Appearance: Selkies have two different forms they can take. A human form with slight to almost major changes in the human form and then they have their seal forms. Liam's human form is 5'8'' in with his body looking very slim with fine muscles rippling underneath his tan skin. Males in the selkie race almost look like an elf with a graceful and serene appearance. Liam has ebony black hair that sways above his hips and he usually does not put it in a ponytail but just lets it hand loose. His face has high cheekbones with sea foam eyes that always have a dreamy look in them and his nose is slightly roundish like that of a seal. Selkies don't wear clothing much but Liam fearing that no one outside of the sea realm would talk to him he wears pants outside of the water. However, he wears no shirt only if he gets cold. Also along his skin there are white spots that match up with the white spots in his seal fur.<br>
His seal form is slim but larger then his human form. In seal form, Liam's fur is slick and has white spots in it. Basically he just looks like a regular seal but he can go in both saltwater and fresh water.<br>

Personality: Liam is very curious about the world, since his home is in the water, all land-walkers are foreign to him. He is very open, sometimes too much with strangers and he will scare them away. Also he seems to not care about personal space and he can be like a child at times. Though he is open and caring he does have secrets and if you try to pry them out of him he will shut off completely and might disappear for a time. <br>

History: Was born in a sea near the North Pole and lived there peacefully with his clan until one day an explorer came their way. He was known around the northern areas as a collector of rare animals and artifacts and so it was quite odd when Liam saw him one day on a boat with binoculars. In his seal form he swam down and told his other relatives and friends and they all went to go take a look at the stranger. They didn’t know that what he was looking for was them. He had heard tales about Liam’s clan and wanted to investigate himself since they were very rare specimen. However, he had also heard the myth that if you take a selkies’ seal coat and hide it yourself that the selkie has to follow you forever and never be able to return to the sea. Getting tired of watching him, they all swam away back to the depths or their cave but two stayed behind, Liam and his sister Gwen. Both Liam and Gwen had never seen a human and they were completely amused and awed by him and soon enough the explorer noticed his little crowd. Wondering, just maybe that these two were selkies in their seal form he observed them as they finally swam away after an hour or two. Following them on a life boat, he watched as Liam swam away as Gwen changed from seal to human and quickly hid her seal hide underneath a rock as she went inland. Rowing up on shore he quickly went over to the rock and grabbed the hide. A shrill scream was heard as Gwen came running out of the forest with tears in her eyes as she beheld the explorer holding her seal skin. He bade her enter his boat and she had to follow. They soon made it back to his ship but Liam had heard his sister’s distress and followed them quickly trying to reach them. A ladder fell down the side of the ship and the explorer told Gwen to climb up the ladder. Finally reaching the boat, Liam shifted into his seal form and climbed into the boat with the explorer. A brawl was issued and Liam won finally as he choked the explorer to death. But he was too late, the ship took off as the sailors saw the strange and disturbing sight and his sister was gone. He made a vow to find his sister one day and that’s why he roams the inland. <br>

A few lines IC (In Character) of your character entering the Forest:<br>

Harsh footsteps echo as he makes his way towards the forest, his mind lost somewhere else in time then in the cruel reality he resides in. He had found his long lost sister but not in the state he had hoped to have found her in. Instead of finding her alive, well and happy among the humans, he instead found her grave. She had committed suicide just one year after the incident and the people who let her stay with them had buried her. Now that he had found his sister he couldn’t go back to the sea, back to his home. It was tainted with the blood of his sister and the failure of a brother he had become to be. Blind with the fury and grief that he bore, he did not notice the trees thicken around him as he went deeper into the forest. Thickets scraped at his naked torso and face with also the sharp points of twigs digging into his feet as he ran. However he couldn’t keep this up and he finally fell down upon his knees, exhausted physically, emotionally and mentally. Dragging himself over to a tree, he leaned back upon it and let his head sink down to his chest.<br>

Ruby was quietly grazing when she heard something crashing through the thick branches nearby. She ignored it for a few moments, but her curiousity peaked when the crashing suddenly stopped. She looked up, then rushed towards where it had stopped.<br>
She was surprised at the creature in the clearing. He (or she - it had long black hair) looked sad. Ruby decided to cheer he/she up. She rushed to their side, licked the side of his/her face, and grinned. "Hi! I'm Ruby!" she shouted happily. "What's your name?"
