and walked a bit. This beast was a nervous one. The Collar hissed to her and only a single eye slid. More of the little shadow creatures were appearing. There grins and bright eyes popping up out of no where. Still her stance didn’t change. It would take more then numbers to change her mind and she suspected the other man of shadow.

Once more he spoke; spoke of the death of one he cared. <Nah, really,> sneered the Collar behind their mental protection, <I would have never guessed.> Dejah let the anthro speak, his words and actions selling him out.
”Such words,” spoke that velvet tone, ”Contradiction. Words, tones, actions all speak differently. Decide your story my dear before you speak, act. Insincerity and failure of one tale in not only an insult to those you have disturbed but to those that follow you. Forest pray that your followers are too loyal to catch your fallacies.”

Re: A Lonely Cry into the Darkness

((Inspiration is such a fickle creature))

It was interesting to watch the movements of this male lion creature. Down, and up, pacing, words spoken, meanings meant otherwise, and several of the creatures that had been with him when he and the Gargoyle came across him were now beginning to appear around them.

How… foolish.

The Shade inhaled deeply on his pipe, leaning back against the cold and craggy rock face. Watching on as Dejah spoke with the lion creature. He made no comment for a time, contemplating and assessing the situation. Surely this fool of a cub did not intend to fight them? Were his words merely meant to serve as a poorly constructed diversion? If so then he was by far underestimating the two that stood before them, or rather the four that stood before him. The Shade knew that Dejah carried with her a demon, he had seen the creature move of its own free will and it did not take much pondering over such a thing to understand some of what such a creature might be, but so too did the Shade carry a creature within his sword, undetectable by any save those who already knew it was there. Perhaps there was a tiny sense of something ‘wrong’ about the Shade, the idea that there was something demonic about his persona, but none would ever consider that his blade was that which held the demon.

With another puff on his pipe, the Shade finally spoke over several long minutes contemplating his thoughts. “Surely you understand the very nature of which the song you sung is one of lamentation? Words chosen carefully to depict a pain, and a loss. Surely such a song would not purely be used as entertainment when far more merry tunes are to be held.” His words were chosen carefully, allowing nothing of his own contempt for the creature to show in them or in his movements. He remained lax against the stone. His eyes never left the lion creature, his eyes burning into him and never blinking. Glowing faintly in the darkening night. For a moment the scars on his body flashed out in a crimson light, but then no more were they beheld. The brief glimpse of light showed a masculine figure that was both strong, and outwardly powerful. Like a runner, but slightly more muscled.

His one arm remained crossed against his chest and his other held his pipe, inhaling the sweet tasting smoke and exhaling in a puff of the acidic substance. His lungs, he needed not worry about he knew where he could get them… repaired, if need be. His eyes closed then, enjoying the cool air of the night, leaning his head back, but remaining aware of his surroundings.

“Recall your minions, they have no use in a civil conversation. I hope you have no intent to fight us. The gargoyle I may not say how skilled she is, but none of which you may deal my way will land on my person. A General of the Three World Army does not fall easily to such pitiful creatures the likes of which you have summoned. Send your toys away so we may continue this conversation in peace least you wish it to end in blood.”

((Thanks, have not roleplayed like this in ages))
Nightstalker frowned as he listened the two speak, ignorant at this point still of the unsummoned arrival of his minions. For he meant no disrespect to either of them, and even when he showed them all they could do is mock him and call him a lier. For in all truth he did play that song mainly for his on amusement and nothing more. True, it was a very sorrowful, and solemn tune he played, but it is what came to his mind, whether it be because that was the music he played the most or listened the most, or even if it was the feeling he received when he came to this place, given the fact that here the being that did could live was right where he stood. None of those factors mattered to Nightstalker, for like most he did not question the source of his inspiration over such as simple manner as this. Still though he could not blame the pair for their ignorance, for it would have taken someone that knew Nightstalker well, which there was few especially still breathing to have thought his choice of song to be different then what these two assumed it to be.

It was not until the shade of a man that smoked a pipe, mentioned words of fighting and his minions. Nighstalker glanced around at his minions which he was guessing emerged from the intense amount of darkness that lingered in this place. Nightstalker hen looked down shaking his head. "My minions you have nothing to be concerned with, they most likely came for means to protect me nothing more, and you still assume falsely but ones such as yourselves know nothing of my tastes in music, not many lands have seen let alone heard an instrument such as the one I play. Indeed the song I played was one of gray tune to it, perhaps the feelings that I had in me when standing in the place where the one who died so I could be born is. Also I am by no means foolish enough to fight strangers I just met, now that both of you have spoke your piece I shall take my leave of this place". Nightstalker turned but his minions stayed were they where unflinching as they stared at the two with hungry eyes. Nightstalker turned back around, shaking his head. "No my minions even if I was able to defeat them I think they would make for a very foul meal, come all of you will satisfy your hunger on something of a better choosing". With that said his minions turned around and faded into the shadows as Nigtstalker began to walk down the mountain, but still close enough if the two still wished to speak to him.

((I’m ignoring the Announcement saying this thread happened before it. VP you know it isn’t fun if you keep ignoring what is going on and trying to leave your own thread.))

<You’re being ignored,> stated the Collar to his slave, <Quite a change, one for advantage if we wish.> Dejah didn’t give any thought keeping an eye on the man of shadow. This didn’t mean she had forgotten the lion. Just because he could dismiss her so easily did not mean she did the same. The shadow mirrored her words more speaking more closely on the song. Unlike her though he took spoke word against the minion. Annoyed?

The lion spoke more, his mistake. His minions were there to protect him. Did that not mean he sought a fight? Why else would they protect him if he wasn’t going to jump in over his head? His following sentence once more cancelled the former. The Collar was chuckling in her mind, <He’s either oblivious to anything he says and does or just stupid. What a bad actor this one is and many an actor have we fell eyes on.> Movement had come from the gargoyle pivoting on her feet to keep both creatures within her vision. Her face held nothing of the Collar’s words or even her own thoughts on the situation. There was nothing but the eerie lifelessness.

The beast kept saying his words. He truthfully had ignored both of them. The gargoyle took a step, then another. Without haste she walked up to the shadow. Her face from the shadows showed a small smile, ”It seems his memories out weigh an attention span. Words are wasted on him when he does not take heed,” she said to him knowing full well he would have a conclusion very similar if he was not laughing inside, ”All that he wishes is to spew his memories.”
She paused giving a look back at the pitiful creature catching words from him to his minions before looking back at Rishcath, ”He believes us fools. Perhaps he will find the pity he seeks, but would not a more fitting ending be him finding ones without our patience?” There was no smile as there should have been with the joke.

”I suppose his minions as they are just as daft as he to catch the…how is it said in common terms…” she paused in thought, ”…Oh yes, hog wash from him mouth will satisfy him.” She gave Rishcath another little smile before casually walking off deeper into the shadows of the night.

(( Ooc: I have to agree with Flare especially since neither of our characters would follow after your own without being out of character for them. Furthermore VP while I appreciate the length at which you have chosen to post with us there are 2 things I would like to address and I would like to never see again in your writing. 1) The scrambling of your sentences is an easy enough fix and it's rude that you would leave them as such when a quick spell check would alert you to this serious errors. The sentences that are scrambled are extremely hard to read. And 2) if you ever, ever claim knowledge of another character's information such as you did with Rishcath's sword you will be warned. As such either you remove that content from your previous post or I will remove it for you. This is god moding and will not be accepted. As it is I apologize for the lateness of my post, thus is another reason why my character too will be leaving.))

Pointless words, actions, counter phrases, and all a mockery of that which the creature tried to say, contradicting itself and its own beliefs. Foolish, pointless, and in all the Gargoyle too seemed to understand the nature of things in the world far better then the pathetic cub of a lion before them. If it were not for the fact that the Shade was ill amused he would have laughed out loud, a long and raucous laugh that would send chills up anyone’s spine, as it was he did not laugh. He did not even blink or move until the gargoyle stepped up to him and spoke.

A long, slow smile spread across the Shade’s lips as he inhaled deeply on his pipe, looking up to the Gargoyle and chuckling richly. “It is either that or they are mindless more-so then he, and they think him a great philosopher of things he knows not of what he aspires to preach on. Perhaps some day we will come across him again, but dead and a gore crow’s feast.” As the gargoyle took her leave, the Shade looked over towards where the lion had wandered off to, and chuckled.

“Beware, beware the shadows and the darkness little cub. They come for you.” With that said, his form faded out of existence, leaving the little lion cub, for cub truly he was in comparison to the Shade, and the Mountains again were his only company.

((Rishcath has left this thread, and please remove the information about his sword from your post. I’ll give you about 3 days to do so or I’ll remove it myself.))

((prior post has been edited both the scrambles and the sword mentioning. I greatly enjoyed rping with you both even though it was brief and thanks for the words of advice and sorry if I caused any of you grievance))

Were his words and actions truly contradictions of each other? Perhaps so, perhaps not for if not then it could be possible it was because the pair did not understand Nightstalker's culture and thus his means of thought process might seem foreign to them. Nightstalker did not find his words or actions dismissing of each other, but then again it had been a long time since he was ever allowed a moment to consider such things. Ever since his imprisonment and forced to fight in the front lines quick actions lead to a higher rate of survival then deep thought did. Nightstalker's existence was a sort of contradiction though for two children of the Darkness first had to die so he could be born and later adopted by the Darkness as one of its servants. Nightstalker had earlier in his life contradicted himself when he thought he could use the powers of the dark arts to combat against evil. This brought to a further extent as once agreed to be embraced by the Darkness he sought a way to create a world for the one he loved and himself, a world where both of them no longer would be plagued with the cruelties that had infected their lives that had torn each other from the grasp of the other.

Nightstalker's thoughts were brought back to the present as both the gargoyle and the shade took their leave and did not speak or act until both were there no more. "Your words are but all too late wise shade, for they have already and even if I chose to I think I could not escape the hold in which it has upon me. His minions though not manifested took note of his words for even though they were the most basic beings of the Darkness they are more in touch with the Darkness and aware of its true intentions more so than Nightstalker ever would be and thus acted as the perfect tools for the Darkness to keep a firm grip on Nightstalker and know everything of his intentions if he sought to disobey the Darkness. Nightstalker paused, seeing as the other two left he saw no reason to now since him leaving was meant for their behalf. Nightstalker then turned around and walked back up to the peak and summoned his minions. "Now that those that viewed us with ill manner have ventured else where I think we shall stay here my minions and take up residence on this spot, for I can not think of any place that would be more appropriate to make a home at." Nightstalker then began to think of ways to build a nice, simple home here, where from this point he could carry on with his quest.

Yue had been led to a very sad place of which he did not like very much at all. He could feel the darkness in the air. It stung somehow, he felt nothing but a strong desire to leave as soon as possible. He has been attacked by bizarre monsters three times since he had climbed the mountain (although for him climbing is like walking) and had to use his Talarina once to aid him escape, once to hide him in plain sight, and a third time to find his center. Yue forbid Tae, his hawklike companion from coming to this dark place, and currently Tae resided somewhere in the meadow where he had met a unicorn somewhere around two years ago. Yue did not want Tae to come along, for some reason he felt his heart pull him to this place and that was for Yue alone to discover. In the mean time Tae had been enjoying his solitude a little bit more than Tae expected, flying in the air almost constantly enjoying the wind.

But while miles away Tae was as safe as a rock monster in a land of origami, Yue was here, in this strange place, led by his heart for some unknown reason. Sometimes Yue imagined someone was tricking him to come here, for some reason, although he could think of no one who he met that could or would do such a thing he assumed his heart must have been leading him. Soon however the answer became obvious, although, in a different way than he would have imagined if a similar event would have happened back when he was still entering the forest.

Yue saw an old acquaintance of his not far from where he stood now, and without thinking smiled ran forward waving his hand and calling, "Nightstalker!" Yue approached forgetting where he was, forgetting that he might be attacked, perhaps even by Nightstalker himself, he was just happy to see a familiar face, despite such a strange meeting as they had prior to this one. Yue stopped several meters away, not wanting to startle Nightstalker by getting to close.

During their last encounter Yue sort of lectured Nightstalker about how darkness consumes, and will consume Nightstalker if he is not careful. Nightstalker surprised Yue by not attacking him after that, and since then Yue had thought about Nightstalker many times. This time he had no such intentions to convince Nightstalker of anything, in fact he had no intentions of doing anything, he wasn't expecting to see him here after all.

"Remember me? Yue!" Yue pointed to his own face with a wide smile, after wards he lowered his hand and relaxed his posture, "What are you doing in a place like this? This place is scary."

Nightstalker after deciding to stay here on te mountain peak was pondering how he could make a decent sheter in this place. There ws very few trees in this area that could be used to build any structure that would be worth living in by his standards, and the natrual formed caves were a fair distance away and too down low, not to mention Nightstalker did not care much for subsurface dwelling. This area were he stood was optimal for Nighstalker to live at. The peak was perhaps one of the tallest providing high elevation, which offered cool weather through out the year keeping the snow in place longer then most places, not to mention this place marked something in particular special to Nightstalker. Still tough the place itself offered scarce resources to build home with and right around he time Yue announced his arrival Nightstalker found the pefect solution, but his thoughts had become altered at the unexpected arrival of Yue. Yue could not have stumbled upon Nightstalker at a more better for his ions had resumed to linger about in the shadows, and Nightstalker had just taken off his guitar and his sheathed sword so he would not be burdened with the task he was about to do.

Nightstalker had just had his arms outstretched and was going to create a massive magnetic field but stopped right before he did as he turned to face Yue, dropping his arms to his side. "Why hello Yue, quite surprising to see someone who thinks he knows so much of darkness to come to a place that is full of a dark arua you can practically smell it, especially since you gve me the impression you were not too fond of it either. With that said the answer to your question of me being here should be quite clear as one such as myself would be natrual drawn to such a scary place as you refered to it." Nightstalker then walked over to where his sheathed greatword laid and pulled the sword out from the sheath, but not to attack Yue but instead he walked about ten feet in ront of Yue and stuck his sword in the middle of the ground. Nightstalker then walked towards Yue put in an odd way putting one foot in front of the other finally until he was next to Yue. "Alright that should about do it better than earlier actually, and you might want to take a few steps back just to be safe."

Re: A Lonely Cry into the Darkness

"Why hello Yue, quite surprising to see someone who thinks he knows so much of darkness to come to a place that is full of a dark arua you can practically smell it, especially since you gve me the impression you were not too fond of it either."

Yue nodded with a surprising smile, "Many, many things have happened. Enough for me to know darkness is a part of nature too, and i was trying to change all darkness into light and that is impossible. Just as impossible as to turn all light to darkness. Everything happens for a reason, its all a balance and they both have their place. That being said i thought since darkness is here to stay it would do well for me to get to know it." Yue crossed his arms and raised his chin, his tail wagging back and forth, "Like shoulder angels, you don't try to convert one to the other. You need to be friends with both!" Yue was quite pleased with his understanding now, and while comparing light and dark to something you can be friends with sounded a bit strange, he thought it was true. And while he would still prefer others to be without darkness, because of how lonely it was, he thought the best thing he could do was to embrace who they are and perhaps make that darkness a bit less lonely, and perhaps in the long run that will be helping enough.

"With that said the answer to your question of me being here should be quite clear as one such as myself would be natrual drawn to such a scary place as you refered to it."

Nightstalker then proceeded to walk up to Yue after placing his sword in the ground. Yue tilted his head in curiosity, his tail still swaying from side to side with a sort of peppiness Yue could not escape.

"Alright that should about do it better than earlier actually, and you might want to take a few steps back just to be safe."

Yue was curious to know what was going to happen. Nightstalker had used powers through music before and since Yue also channeled through music it was that kind of power that was most interesting to him. He figured he shouldn't bother asking about it and it would be best to just wait and see what was going to happen. He took an inch step closer to Nightstalker and spoke in a whisper, "Would it be alright if i just hid behind you instead?"

Nightstalker thought Yue's way of describing the blance of light and dark a bit strange but thought at least a more developed opinion then the one he had one the two had first met. Nightstalker had no intention like some of those that came before him to plunge everything into darkness but instead Nighstalker saught to asorb the darkness from others to grow stronger and only consume others with darkness in matters he found fiting to his own personal gain. Nightstalker then turn his head to look at Yue "I suppose that would be ok, if I calvulated this right we should be a good distance from the faulting zone, that and I hope you have good balance because here we go!" Nighstalker then raised his arms out like just befpre pointing out in the direction of the sowrd and suddnly n electric charge shot out from Nightstalker's arms at the sword and the ground below them began as a massive metal ore in the shape of a house sized down rose up under the ground until the peak of the dome was at then feet high. While the dome rose Nightstalker using the same magnetic powers to raise up the dome allowed himself to become magnified to it as pushed up preventing him from falling off it and he hoped Yue would be able to stay up as the dome rose, which he could do easy if he had a good sense of blance given the speed of the ome rising was moderate and the shaking it made not high either. Once the dome was in place Nightstalker who was standing on what would happen to be the front half section walked up to the peak of the dome or its center rather where his sword not stood straight up, and he pulled out his sword sheathing it once more. "Aw home sweet home" he said standng on the center of the dome.

Yue felt static or something shiver through him then the earth began to shake. Since Yue was used to running across tree limbs and climbing trees and rocky mountains and all this Yue was very good at controlling his body weight distribution and his fantastic balance saved him from the potentially embarrassing situation of falling over due to some shaking floor. At first Yue was really close to Nightstalker but once he started to feel the static he took a few paces back. Eventually it was over and Nightstalker was standing before a weird object, which if Yue wasn't mistaken, was a sort of house, and if he wasn't mistaken, was made of some sort of metal. Yue was a little surprised to see such a thing, what a bizarre power. It didn't rely on music which he was a little sad about but he could get over it.

"This is a weird home,"
Yue blurted out without thinking it might be offensive. "Although I guess I'm not one to talk, i'm technically without a 'home' in the conventional sense." Yue took a few steps left and right observing the strange structure, "Yes this is a weird home... what do you do here?" Yue wouldn't have figured Nightstalker the home type, although he just sort of figured Nightstalker lived in his own dimension or something, just phasing in and out here and there doing who knows what without ever stopping. Yue crossed his arms and tilted his head, his tail still wagging, perhaps even Nightstalker preferred to have a home. Once more Yue was disappointed in his jumping to conclusions, he would have to stop being so presumptuous if he was ever going to go home again.

Nightstalker then walked down in front of the large metal dome rock so he was standng near Yue, looking over what would eventually become his new home. "Well I suppose seeing a large dome made out of numerous metallic rocks doeslttle strange but it was the only thing I could use around here really to make it with." Nightstalker then put the tips oh his thumbs together making a square shape with both his hands and held his arms out straight again. small static charges came off his arms and some of the metal rocks in the front of the dome started flying pass Yue and Nighstalker until there was a rectangular opening that would act as the entrance, a doorway of sorts. "Well besides sleep and eat inside of here I am not too sure yet, maybe continuing my practice in the dark arts though with out all my books that I had back home it will be a little difficult to do so, but maybe if there is a place to get books here then I can." Nightstalker then walked inside and then back out standing next to Yue again. "Well now all it is needs is some decorations and maybe some furniture and it well make a good home, almost like the ne I use to live in."

Yue didn't know what furniture was but assumed it was something similar to decorations. Besides the furniture thing, he could see Nightstalker living in a house like that. He didn't know a whole lot about books either, he just knew what they were for. Yue himself couldn't read, everything in his village was passed down by the spoken word. He wondered what a book on dark magic would be like, probably not Yue's cup of tea. Yue listened to Nightstalker intently, imagining Nightstalker living in one with each things that he mentioned, sleeping, eating, etc. Then Nightstalker mentioned a home he used to have. Yue imagined him doing the simple things like washing clothes or sweeping, the image was so humorous he would have laughed out loud if he wasn't consciously holding his laugh back.

Then Yue realized what he just said, Nightstalker used to have a home. For some reason he had to leave, did Nightstalker used to live in a different manner than how he did now? Perhaps with a job or family or something. Yue decided to ask, "Hey Nightstalker, what was the other house you used to live in like?"

Nightstalker letout a dee sigh and sat on the ground, and picked up a sma clump of snow and blew itout of his hand watchin gthe snow fall to the ground. "It is is like a distant dreamn now, a place called the kingdom of ice, where winter never ended. I lived in a small stone brick cottage, with snow as far as the eye could see. From he eak I lived on I could see the castle made entirely of ice, when then sun would shine on it looked like the most beauitful diamod in the world, and around that time the princess Luna would standthere looking up at me from her tower." Nigstalker's mindthen flashed with futre memories and his tone became dark and biter once more. "Thanks to a group of argonant bastards though that all went away."

Yue listened to Nightstalker's story eagerly, sitting down at some point and looking up at him. What a beautiful place a castle of ice sounded. He hated that such a beautiful place could live in anywhere but peace. Nightstalker retold the story and near the end his sheer bitterness, almost hatred towards someone who took all that away from him. Yue tried to remember princess Luna's name, she seemed important, perhaps even important to Nightstalker. Yue felt saddened himself just listening to the story, there simply weren't words for how he felt to such a tragedy such as that. Yue scooted forward, more than his curiosity was peaked now.

"Nightstalker... what happened?"

"I will show you" Nightstalker then picked up his guitar and began to play ((the song he is playing is The Little Things Give You Away by Linkin Park)) Suddenly Yue and Nightstalker were standing by the massive castle of ice Nightstalker had just described to Yue a moment before. "Given I was oneof the most smartest people of my kingdom I was comissioned to do a survey of the castle to look for any weak points of the structure in case of attack." The view change again both of them stood by a largedam like structure made out of pure ice. "I had discovered at the time that these structures called leeves that controlled the entire flow of water for the Kingdom of Ice could easily be destroyed by a new weapon from the Kingdom of Earth which was at war with the Kingdom of Ice. This weapon was capable of releasing seismic aves that could cause the leeves to become destroyed, sending the entire castle underwater. I went to give my report to the king but little did I know his advisor who looked over my report was actually planning on betraying my king. The advisor had be brought for the king and insisted I was a traitor."
The view changed again and Yue and Nightstalker apared in the royal court and there satthe king on his throne andstanding next to him was his advisor and before them was a younger Nighstalker making his plea. "You have to believe me my king if ourenemies use theirweaponto attack our leeves the entire castle will be completely submereged underwater before anyone could even react in time. We have to evacuate everyone livingin the castle to the higher village suntil this war is over"
"My king whatthis boy speaks is of pure ridiculous, and should bemarked as treason for trying to spread paranoia of doubting the strength of his majesty's army and also to suggest the strength of one our most highly advanced structures is complete blasphmey. Not to mention the suggestion that his majesty hide among commoners." Finally the king stood to give his decscion. "Nightstalker you shall be held inprisoned for the acts of high treason against te kingdom for making such claims and will be forced to fight in the front lines of the army for the remaining of this war"

The scene faded again and there was an image two armies facing each other. "Being put in the front lines was essentially adeath penalty, andnot to mention my flank was positioned too far away for me to stop he very thing I feared would happen. As soon our ranks were broken the Earth Kingdom brought a massivemachine with a drill on it that pentrated the ground releasing seismic waves that destroyed the leeves andwhile everyone was busy trying to keep alive largewaves rose up and before one could even think we found ourselves being washed away. During all the chaos the king's advisor had kidnapped Princess Luna and evacuated withe castle with her fleeing to the Earth Kingdom. Lucy for me part of the rubble from the castlehad managed to float up to the surface of the water, and I had kept myself a float on. Others were not so lucky The water had risen so high that it was only a few below the montain peek villages. One of te villgers found me a drift and pulled me up. For several days I helped the villagers pull out all the floating bodies on the water. Given the extreme cold weather though only a couple weeks later the water foze solid freezing everything that di not float to the surface to be trapped in the ice forever.

Months soon turned into years and peple had come to grips ith life after his tragedy with no royal family left the kingdom of ice fell apart andbecame nothing more but a few scattered villages that still remained. Several more years had gone by and I was walking home when I saw a girl in rags running she feel down exhaustedand I took her into my home. I discovered a hex had been casted on herand I was able to undo the spell asboring the dark curse into myself. And as I peered into the girls eyes I soon discovered who it was, Princess Luna. She had no meory of who she was and was orced to be nothing morebut a servant for the Kingdom of Earth. Together we built a new, simple life together and at last all seemed right with the world.
Thiswould not last long however, for he advisor that had betrayed our king managed to track down were the princess had fledtoo and as I was coming home from the marketthat day I arrived to that bastard with my beloved in his arms and he drew a daggert sabbing her in the heart and rode off. I then attempted to use my skills in the dark arts to bring her back to lifebut instead a vortex formed sending me to this world."

The song ends and Yue and Nightstalker stod alone on the montain peak. "And that is why I must do what I am doing for Luna's sake I shall bring her back to life andwill create aperfect world for just he two of us no mtter what I have to do to ensure that happens."
