Inside GreenDay...
Yes, this was indeed going to be an... interesting day. Once Jah, and then Vala, settled on the platform... Roose joined them, gave them each a brush across the shoulders with his tail tuft. Then, without a word, his Eye flared again. Less intense than before, but...

... the rods closed, with a faint musical ting, as they slid against each other. Light... like an early morning's sunshine, still touched by moonlight... lit the shaft's interior. No sense of movement, but a bare second later, the rods parted... and Roose led them forward... out of the shaft, and into a wide hallway, sculpted of dark yellow-chestnut wood and polished blue metal... all smooth, organic, no sharp angles... even the corners were curved... everything lit by a sunshine light that left no shadows. Behind them, the now closed cylinder of rods... marking the shaft they'd rode up on... occupied the exact center of this wide open hallway... the passage they faced was one of four leading away from the shaft... right and left, the wide passageways led to corridors heading fore and aft, to places unseen... the one before them narrowed, then rose up and down in a curved ramp... from their vantage, nothing could be seen beyond... but the passage behind, on the other side of the shaft (if they looked), led into a place of more wood, polished metal... crystal and hanging plants. At the far end, a dome could be seen, bulging down from the ceiling, and under that dome... two intricate chairs, made of more blued metal, wood inlays, and what looked like leather... a place well lit with white light, again with no shadows....

Roose led Jah and Vala forward, up and over the ramp leading to his private quarters. To their right, at the top of the ramp's rise, stood two alcoves... empty, but obviously intended to hold something, given the 'equipment' inlaid into the alcove walls. But, to their left, both Jah and Vala could see two more alcoves... and these were not empty... each held a different suit of... armor?... each made from what looked like grayblack leather... each with a helmet of darkened yellowbrown wood, burnished nickel and crystal... each with arm sheaths made from the same materials... one suit, more simple and plain, sleeker looking... the other, heavier... more elaborate, exuding an artistry shaped for battle, materials more layered... arm sheaths inlaid with what could only be weapons, ports showing like the muzzles of what seemed strange guns....

.... He continued, led Jah and Vala down the other side of the ramp, into... what seemed a small forest meadow, with window-prisms overhead showing blue sky and scattered white clouds... a breeze circling through, bringing with it the scent of grassy fields, fresh turned earth and lightly perfumed flowers... and more... both females could hear, smell... even feel... as if they stood outdoors, on an alien world... wind in their faces, sun on their backs. Yet, it was all an illusion... yes, real... live... plants, grew in the walls, behind clear crystal... but the walls were simply more window-prisms, showing a depth and distance this room couldn't possibly contain... reminding of a large, clear-windowed greenhouse... with low shelves, and cabinets circling the room... shelves lined with odd looking 'books'... nitches holding simple lamps and candles... intricate carvings on the window-prism frames... they could even hear the faint sound of rustling leaves....

.... And, slightly to the right, a circular green door interrupted the view... looking like it belonged nowhere else but on the entrance to a hobbit-hole... and, to the left of this door, butted up against the wall, a large bed... green sheeted, like a field of grass... and strewn with pillows of differing size and shape... again, all grass green... but streaked by marks of golden yellow. Still, the bed itself expressed a deep spiritual artistry... a carved wooden masterpiece of marbled dark red and chestnut brown, its headboard shelves carrying more books and ornate crystal lamps, and a... clock?... of such complexity, it measured not only the time of day to the second, but the seasons... and the phases of at least three different moons, along with the times of celebrations past... and to come, through the rest of the year. Yes, a clock that measured everything the year contained... on Roose's HomeWorld. Yet, it ran with gears... on crystal bearings... each bearing a tiny motor, powered by a main crystal prominently displayed behind glass... glowing gently... with a deep, bluegreen light... reflecting off the face of many dials and marker rings, in their shadowed places....

.... The headboard posts of this bed arched overhead on each side, for three-quarters of its length, connected by seven horizontal posts... each post hung with 'dreamcatchers' and chimes... chimes tinkling softly in the breeze... and the footboard posts mimicked this arch, only shorter, and with only three rods... the first, and closest to the foot, hung with seven bells... the middle rod unused, and the last... hung with fresh clothing....

.... And the whole structure, looking like it was carved from two siamesed tree stumps, grown into the floor, with bedding set into the hollowed out middle....

Roose stared at his bed for a moment, then sighed... laid his staff across the pillows... and rubbed the backs of his hands over the sheets, a ritual he always performed before bedtime... leaving behind the trace of his touch. This time, though... this little ritual only served as a reminder of bedtimes past. He returned a small smile to his guests, his heart and mind on memories, as he glanced briefly 'outside'...

... "Hurrr... follow me...." he said, moving towards the circular green door... his eyes measuring its fifty percent greater size, satisfied his guests would now fit through without difficulty....
Re: Inside GreenDay...
Vala gazed about her as they moved through the shaft, taking in all that was alien to her eyes, the clear sparkling crystal, the unusual machinery everything was so foregin yet so intriguing and wonderous. As they entered over the next ramp she could not believe her eyes. Everything appeared so surreal and delicate that she made sure each step was tender so as not to disturb the beautiful scene. Following Roose on the ramp and into the next area Vala believed she'd been transported to her birthplace. Her only memories of her home were vague but enough to allow all her guards to fall making her feel like a thrity year old dragonet again. All inside area was...nature, trees, grass, a warm summer breeze and the sun. Raising her head she sighed, feeling the heat fill her body, so tempted she was to open her wings and take in more of the heat but she refrained and continued to follow Roose. She watched as he set a few things aside, including his staff and performed what she could only guess was a ritual of his people. Once he turned to them again and beckoned for them to follow did she lower her head and make her way after their male host.

Preparations...
"Thank you, Jah... I would like that, if it's possible." Roose patted her gently on the neck.

The green door opened at the touch of Roose's palm, the central 'knob' retracting, as the door swung inward and settled into a wall pocket. A tunnel-like passage curved to the left, as Vala and Jah stepped over the threshold... a tunnel of black wood swirled with gray and chestnut brown, and lined with a row of shoulder-high glowing crystals that bathed the tunnel in sunlight. Roose led onward, still walking ahead, Jah and Vala behind....

.... Though the tunnel's curve made it seem long, just beyond the curve, the tunnel ended... the walls turned pale gray, veined with thin lines of jade... as if delicate vine tendrils grew along the walls... the room itself was a perfect circle, its walls inset at regular intervals with mirrored window-prisms... the room itself, big enough for the three of them, with space to spare. To the right, inset in a generous alcove... like a shallow cave, stood a wide sink and attendant cabinetry... counterspace, focused crystal lighting, a bevel-edged mirror, and hanging towels. To the left of this wash-up space, surrounded by a clear circle of floor, stood what could only be a toilet... though its smooth, metalic blue contours were tightly sealed... its contours, height... and surrounding clearance... designed for a long-legged, long tailed creature. In other words, a 'Twill....

.... Straight across from the tunnel, in a much deeper alcove... a huge shower, with enough overhead nozzles, melded into a crystal ceiling, to drench anyone inside under a waterfall-intensive deluge... if they were all used at once. Window-prisms formed the wall's circular curve... though all they showed now were images of stone and mirrored reflections, in a seemingly random pattern. A second look around that end of the room brought to notice more sealed cabinet space, set into the wall around the entrance to the shower, on both sides... so integral to the room's materials and design theme, they could be easily missed....

.... Yes, even between the mirrored prisms inset in the walls, there seemed to be cleverly hidden storage space, all around the room... except in the toilet alcove and sink/cabinet area....

Roose headed for this sink/cabinet area... touched the edge of the counter and flared his Eye. A slightly lower area of counterspace slipped out, with a soft click... he then reached up, opened a cabinet door, removed his grooming tool kit... set it on the higher counter, not on the lower extension... opened it up, and layed out his grooming tools. He also opened a pouch on his belt, removed his tissue accelerator, and set it on the counter with the rest. Good... everything he needed for his guests...

... however, Roose was nervous, now... there was only one way he could fill his promise to his guests, when it came to a bath... he would have to join them. The shower had been designed, as all his people's technology, to use a 'Twill's power as the key.

Roose kept his wings tight shut... removed his Nute, and folded it with proper ritual, setting in on the lower extension. With just as much ritual, he removed his belt and pants, set them on top of his Nute, then turned... bowed to his guests, and spoke...

... "If you're ready... Jah, Vala... follow me...."

He led them into the shower... as soon as they were inside, window-prisms rose from the threshold and sealed the shower's entrance... a flicker, and the stone and mirror decor vanished...

... to be replaced by an alien forest glade, still and silent and dappled with afternoon sunlight...

... "I can provide any setting... any environment you wish, within reason... and anything from a steaming mist to an ice cold deluge... just tell me what you would like...."

He smiled a bit shyly... "I prefer a raging, late spring thunderstorm, only slightly cool, but I have also enjoyed dunking myself under a cliffside waterfall...."

Re: Inside GreenDay...
Vala could only watch in awe at what went on about her and though intriuged remained silent so as her senses could take in everything. Following after Roose through the tunnel she slowly manuvered herself through the turns before entering the large bathing chamber. This was a bit intimidating. Usually a long soak in a lake or moderately moving river would be allright until she could find heated sands to scrub her uneven hide against but as she looked around she thought Roose would have something to take care of any roughness in her hide. "It is exquisite, I have never seen anything so breathtaking in my life," she said softly as Roose gathered tools and undressed. She did not mind a male's nudity at all, afterall, she was always without clothing. Chuckling softly to herself she followed Roose and Jah into the large shower chamber. The chamber was large enough that she could lay out onf the floor and still leave substantial room for both and and Roose to bathe without hindering their movements. "I am very impressed. Usually my large frame would be able to move so freely within GreenDay though at first glance it did not seem I'd be able to enter without hindering your movements," she said softly before noticing the change in scenery.Tilting her head at the offer of different backgrounds she smiled. "If it would not be too much troulbe...and if you also agree Jah, I would like a mountain waterfall. Though I know it is not my original homeland memories are enjoyable to relive."

Sharing Water...
For Roose, being 'naked' in front of two strange females wasn't what made him nervous... he'd spent most of his childhood running around in just fur and scales, clothing himself only for certain rituals, during visits and family get-togethers, holidays and other special occasions... and when he just needed the pockets. But, ever since his wings had grown, that had changed. He still had no problem with being naked... in fact, he was proud of his body. Just... his maturity had resulted in certain biological and cultural shifts... yes, his wings had been accompanied by hormonal feelings of discomfort, when in female company... his culture had created the deep tradition of the Nute, to help ease this discomfort....

In 'Twill culture, the covering of an unmated male's wings was far more important than wearing pants. But... 'Twill had been explorers for better than ten thousand years, and they had learned about the need, in some other cultures, to... ahhh... keep things under wraps, so to speak. Around Jah and Vala... even though they were not 'Twill... Roose still felt uneasy, so deep was this cultural tradition. Roose knew, when he and Chorri mated, that hormonal discomfort would disappear... and, oh yes!... having to be away from her for a year had only made the feeling worse.

Still, he'd learned to live with it, during his travels....

And... to keep his wings shut around even non-'Twill females, barring accidents. Which had so far happened a bit too much, since his arrival in Deep Forest. Little Anani, catching him with his wings open... even worse, that unitaur Tracy, catching him in full display. Good thing such shocks weren't fatal....

That, and he was grateful neither Jah nor Vala seemed to mind... not all that surprising, really. But, Roose felt the discomfort anyway. Didn't matter... that neither of them wore clothing, nor even shared his species. Roose had tried to overcome his biological awkwardess with such logic, but failed. So, Roose just ignored the discomfort...

... strange, though, how he'd felt perfectly relaxed, when he'd removed his Nute to cover Vala, last night.

Despite his thoughts and anxieties, Roose hadn't failed to listen to Vala's and Jah's responses to his last words. Vala's words... actually made him relax... no, he kept his wings tight shut, but his nervousness eased considerably... so much like last night. And her request for a mountain waterfall brought the perfect setting to mind... though she had not specified a temperature preference, mountain waterfalls did not fall warm... and Jah herself did not object. So, Roose smiled, and his Eye flared bright again... the matrix of the far wall shifted as the forest glade rippled into an undercut mountainside cliff... the very structure of the wall texturing itself to match the scene... so, when the water flowed sudden and cold, in a rush, it had a channeled lip to run over, and a pool to fall into on the floor. Around this waterfall, a scattered forest grew, and the golden light of morning shone down from the sky. The gentle rush of sound... the cool moving air and spray... finished the illusion of jutting mountain rock, falling water and musty scented alien forest... waking to a new day, still shrouded in mist. Due to the undercut in the mountainside, there was room to walk around the falling water... to thoroughly douse, without bumping into the wall, even with wings partly open. In a way, it was like stepping under a huge faucet, into a shallow sink... that drained through rockcracks, leaving no river behind....

And Roose had not failed to hear Jah's request to Vala... nor had he forgotten the collar. But, this was not the time or place, yet...

... "Yes, Vala..." Roose spoke, his own interest genuine... "I would be interested, as well... if you're comfortable speaking of it. Maybe we can all share a memory of our homelands, as we share water...."

Re: Inside GreenDay...
Vala looked to Jah at her request as Roose brought the waterfall to life. She thought a long moment before slipping into the water, immediately the cold liquid began to obviously slow her muscles, the heat the the sun being drawn out of her, but it felt so very familiar as she simply lay under the downpouring of water. "My home is...was, a very beautiful place. Mountains surrounded her great valleys. It was very cold there since the valleys were created from the movement of glaciers...I remember my older sister telling me, but it was still beautiful. The sun would reflect its light off the snow and we'd bath in rays...a volcano lay near our cave and nearly everyday my siblings and I would venture there and soak the heat of the heated sands and rub into it until our hides were smooth," she sighed softly, her great eyes glazing over in memory. She suddenly flinched and pawed the water absently. "Then the humans came..."

Re: Sharing Water...
Vala sighed deeply. "It was slow at first, farmers weren't a problem, they simply needed land for their animals and the volcano was incredibly fertile...for a time it was peaceful, for one hundred years...they did not know of us and we left them alone. That is until our parents fell," she growled, her claws unsheathing through she kept enough control not to dismantle the floor beneath her. "Hunters...mages, wizards...they all wish out hide for magic, the stones in our bodies for...amulets and staffs to increase their own magic. They had discovered our parents had mated and clutched...and that clutched had hatched before they were killed. My siblings and I were attacked...duue to being the smallest I did not leanr to fly as quickly as them and they fled, unable to carry me with them. The same mountains I had played and lived in as my home would soon be the place I would die."

She was silent a long time before continuing. "I hid in the caves for a decade before I could fly and I fled willingly. However...apparently I'm special. My diamonds are larger, more powerful, one is dark and one is light powering both sides of the spectrum. My hide is thinner and apparently easier to form into armor...and my heart is larger, holding more of the blood those magic usuers need for whatever they do," she spat as she continued to name off her organs or parts and listing what they were useful for from her head as a trophy, to her claws as daggers. It was only recently they caught up...father carrying on their mission to their sons and their sons carrying the mission to theirs...over twenty generations of the same hunters have been after me and only the most recent have wounded me so that I was grounded...my life for the passed three and a half centuries have been nothing but Hell."

Sharing Memories...
Like Jah, Roose listened, as his guests entered the pool, Vala telling her memory... then, he stepped into the water, himself, and... after making sure Vala and Jah were both settled comfortably... doused fur and scales, alike, under the waterfall. Afterwards, he looked very much like some strange drowned mutant rat... but he was happy and relaxed, if a little chilled by the sudden rush of cold water all over and down his body. Dripping wet, he settled into the water in a spot between both females, ears attentive and mind alertly tuned... even though he looked pitiful, with his fur all plastered down... water dripping from the end of his snout, as if his sinuses were draining from a serious cold....

And... he looked even more pitiful, his ears and seelers falling, his arms hugging his chest, the whites of his eyes showing for a moment...

... oh, yes!... just the thought of three and a half centuries of being hunted made his heart catch in his throat... and... and hearing what these generations of hunters wanted to do with her remains... horrendous, and greatly disrespectful of Life. But, in a deeper part of his Spirit, Roose understood that this pursuit of greed had also exacted a price on these hunters. Generation after generation, obsessed with death and destruction... their own lives wasted and empty... their Souls and Spirits, Tainted.

Roose quietly stood up, shuffled through the water to Vala's side... lifted her head up, and looked deeply into her eyes... his own Eye softly glowing, his own eyes wet with emotion. Without a word, he hugged her... not caring that he was naked, and she was female... that they were both wet. He just hugged her, trying to give some warmth to a life made cold by a terrible past....
Re: Sharing Memories...
Vala was starting to curl in on herself, the memories of her fleeing her home, HER home, tore her apart. She'd planned on finding a mate...having her own clutch if not one than multiple...she wished a family more then anything in the world. She didn't notice Roose had come towards her until the glow of his Eye got her attention and she turned her large eyes to him. When he hugged her a great shaking sigh fell from her as she leant into Rosoe, closing her eyes and willing the tears away. She turned to Jah, feeling her wingtip against her own and nodded at her words. "I could never close out such bright souls, my siblings, though they fled were very dear to me and I to them...however I am not upset that they left, but the light of your souls are as bright as the diamonds that cover their bodies, such brightness and wamrth...is something I welcomingly accept and it is I who should be honored with your friendship."

Past and Present...
In his own memories, Roose relived bits of his life... of his own past... remembered his family, his friends... and Chorri. Felt his own loneliness, remembering her... felt...

... Roose quickly retracted his feelers, a bit startled by the sudden sensation, but glad... in a way, and in this company... that his thoughts of Chorri hadn't gone too far and deep. Better to save such intimate thoughts for a time alone, when his body's reactions would remain private. He only hoped his guests hadn't noticed... and he wasn't sure if his feelers had brushed against Vala, as she spoke. He hoped not....
And he felt very awkward, at this moment....
Still, it made his heart pound... and Vala's words made him smile. Roose reluctantly ended his hug, ran his hands up her neck until he cupped her chin... and held her eyes with his...
He glanced briefly at Jah, concerned by her grim saddness... no words, just a look that spoke his mind... and, in its turning, included both females in his attention... "Never let your past Life, no matter how hard... ever taint your present Spirit. I am also honored to be thought a friend...."
Roose released Vala's chin, stepped back in the water, and bowed...
Re: Past and Present...
Vala nodded quietly to Roose and gently nuzzled him, her slender snout pressed against his forehead in what many would think a kiss before pulling her long neck back to look over him. She'd never met a creature with such a large heart, and she did not mean in the physical sense. He was terribly caring and affectionate which she found conforting and endearing. Sighing softly she began to finally relax in the cool water. "Though it will be hard to forget what has happened in the past, my friend, I promise I will not let it affect my future or how I plan to live it. I have many more centuries to live and if I can live in peace then I will be happy." Though the hopeful addition of a mate and a few dozen clutches didn't hurt the look on the future either.

Kissed...
Roose hadn't missed Jah's slow glance... and he certainly hadn't missed Vala's kiss, on his Eye. Even more awkward... as he tried very hard to control his physical reactions to such a contact, knowing Vala had no idea what her act meant to a 'Twill (especially to an unmated male... only Chorri had ever kissed him that way, on the day he'd left Home)... yes, her eyes on him made him feel incredibly awkward. He really did not want to give his friends a graphic lesson in 'Twill anatomy... he was already exposed enough, thank you! And... being soaking wet already left virtually nothing to the imagination....

Still, Vala's words... her promise... left Roose feeling warm in a different way. And... there was something else in the look in her eyes... in her pattern. Faint, but there. Almost like... like the look his mother had given him when he was very, very young... the eyes of a mother, thinking of her children's future...

... but, Roose knew full well Vala had no children, and no mate to give her such joys. In the flash of his thoughts... his past insight, last night, and in this moment... he'd seen deep into a lonely female Heart. And... he understood fully about loneliness. About... not only wanting... needing... the intimacy of a mate... but, also the offspring such intimacy brought into Life. The desire to be part of the Circle....

Roose cupped his muzzle in his hands, as he turned away, a finger stroking the base of his Eye. He remembered his lick to Jah's forehead... to the black opal stone there... and to Vala's diamond, last night, as she'd slept. That had been a gesture of affection for both, given to friends and family for comfort, or when parting ways, but... he could still feel Vala's much closer 'touch' to his Eye, could remember Chorri's lips touching the same spot... and leaving a promise behind. His heart pounded again... and his maleness felt very warm, despite the cold water.

It... yes... yes, he'd shown Vala much deep affection, yet her simple act of laying lips to his Eye made his memories of Chorri flare ever brighter... made... made his hormones flare in response, something his own past acts of affection towards these two females... and their own affections, returned... hadn't done before, so intently. Already, Roose felt like he'd known them for years... felt himself open, willing to expose his Spirit fully, to their own... as he had his body, to their sight...

... "Thank you... Vala...." Roose turned back, hands slipping from muzzle, eyes bright... "I'm glad to hear you say that...."
Re: Kissed...
Vala smiled softly to the two beings she felt were friends if not more. They had listened to her story and comforted her, she could feel their understanding and it made her feel light and relaxed, for once in many many decades. Settling into the water again she watched their body language before turning her eyes to their eyes and smiled. "I am the one who should be honored, honored that such creatures would see fit to bestow their love and friendship upon me..." She then turned her attention to Jah as she lay her head upon her submerged forelegs. "I do hope so, Jah...though I honestly think for a creature such as me...it is too much to ask..."

Friendship...
As Vala settled, relaxed in the water... Roose also settled. Part to cool and cover his overwarm maleness, part to listen, and watch both females in turn, studying their patterns as he listened. Jah's words... Vala's words... in the moments they were voiced, they ran through Roose's mind... touched his Heart... and he felt so very alive, in moments like these....

Amongst humans, and a number of other species, Roose had observed a hardness in the males... an unwillingness to express, to even feel, such emotions as he was feeling now. But... amongst 'Twill, male or female, feeling emotion's of love, affection... care, concern... joy, and sorrow... made life what it was... Living. Only the dead felt nothing... only the Tainted felt nothing but hate, anger, fear...

... and Roose, without the slightest doubt, was definitely male, down to his core... open and honest, expressive of his feelings. 'Twill senses didn't allow such things to remain hidden, so... no 'Twill, even the strongest males, ever thought of puting up barriers... yes, they could be diplomatic... but they could never be dishonest. It was not in the 'Twill Spirit to lie.

And... the closer a 'Twill felt to another, the more that other became Family... became part of a 'Twill's Soul. Like Chorri had... had captured his own Heart and Soul... her Spirit, his Spirit... One. And, when his time came to return home... so, too, would their bodies become One. And through becoming One, their Love and Trust would give them Parenthood... and they would grow old together, watching... as well as raising... their mutual future.

Family... Friendship... Trust, Love and Oneness... all linked through Life.

For a very brief few seconds, Roose touched something so Deep... so Profound... it made him shiver....

Yes, these were the moments he lived for...

... the moments so many others missed, because they did not look for them. And, though he could never be One with either of these females... like he could, would, with Chorri... they could still be Friends... even Family, in Spirit.

Roose turned his shiver into a shake, careful not to shower his guests with scattered waterspray. Of course, the still damp... now disheveled condition of his mane fur... didn't help his previous drowned rat appearance... much. Now, he looked like a drowned rat that had been whirled overhead on the end of a short rope....

And Vala's last words touched his ears... struck his Heart. He reached out, after sliding nearer, and caught her chin in both hands... lifted her head up from her submerged forelegs, and looked deeply into her eyes...

... "It is never too much to ask...." he said....
Re: Friendship...
(OOC: No, no I haven't forgotten, exams are killing me but it's almost over. I was just concerned about my signature below my name...Salvi is there but Vala is not...she was there before the hacker...)

Vala could not remember a night where she felt safe...all except the time where she was with her siblings, when he parents were still alive. She'd felt safe then, though after that, after her siblings fled and she was left to fend for herself against the humans...she'd never had any kind of peace and the peace she experienced now was terribly alein to her.

He large eyes were closed as he body once again began to relax, still a bit stiff in the areas she was once injured but grateful the gapping wounds were not present on her hide now. She shivered as she remembered the blood...the pain. She'd surprised herself with flying as far as she had before crashing to the ground exhausted, praying the humans had lost her as she trudged ahead.

She was taken from her thoughts at Roose's touch and she opened her self as he lifted her muzzle from her forelegs. She watched him quietly as he looked into her eyes then spoke. She blinked once...then again before smiling sadly...longingly. "True as it may be that...it may not be much to ask...however I'm afraid," she whispered softly before closing her eyes. Opening them again she looked into Roose's eyes, tears evident in her large optics. "I am afraid of the worldd I will birth them into...I do not wish for them to share my fate...no child deserves that..."

Family, and Children...
Jah was still present, Roose knew... but Vala had his full attention. Even doused in cold water, he could feel a renewed warmth touch his maleness...

... "Yet... doesn't a child deserve to be born?" Roose's seelers slicked back over his head, his ears twitched... nostrils flared... and his eyes held a very intense expression... of desires, of wishes, of hopes... of fears...

... "I'm also afraid. Wanting to be a parent... is quite different from being one. I love my Chorri... my Homeworld is a place of beauty, safety... and family. But... I am no less afraid of fatherhood. No less afraid... nervous... over what kind of father I will be... over what will happen to my children, as they grow."

Roose gently drew Vala's head closer to his chest... reached up, and carefully wiped at her tears...

... "You have a right to be afraid for your children... to be concerned over what world they will live in... what kind of mother you will be to them. And yet..."

... Roose bent his head... touched his Eye to her diamond, and sighed, his eyes closed...

... "And yet... how can you not risk giving Life to your children? Even if they share your fate... at least you gave them a chance, as any parent does... to know Life and Love. If my Homeworld was torn by war, I would still return to Chorri... make love to her, as much as I could... and cherish our offspring, no matter what...."
Brief Glimpse...
One level up, and one section farther aft... in GreenDay's core... the Prime Accumulator twitched and rippled, deep inside....

Roose, his Eye still in contact with Vala's diamond, his eyes just re-opened, as Jah spoke... through his physical link with GreenDay... felt that twitch and ripple, that familiar touch...

... and he noticed what Jah did not, and more....

Even though he did not look... did not draw Jah's attention by turning his head, nor by movement of his eyes... he knew the twinkle was there. Unlike his eyes, his seelers perceived in all directions at once. Yes, there was no mistaking the change in pattern, focused on the collar... on one particular jewel....

Roose, with a single thought... a rub of his tongue on the roof of his mouth, and on the backs of his front teeth... a swish of his tail in the water... calmed GreenDay's Heart....

Re: Family, and Children...
Vala was still scared...she still disagreed and slowly shok her head. "I do not wish to see them hurt, to have them hunted because their mother was an Alpha Omega Diamond Dragon and placed the curse on them. I am not strong...I cannot protect them, nor can I kill. I run, I do not fight...I cannot and will not take life no matter how they wish to end mine..." Tears sparkled in her eyes as she tucked her head against her long neck, her body trembling, cursing her own birth...though she did not blame her parents she blamed herself for being so weak and unable to kill as she knew her parents and sibling could easily perform such a task. Hearing Jah's voice Vala slowly turned her eyes to the beautiful female of the group and for a long moment after her offer Vala was silent, quietly watching her. "I..." she began then nodded, "if it would end the chasing...and allow me to...allow me to be fearful of my pursuers no more..." she left it at that, agreeing to Jah's offer.

Re: Family, and Children...
Vala gazed into Jah's eyes and without a moment's hesitation let her mind wrap around her most painful memory. Not one of recent but one of the past the repeatedly plagued her dreams and tore into her very soul.

Blue eyes gazed out at the hunters, the tiny thin shape of the dragonet trembling in terror as the quadraped beasts they called dogs sniffed and growled trying to find her scent, any dragon scent. Her sibling had left very recently, only a few days prior and now the hunters had come, they'd come to finish off the LAST of the dragons in these mountains now proclaimed their own. Vala did not wish to be there to be found and turned to flee. One of the dogs had been more attuned to sound and snapped his head around at her movements immediately taken off after the flightless dragonet. Horror raced through her mind as she crashed through the sparse trees that grew on the mountains, the baying of the other hounds reached her mind and she panicked racing for the cave. She was almost there...the mouth of the cave beckoned to her and just as she leapt for the welcoming darkness razor sharp teeth pierced into her tial and thre her body down to the ground. The others soon joined tearing at her hide as she screamed, squirmed, and kicked at the animals. Just as suddenly as they were on her they were off and the humans came, one grabbing her by the tail to admire the large black diamond there and immediately she snarled and lashed out at him but missed trrribly earning as sickening laugh from the male. "Pathetic little beast, but these will do nicely," he chuckled as they pinned her to the ground and she felt a knife at her tail, carving under the large diamond that gave her her species name. The pain was like having her very soul ripped out and she thrashed uselessly screames pouring from her mouth.

Vala shook violently and let out a pained, mourning sound so deep it caused the water to ripple, the pain still coursed through her body, never giving her peace for each time they's caught ehr they would do the same trying to remove the diamond. Another time while she slept they tied ehr down and proceeded to try and remove the white diamond on her head, nearly sending her mad with pain.

Times Remembered...
All Roose could do was listen and watch... wonder what Jah intended with her "solution", given GreenDay's reaction to the twinkle... the nature of the feedback, the evident pattern... and, yes, knowing what he knew about her, he kept GreenDay calm... would allow what she intended to happen, despite his ship's protest towards magic used within its bounds....

He'd already poured so much of his Heart out to Vala, and it saddened him... to still hear her fear... to pull away, as she shook her head... to release her, and see her tears again. He wanted to comfort her more, but... Jah approached, and needed space, to provide her own gift... through her magic. Yet, he still reached out to Vala... stroked her neck, as her head turned away... and her body trembled.

But... what Jah offered was more than Roose could give, at present... and Vala spoke, accepted the gift. It was Jah's time to provide comfort... to aid Vala in her need....

All Roose could do was be there for her, though he stood back as Jah came near... touched muzzle to muzzle with Vala, for a brief moment... spoke, and explained...

... yes, more deeply into memory....

Roose couldn't share what Vala and Jah were about to share, as he crouched deeper into the water, eyes on the two females... his arms... his hands... slowly submerged, folded in his lap, wrists lightly pressed against his maleness...

... and, yes... his own memories, going deep...

... * Chorri... that Autumn, before his wings grew... her, leaning against Hurro'Tau'ta's Prime Tree... the Great Boonwood, in the Meeting Center... wind in her fur, mane tossled by the gusts... shine-glints reflected off her scales, in the dappled golden sunlight of late afternoon... her airboard, also leaning against the Tree....

And him... half running, half walking... almost half floating in her direction... so surprised to see her there, and rendered speachless by the look in her eyes... by her... oh, yes!... by her striking beauty... her sass, to come unanounced at this time of day, so close to evening.

"Interested in getting wet?" she'd asked, smiling.

As if he'd ever miss an opportunity to airboard over to the lake for a skinnydip... with her. And... without anyone else knowing... oh, yes... she'd picked the perfect time, when everyone else would be busy preparing the sunset meal... and he'd stepped out for a breath of fresh air, to enjoy the wind again!

How he'd loved her even more, for all the surprises she'd given to him....

Her touch, her warmth... laughter, at his awful jokes... tears, at finding her favorite Phu'ta beetle, dead in the Churrit fields... the winter before. And... and her...

... her sense of wonder, looking up at the stars with him, snuggled together against the cold... together on the Great Boonwood's highest branch... even farther back in time, only a few months after they'd first met... expressing her wish, along with him, to explore those stars... someday.

Yes, to explore those stars.... *

.... But... Vala's emotional cry, so deep and hurt... shocked Roose out of his memories... and he found himself stroking her wing... standing under the spread of Jah's own wings, as the wake of her movement through the water sluiced around his legs and tail...

... and he moved closer, placed both hands on Vala's neck, with a slow, kneading pressure at her tension... listened... and understood Jah's words... looked towards her... felt... felt...

... so totally at ease.

So totally at ease, his wings relaxed... and unfurled, releasing a rainbow spray of color as the artificial sunlight struck the fine prismatic scales on their now-exposed undersides. Right now, Roose didn't care... it didn't matter if these two saw, not now. What... what he... felt... made this normally uncomfortable exposure... feel right.

But, knowing he would not be here... not be staying in Deep Forest for very long... made Jah's promise a comfort, to him... as well as Vala. He would do what he could, while he was here, yet... he could not make the same promise as Jah had just made....

All he could do was comfort, and aid her immediate needs... help her to find her own strength... to give her a direction towards the future...

... "Vala..." Roose said, his expression including both females... "For as long as I am here on your world, please... think of me as a Brother. Please... promise me... you'll accept whatever I can give... accept what I choose to share, to help you find a place... a future. And Jah... thank you for your own promise... think of me also as your Brother, in Spirit...."
