Well ... everything has gone down the shitter.
Here goes a life. Upside-down, for the umpeenth goddamn time.
We've been having problems with our landlord. He's done so many illegal things ... And we've caught him on all of them. Twice notified the authorities, after he harassed me and entered our residence without asking permission. We had plumbing problems and he blamed it all on us until the state told him the system was obsolete and that he had to put in another one. Our first month here, we ended up calling the fire Marshall on him because we had no smoke detector/fire extinguisher, and his credentials to rent (they discovered) had expired, costing him $600.
Now he has personally stated to us that he will do everything to get us out.
So ... leaving a note here because I'm not quite sure what will happen. I have an awesome credit score so we might be able to find a place. On the other hand ... If not, and we don't have time, I could very well end up homeless.
Mom's got connections in Egypt and can get there for free. She has the option of bringing me, but I have a home - a life (not much of one) - here.
So if I disappear for a while, no cause for alarm ....

Well I may have struck some luck.
Mom gave up fast o looking for cheap places to live.
I scoured around. Section 8 closed in 2002 ... BUT is due to open again sometime in the middle of this year.
Also applied for the Mews, a welfare community. I am on a waiting list of about six months.
But the big thing ... is that through various resources, I was able to get ahold of an affordable housing department and found that my mother and I are applicable for a two bedroom apartment. They're sending out an application today (and we'll be put on a waiting list.)
In other news, I'm bringing in my MONOC application today. I have big hopes for this place. It's where I wanna go once I get my EMT-cert, but I'm applying as a call taker, full time. Let's hope these dreams aren't crushed. (I've heard they were on a hiring freeze).
So I'll be at the Squad today and am working the night shift tonight. Chances are that I won't see any of you until tomorrow. ~

Good Luck...
You have my prayers and well-wishes and crossed fingers and karmic blessings... see you when you've returned.

Bad luck ...
That's funny ...
Stuff just happened.
We have to appear in court on March 20th.
And if we lose, we're out.
The only emergency housing I can get is a homeless shelter.
So two options:
1.] Find a small place with mom, AGAIN. And split all the expenses down the middle.
2.] Find my own apartment. Or studio. But everything's damn expensive ... and I'd most likely end up homeless. I have the option of sharing a rental but ... I lack a car, and have no way of getting back and forth to class or work or Squad. Best bet is option 1.
At least I talked to my boss. SHe's putting me on for 40hours/week.
