* Aden, Serasaikikuu, Spirit in the Wind, and Obsidianstorms have been removed fromt he RP due to lack of posting. (Serasaikikuu however has returned since then in another character form)

* Activity in the Visions forum has picked up and the story is flowing along now, though it is taking larger than I had anticipated. This may affect the duration of summer in the normal RP forums. Until the Deep Forest Vision story continues, it will remain summer in the other forums.

* ddpej and Ayissa have found their way back to us and it's like they never left, yay!

* New (adjusted) rules are in the make. *suggestion can be made in the Woodland forum*

* A combined storyline is going on in two of the RP forums (the Meadow and the Forest) where an army of the undead has invaded our lands in order to capture their enemy Barbannis Wolf.

* Announcements will be made in here more frequently from now on.

* Gold CSC will expire in 10 days.

I just made ddpej (Smoky Death) a mod of the Boundary Mountains, the Cave of Shadows, and the Edge of the Woods.

New evil creatures may now be greeted and accepted by Smoky Death as well.

*Miyuki and Sonyawolfess have been removed from the RP due to...no posting!!

*Ourania Dreamchaser has been warned, though as she has left no e-mail can not be warned that way.

*Nyxaryss made it back in time before the grim reaper could strike!


*The first big fic/RP concerning our characters and their lives in Deep Forest/The Mountains will start soon, I'll let you know more about it when I have a chance to write it down. I hope it'll be fun!

*Darthy and Mou have been made Mods of the Away from the Woods and Woodland Talk forums, wether they stay there depends entirely on them!

*A start has been made to write a fic about Deep Forest and it's inhabitants. Enough members have joined up to start as soon as possible!

* new forum has been added -the Unicorn's Visions forum- where the actual story writing will take place.

*Lumi has been made a mod of the Meadow and the Edge of the Forest like ddpej. AND like ddpej this means she now has the power to accept new members to Deep Forest! The good ones in her case.

* A new forum has been opened: "Creative Woodwork".

* Kraik has been removed from the RP as he stopped posting there.

* The add-on story in the Visions forum has slowed down to an almost stop right now, but will hopefully soon pick up the pace again.

Our current plots are heading towards their ends!
A deafening scream can be heard all over the forest from the Lost Fields,
announcing not only the morning but death to all creatures.
If you wish to be involved somehow, then find the threads involved or ask for them in
Away from the Woods. The Lost Fields forum has finally been reopened!! Along with our
newest evil forum: The Swamps ^_^ Read the RP details in every RP forum to learn more.

I have adjusted the rules to clear up what is allowed.
The character limit we have at UV is per person, not account.

After a very long absence our very own Reaper has returned at last!
He has gone through the Inhabitants forum and picked out his potential victims.
If you received a Reaper through mail or otherwise, then please make a post in the Reaper forum,
either in a new topic, or in your joining threads to show that you will continue to RP them.

UPDATE: Griatch has given us a new version of the Deep Forest map!
Many thanks to him and you should all check it out! ^_^

UPDATE 2: I have once again made a poll for all members to voice any complaints and such about UV, here.

There has been some uneasiness going on that you will need to know about here.
Also, a week has passed so I am closing the Reaper forum again till next month.
Of the 17 members who received a Reaper, 6 have returned, yay ^_^

Thanks for having taken the time to pass by the poll I put up!
I have added the suggestion made in there by Shadowed Illusions and Griatch
by improving our joining template. New members will be using this new profile,
and I strongly urge people currently at the Edge to update their joining threads to include
the added section of Disadvantages. Older members of course can also flesh out their characters
by adding this section to their already existing profiles and give more depth to Deep Forests' regulars.
Just make a new topic in Away from the Woods to have your profile opened and you're set to go!

If your newly accepted chars were added then please check if everything is correct.
Also, some people requested their joining profiles to be opened for editing, but have not done so yet.

Somewhere in the next 5 days Unicorn's Visions at EZboard will be closing down.
This will be a permanent thing, meaning after it is closed down it will never open up for posting again.
During these days all the information (all threads from the past 4 years) will be transfered to our new location
(new address will be released at a later time). You will still be able to post here in a seperate forum while
waiting for the new board to open up, but you'll have to wait till then to continue posting within the current
active threads. When the new board opens up I will post the new location and give instructions on how to
activate your accounts (which will have the same names as they do here).
If you have any questions, thoughts of panic to be soothed or whatever, please go here.

The new UV has been open for almost two weeks now,
so I think enough time has passed for members to migrate and look around ^_^
Time to get back to the actual RPing! Starting with a rollcall to see who made the move and who hasn't,
which characters are still with us to continue RPing with and who have left us. I have opened up the
Reaper forum and placed all the profiles from the inhabitants forum in there. If you wish to continue
RPing here with them then just bump up their profile by making a new post in their profile. All threads
not bumped up by Friday next week will be removed and the chars taken from the character lists.

To the people having trouble with their account going inactive:
This is normal. If you change your email or password, it'll automatically inactivate your account
until you click the activation link sent to you by email (so make sure your email is correct!)

in your profile, or turn off the option to receive notifications of any kind! It's giving people
errors that say the system can't send an email...because the email given is incorrect. Thanks.

The Reaper forum has been closed. All profiles of chars not in the
Inhabitants forum now will have to be reaccepted at the Edge if you wish to still RP with them.

The Lost Fields exist no more! A new forum replaces it now: "Silvertree Grove"!
From the darkland spires, past battle scars and remains themselves, a new sort of tree was formed
and grows now plentiful across the grounds that once formed the Lost Fields. Swirling tendrils of
smoky light cover the ground and move around everything and everybody present. It no longer is a
place of depression and sadness, but one of mystery and peace that offers the soul a sanctuary from
fear and darkness with it's ever present white glow that illuminates the area day and night.
To read about it's creation, go to <a>this</a> RP thread.

"A sudden wind picks up, gathering in strength very quickly until it resembles a raging storm, one that seems to come from everywhere and nowhere at the same time, just as the original wind that had marked the beginning of the plague. It doesn't feel like a storm as it touches the ones in the forest though. Fur, manes, feathers and cloth are ruffled, but no more than it would have by a strong breeze. It makes for an odd experience where the senses contradict each other on what is happening. Any affected by the plague touched by the wind will feel an unexplained relief as the wind dies down again. Their magical abilities are restored just as instantly as they had been taken away. Their bodies are still sick, but the promise of a quick recovery seems to linger in the very air that has gone silent once more. Around them the moss covering the trees rapidly turns brown and simply falls to the ground, leaving the trunks and branches of the trees bare and healthy looking."

The plague has been cured! To read more about it go here.
The above is what has just happened throughout the forest, meaning if you're in a RP thread
right now, this will affect your character(s). You will have a week to wrap up any RP threads you
are curently involved in (this does not include any joining threads), so we can then move on to
the next season: Autumn! Next week, on Friday the 25th, Fall will come to Deep Forest and RP time
will move on once more. You will then be free to return to normal RP again without a plot dictating
the Forest's current events for the time being ^_^

The feline pride (Adele Makani) has found it's home on the Hunting Grounds
in the forum by the same name! This means the grounds covered in this forum has been extended to include
a part of the forest across the River from the wolf pack lands. Happy hunting all, and watch out for the
wolves and kitties roaming around in there!
And as a sidenote, not all the new owners of the newborn wolf puppies have shown up in the Meeting Circle
to pick up their new character, so this is a reminder. Also, one female pup is still without a RPer as well.
If you're interested, then let us know in Away from the Woods!
And, finally if you haven't voted for your favourite name to give to Blackback's new beer, then do so now.

To all the people who suddenly found themselves banned: Sorry!!!
It was an accident, it's kind of a long story, but basically I was trying to get rid of a spammer,
and normal members got caught in the banning process somehow...I haven't quite figured out how that's
possible, but I do know how to prevent it from happening again. So no more accidental bannishments ^_^;
If you're one of the banned people, could you let me know here? Thanks ^_^;

You can now use many of the forum's smileys in chat as well.
You'll just have to test and try to see which are and aren't in chat, though I may end up putting up a list
in the rules forum when I'm done with them for easy reference ^_^
Also, could all members with an accepted character please make sure they have access to the Meeting Circle?
If it you can't see a forum by that name, then you don't have access and you can request it in the Deep
Forest Spirit forum. Also, the complain poll is back! So please take a looksie and share your thoughts ^_^

Today Autumn has come to Deep Forest!
All summer threads will be moved to the archives, and you can start new RP threads that take
place at least two days after the plague was cured! This is to ensure continuity ^_^
In honor of the occasion I have given the board a new look and few touch ups here and there!
I have also added something that should remove the problems people were having with unread icons
disappearing prematurely. You can now also bookmark a post within a thread by clicking a little
icon in the upper right corner of each post. There will be some more small changes like these,
but I haven't had the time yet so far ^_^ I'll probably tweak the board's appearance in the week
to come as well, but odds are you won't even notice it, lol. Another thing I'll be adding is links
in people's custom titles that lead straight to their character's profile! And finally, we have a
newly updated forest map made by Griatch (thank you!), so check it out ^_^
