Goodbye, past, security, memories.
Goodbye, Pern.
Hello, future, uncertainty, danger.
Hello, Inora
— — —
The familiar world of Pern is only a memory, kept by the dead long forgotten, devoid of dragons and their faithful riders. Bravery and desperation enabled the founding of a new colony, a new planet, a place called Inora. Habitable by mankind and dragonkind Inora at first glance appears to be a new Pern, capable of sustaining a new society of dragonmen, however, all is not what it seems….
— — —
Dangers lurk in the darkness, menaces unknown to the Pernese ancestors. Threats far worse than Thread attack without mercy. Dragons no longer mirror those of old, neither in color nor design, capable of abilities never dreamt of. The colors of Gold, Green, Bronze, Brown and Blue are but mythic legends barely recognized by Harpers themselves. How long has it been since they were seen? The years are too great to count….
Although humans sustain themselves, they are not alone. Strange new races have slowly appeared, one by one, multiplying and mixing to become normal. Magic can be found in some of the new breeds, wherever they came from. Thankfully racial feuds are limited, but there is a greater concern for all of Inora: dragonriders are no longer brethren by default….

Inora is separated amongst riders and nonriders, land dwellers, Weyr dwellers and Base dwellers. War has left dragonriders divided. The Guardians reside at Kithkanan Weyr, swearing to protect Inora from menaces, piracy and muder, while Rogue riders reside in Darvoluk Base: a poisonous, difficult habitat of outlaws and the misunderstood.
No one knows the cause of their warring, or why they continue to loathe one another. But all is not what it seems and the world cannot be divided into black and white so easily. Guardians and Rogues alike stake their claim in Inora
Will you?
