EDIT: Viz, I don't know if phpbb offers anything for smartphones and the likes yet, otherwise I'll see if an alternative layout would offer a solution. (alternative as in people can choose to use that one.)

I might be a little cracked.

But how can I view old Private Messages? I can't seem to get into them. I automatically get directed to composing a new message, but I can't check on old ones.

I need to see one of the recipes Noodalie sent me. >.<

Ok, messaging system, lol, this is how it works: When you just want to do whatever you go to your control panel, then clicking on "Overview" will give you the option for "Private Messages". This opens the page to compose a new message, but under the tab that says "Compose Message" you get a drop down that lets you go to your inbox, sent messages, everything else. It's all there, just works a bit differently

I added some code to remove styling when browsing on a mobile something, and it worked perfectly! It was also ugly beyond belief....I disabled that again. I can also add a style that is easy to handle for a mobile device, but the problem is, to switch to it, you need to go to the control panel, so that kind of doesn't work if you can't get the drop down to work...

Still pondering how to tackle this one.

Add a script that loads a certain style sheet if the browser is Mobile Safari, Opera Mobile, Android, Mobile Chrome, BlackBerry Internet Browser, Dolphin, Bolt, Internet Explorer Phone, etc etc. That should be doable

That's the first thing I looked at, but I'm not creative enough to come up with such coding from scratch, nor could i find anyone who had done it succesfully already...so if you happen to know how to solve this or where to find something, then please share ^_^

You just need a mobile style built already... can probably download one, just search mobile style phpbb on your favourite search engine, and something useful should appear. Inshallah.

Special mobile version is up! It is automatically detected when you come here on a mobile phone, so you don't need to switch manually, but there is an option at the bottom that lets you switch to the normal full version you see on a comp. The style is very simple, not even a banner, so it should load quickly on all mobile devices.

Could use something on the index page to show when a forum has unread posts in it. Also, a link to Chat would be nice too.

When a forum has unread posts the link is purple, otherwise it's green ^_^ Good point about the chat link!

I haven't been able to find the button to switch to mobile mode while on the phone, but that's cool. I have ways of coping with being unable to read things because of minimal memory.

Oh, there is no button to switch to mobile version, it should detect it automatically. It take it this doesn't happen for you?

It looks to me the same it did before the update.

Of course it doesn't work. xD Nothing ever works for me. But it's fine. Just annoying - because I'll be looking at a thread and suddenly the message will come up - 'Insufficient memory for this operation' - and the page will go blank or it will kick me back to the top of the page, minus the posts.

A link to chat has been added to the menu (top right).

Announcements have also been added...but it doesn't look that nice really.

ooooor not...that switch is already there, but also only if your device is detected as a mobile version (way way at the bottom of the forum). So, this is gonna be harder than I thought.
