The words Jah spoke to her were ones she never thought possible, as the pain and hurt of her memories faded,they only left a dull aching in her mind before they slowly became nothing, the need and feeling to heal fed her heart, her very soul with the stregth to brave her past pain and for once it felt good to live, to exist. Slowly, Vala opened ehr eyes. taking in Jah's words...it was a new life...she could finally move on where pain and sorrow once overtook and ruled her life. Looking to Roose she felt his hands against her slender neck and could feel and see the concern and love in his voice and his eyes. "Thank you...both of you," she whispered softly as she watched the two and finally smiled, not a false smile she wore to push aside past concerns that never went deeper then the skin, but one that showed bright from her soul. With a deep sigh she finally accepted that she was free...that she could live and continue her life without fear, for with friends...no with FAMILY like this, there was nothing she could not accomplish.

Time to Heal...
Roose saw.... felt the changes within Vala. Saw her look, her smile... her <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>genuine</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> smile... heard her whispered words before the smile, and felt the sigh pass through her entire being... felt her finally relax. Yet... Jah had returned to her spot, wings flat on the water... water up to her neck, as she settled deeper... even her own words of thanks, aimed at him, sounded... distracted, tired. And that collar....<br>

He couldn't find words to return Vala's thanks, not yet, so... he gave her another hug, even wrapped his wings around her neck in his happiness, but...<br>

Again, without words, Roose sluiced through the water to Jah's side, settled next to her in the water, and reached towards the collar...<br>

Re: Times Remembered...
Vala smiled at Roose as he reached out to her and slowly moved closer so he could be in contact with her. Her long tail curled about her as her wings shivered from the cold but it was a good feeling. Every once in a while a dragon had to get a bit cold to relieve depression and illness then slowly build up the heat within themselves again to feel one hundred percent. At the mention of getting out to groom she thrummed softly. "Sounds like a great idea...though you did say you did not have heated sands correct? Do you have any heated stones at all?" she asked hoping he had something that would buffer her hide before oiling it. A dragon's hide would look more ragged then the branches of a naked tree if they didn't buff it first.

Time to Groom...
Roose held in a laugh at Jah's hint of humor, and decided not to comment... the way Jah would not quite meet his eyes, nor Vala's, told Roose she was not quite at ease, despite the tone of her voice. And though he withheld laughter and comment, he did not hold off dealing with her unease....<br>
<br>
While his tail lightly stroked the side of Vala's neck, down near her shoulders, his hands oh so gently took hold of Jah's muzzle... and his eyes met hers. He smiled, with a hint of sadness in his expression... then touched his forehead to hers, Eye to Stone. And... when he pulled away... his hands lightly rubbed her cheeks, without a word...<br>
<br>
... then he looked at Vala, smiled a smile no longer sad, and shook his head...<br>
<br>
... "No... I have something better...."<br>
<br>
With those words spoken, his Eye flared... the waterfall's flow stopped, the pool they stood in rapidly drained... as the room's matrix shifted back, the cliffside texture smoothed out, and the scene shifted to that of a forest glade... strange, red-barked trees nearby... massive dark trees, wide of canopy, towering in the distance... other details of nature, alien, yet familiar in feel to any Spirit still close to the natural world around them, in their own native environment. Plants were still plants, air was still air... wind still wind... and sunshine, warm as usual... even the sounds heard felt comforting in their aliveness, distant alien birdcalls touching the ear....<br>

... of course, Jah also looked a bit floofy... though Vala's lack of fur meant she'd simply had a nice warm dry-off, to take the chill away.<br>

Roose led the two females out of the shower. A quick, pre-grooming run of claws through his fur took away some of the floof... but his guests came first. He turned to Vala... passed a nod and glance to Jah... then spoke...<br>

... "Vala, I need to know... I can treat just the rough areas, or I can give your entire body a grooming treatment. The latter involves more... personal... touching. Every part receives attention... and I don't know how comfortable you are with such closeness...." He refocused his attention towards Jah... "Same for you, Jah... do you wish just the basics, or a full grooming?" Roose grinned... "I intend to give myself the full treatment, after I'm done with both of you...."<br>

Re: Time to Groom...
Vala leant into Roose's caress against her slender neck and turned her large eyes to him. So, this grooming would begin now, eh? Interesting, and even more so that he mentioned that he had something better then heated sands or rocks. She watched, curious, as the water drained and though she had become accustomed to what the ship would do, it was still surprising to see the water fall turn from a cold pool to a heated area that warmed her blood and filled her with renewed energy. She proceeded after Jah and Roose and blinked athis mention of grooming, there was a choice? Craning her head back she looked over her body noting the uneven patches...it had been too long since she'd been able to properly groom herself. "I believe I would like the full grooming, my hide is so uneven it would only cause more trouble not to deal with it now..." she sighed softly.

Roose bowed to Jah, with a raise of his tail...<br>

So... Roose stepped to the counter where he'd set out his grooming tools, and palmed the tissue accelerator. For Vala's hide and scales... and everything else... it was the only tool he needed. Not a normal grooming tool, no... but then, Vala's hide needed healing... needed the proper touch. He turned his full attentions to her...<br>

... "Vala... if you are in any way uncomforted by my touch, say so... and I will stop."<br>

Roose touched Vala, stroked her neck in assurance... then instructed her to lay down on her belly, first running his free hand over her rough back scales. When she settled, he crouched down beside her, legs spread... used his free hand to scrape oil from the glands on his inner thighs... rubbed this oil into her scales, as he ran the tissue accelerator over the same area....<br>

Roose's Eye maintained a steady glow, his pattern merging with the accelerator... linking to Vala's pattern... it reached its energies deep into her flesh, like a heated massage... only far better... easing abused tissues, as it melted away dry, rough, patchy areas of hide and scale. Roose knew how to stimulate his thigh glands to produce a larger quantity of oil... he continued to scrape and rub in more... over her back, wings, neck, face and tail... yes, he was thorough... firm, yet gentle at all times, his touch, as well as the accelerator, massaging away the tensions remaining in her muscles... healing deep underneath her skin. Roose had her roll over onto her back... treated her forelimbs, massaged between her digits... continued over shoulders, chest, belly...<br>

Re: Full Treatment...
Vala watched Roose quietly and moved over to the area he instructed so he could begin. She'd never been groomed before, all other times she'd bathe in the waterfall of her home then venture into the deep caverns where hot sands from the sleeping volcano lay. She'd rub her hide into large smooth rocks to even out any rough pathces before turning to the finely grained sand and rubbing her long body into it, smoothing out her hide until it was nearly flawless...though she could never get it perfect it would be adequate, especially after she found aloe plants to rub their oil into her freshly buffed hide.She looked to him and nodded, she knew she may later on feel a bit uncomfortable for no other had groomed her, but once she got into it she was sure to be fine. Following his instruction she lay on her belly, letting her legs fan out beneath her as she completely relaxed.<br>

She'd been right, once he'd begun it was total heaven. The oil along her hide, the heat that traveled deeper then any heat from heated sands could penetrate relaxed every muuscle of her body. A deep rumbling sigh left her as she allowed her eyes to close and let him work his magic. Total Relaxation...
Yes... it didn't matter that Jah and Vala were not Of Blood, not even of his world or species. In Spirit, they were Family... adopted sisters. Such intimate grooming was normal in a 'Twill CityHome... a part of being Family. Something shared, a way to bind the Spirits of all into one closely knit group... each individual caring for others. Roose could see... could feel, through his touch... and hear, through Vala's purr... how deeply her Spirit responded, along with her body. Yes... despite his concerns, Vala accepted his touch everywhere, without the slightest sign of discomfort... if anything, her total relaxation gave encouragement, helped Roose's confidence. He'd groomed... and been groomed like this many times before. Yet, this was the first time he'd groomed a non-'Twill in such a fashion. Anani... she'd simply needed a good brushing, nothing as intimate as this. But Vala... she'd suffered injury, to both body and Spirit. She needed this....<br>

Roose reached the end of Vala's tail, then worked his way back up... over chest, throat, chin... over her face and around her eyes... her ears, her cheeks... yes, he ended his touch with a smile, a touch of his Eye to her forehead...<br>

Vala's body gleemed, her hide like a newborn's... every ache and pain relieved, all the deep scars removed. Roose felt tired, but he was very pleased with the results. With his accelerator in hand, healing had not only penetrated hide into muscle... Roose had pushed deeper, concerned, knowing Vala's history... her desire for children... wanting to make sure her past didn't get in the way of her Dreams. Indeed, Roose had pushed his own Spirit... his own energies... through the accelerator... through hide and muscle and bone, until he'd reached and touched every organ inside... removed the physical scars within. Indeed, his treatment had gone far more than skin-deep...<br>

He reached the counter, placed the accelerator back in its spot, then took up a pair of brushes. It was Jah's turn...<br>

... and Roose was glad to see she'd already taken care of her wings. He had nothing to groom feathers with, only fur and scales. His oil glands fortunately still produced an over-normal amount, due to his earlier stimulation... oil wetted the fur on his inner thighs in a large patch, almost dripping to his knees. So, the brushes received oil, and Roose moved over to Jah...<br>

Roose moved very carefully, so he wouldn't stumble... he didn't want Vala or Jah to know how much he'd given. He didn't want them to worry. Sleep... yes, sleep would help... but so too would food and drink, till he had a chance to settle down and nap away his lack of a good night's rest. He reached the counter, placed the accelerator back in its spot, then took up a pair of brushes. It was Jah's turn...<br>

... and Roose was glad to see she'd already taken care of her wings. He had nothing to groom feathers with, only fur and scales. His oil glands fortunately still produced an over-normal amount, due to his earlier stimulation... oil wetted the fur on his inner thighs in a large patch, almost dripping to his knees. So, the brushes received oil, and Roose moved over to Jah...<br>

Re: Full Treatment...
Vala was nearly asleep when Roose finished his work on his body. It took her a few minutes to remember anything outside of the grooming but slowly she opened her eyes and released a great yawn as Roose moved towards Jah. Floding her wings close to her she felt the first tingles of renwed health and strength racing through her, her wings felt powerful again, sturdy and capable. Rolling onto her belly she situated her legs beneath her feeling the muscles move effortlessly. "Roose...what you ahve done for me is more then exquisite, I ahve not left this...alive since I was but a dragonet living a calm mountain life, I feel as I did before I the humans arrived..." she sighed deeply turning old, yet renwed eyes to Roose. She was eternally grateful and though she would not voice it for she knew his answer would be no, she would find some way to repay him for his kindness.<br>

Talk of Home...
Roose took in Jah and Vala's words... started brushing Jah's shoulders, neck and chest with firm, smooth strokes... massaging the hide under her short fur, and working in the oil. Very slow and careful around her collar, in respect. He looked into Jah's eyes, so close, her wings cupped overhead... glanced towards Vala, a smile on his face.<br>

A slightly embarassed smile....<br>

A slightly self-conscious smile....<br>
<br>
A smile that spoke of how it was nothing he wouldn't have done for Family....<br>
<br>
Yet....<br>

Ohhh, how he wished... how he wished it was time. Wished he was Home... with his pada, his auma... his elder and younger sisters... all of his Family, together... celebrating his... his bonding with... Chorri. And... and he... he hadn't touched the Prime Tree in so long, felt the winds, scented the cool air and warm, in their seasons... visited the Ch'rrrit fields, had a Phu'ta land in his hand... no... no... way too long away, he could feel that longing in his Heart. For Home... for Family... for... for Love, for the promise of a Future, together.<br>

His memories.........<br>

Roose tried to keep control, to hide the tears, soft as they were... but, he couldn't. Brushes still in hand, he crouched down, wiped at his eyes with the backs of his hands. His voice wavered a bit...<br>

... "No... no.. not... not at all beyond... imagining." He reached up, and stroked the back of his hand on Jah's chest... not intending to, but wiping off the tears onto her fur... "I... came here, to Deep Forest, because it... reminded me of home." His tail moved, his tuft... almost... reaching Vala's turned shoulder, but brushing her cheek, instead... "My Home is more than... beautiful. Life... fills everthing. Trees, from seedlings to ancient giants over six hundred feet tall... fruits of all kind, on tree and vine... fields of grain and grass and flower... clouds and sun and rain and wind, and scents of all kinds brought with it... birds, beetles... whole flocks and swarms twisting in flight through clear skies...." Roose gestured with the brushes, painting pictures with his hands... "With rain comes trickles, with trickles... rivulets, then streams, then rivers... lakes and oceans... fish... bugs and worms and reptiles and small mammals... so much life, like yet different from here, as I am different... as... as life shares commonality, in all its unique differences...."<br>

Roose suddenly realized one of his own "unique differences" was showing... his feelers had unconsciously slipped out... had started to twitch against his inner thighs, both wiping themselves in the excess oil. His crouched posture hid nothing...<br>

... "Yes... differences...."<br>

His earlier smile returned, in part, as he consciously retracted his errant, "unique" masculine parts...<br>

... "Sorry... I was..." Roose sighed... "thinking of Chorri...." He looked up, caught the eyes of his female guests, with a bit of a sheepish expression on his face... a bit of guilt, as if his hand had been caught in the cookie jar...<br>

... "I could... ahem!... reveal more about my HomeWorld...." His eyes rolled at the bad pun... "But... if you're willing to wait, I have images I can share. In the shower, you saw a sample of my Home... what it's like....<br>

Roose wanted to swipe more oil onto the brushes... return to grooming Jah... but, for the moment, he wasn't sure if Jah wanted more oil, after what she must have seen.........<br>

Vala had closed hre eyes as Roose began to describe his home, of the life that walked upon the lands, lived within each creature. She could feel the humming of the aura and it so relaxed her, awed her in how wondrous it must be. She'd seen much aura in her life, felt it be born and die seen it thrive and suffer. So much had passed through her eyes and her jewels. There were many times she wished not to be the creature she was, wished the burden would never befall any but in her religion one had to hold the candle. Alpha, the beginning, and Omega, the end, both jewel's within her body showed her life and death regardless of what she wished. She'd grown accustomed to it after the first few decades and now it was a part of her. Unfortunately this was also the reason wizards wished for her so...to see the past and what could be the future.<br>
<br>
Opening her eyes she only had a glimpse of what caused Roose's embarassment but only smiled. "I must agree, a young female who could instill such a reaction from her mate, to bring such happiness to you is a special creature indeed. I do pray that you will be united once more and live long prosporous lives," she said softly, the jewels embedded in her forehead and the tip of her tail glowed brightly before dimming. "I would be most honored to see more of your home, though the patience to see such a wondrous place is not a problem in the least."

Lady of Great Remark...
As he glanced from Jah to Vala, a grin split his face... then faded into sadness, a wistful look upwards. Roose dropped his hands... flicked his tail around... and covered his maleness with his tuft, just in case...<br>

... "Ohhh, yesss... enraptured! I... I miss her, so much... my... my own body betrays me!" Roose looked down... "I will show you more... images of my Home," he quickly spoke, "when we eat and drink...." He glanced over towards Jah again, a quiet smile returned for her words. Then he focused his attention on Vala, a deep sigh escaping...<br>

... "If only we <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>were</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END--> mates, she... she would be here with me, enjoying your company. And... and... ohhh, I would be a father by now!" Roose put the brushes down on the floor, by his feet, then stared at the palms of his hands, as he cupped them over his tuft-covered lap... "I would hold our little one, feel Warmth and Heart and Life... would be able to share our child with both of you. I would not feel... so alone. So... awkward, and so frustrated by my hormones. Chorri is indeed a Lady of Great Remark... a special person I've waited a long time to be with, to be her mate, yet... having to leave her for this year, without that intimate part of our relationship fulfilled, has been... difficult. I'm so close to returning Home...."<br>

Roose looked up from his hands, again meeting the eyes of his female guests, his own eyes bright... "So close to returning Home, it's like... almost seeing... almost touching a Dream you've wished for your... entire life."<br>

His words ended, as he glanced back at his hands... then he abruptly stood and moved... gave Vala a hug and a tail tuft brush... turned and walked towards Jah, his Eye flaring, the brushes leaping from floor to hands...<br>

Roose gave Jah a muzzle rub, a gentle stroke with the back of a hand, just behind her nostrils. Vala watched Roose and nodded at Jah's comment. "Oh yes, please allow us to meet her, she sounds like sucha wonderful creature, one so pure and special to win your respect and love is one who indeed deserves you.," she said softly then lowered her head to look him spuare in the face. "As for children, I do pray that one day we will both be blessed with little ones and at the time they may know each other and grow to be friends as you and I have." She then tilted her head up to gaze at Jah and smiled softly. "You as well, Jah. I pray you will find peace with a loving mate and bare young, you as well would make an outstanding mother." Vala then settled down once more, watching as Roose groomed Jah and seeing how much she enjoyed it, much like herself Vala had never had the oppurtunity to allow another to groom her but the experience was one she would never forget, it was one of the very few good memories she had to draw on during times of deep depression.

Fathers and Mothers...
As Roose groomed and Jah talked... spoke such honorable words to him... poor Roose found his heart beating faster, his hands a bit shakey. Had he been human, his skin would have turned beet red. Hearing such words, from her... and then hearing Vala's, after, the young 'Twill felt... felt an even deeper affection for his adopted Spirit Sisters. Felt so... honored by their words. A bit of pride did enter his thoughts, to take away the embarrassment...<br>

... Vala, the way she looked him square in the face, he felt naked in more than body. But he felt pride, that his love for Chorri had impressed them so deeply, they would express a desire to meet her. And Vala... indeed, her words in praise of Chorri made him more proud...<br>
