Voting and entries to the festival show/duels are closed and no longer accepted.
Thank you to all who voted, and everybody who submitted a character for an event or duel,
you'll be getting a message back as soon as possible with the info you'll need ^_^

You have 'till Sunday to submit votes and entries for the Festival duals and events.
After that I will no longer accept any and start to pick events and pair of dualists! This should
take about a week, then I will message all people who signed up to tell them what to expect and what to do.
So if you want to have your chars participate in anyway, you have 5 days left to tell me so, and if you
have any votes left for the awards, send them quicky! Your vote could still change the outcome (seriously,
lol, some categories could be thrown in a whole different direction with just one vote!)

And a big thank you to Shadowed Illusions and Silvertone Bluenote for the big help getting this done so quickly!
Also, we have a tie in several of the categories for the awards at the upcoming Festival celebration!
Please vote (even if you don't have a name for all categories) so we can break this tie and start the party!
Next, I'll be putting UV offline for (hopefully) a few minutes to update the board to the newest phpBB version.
If it takes too long for UV to get back online...something went wrong See you soon!

The forest has faced many enemies, fought many battles. The plague
weakened us all. But now these horrors are all behind us. The Hivemind is
defeated, Nightal has fallen and the plague is finally over! The forest has
reason to rejoice!

Hence the ruling unicorns invite you all to

The Deep Forest Celebration Festival!

There will be food, there will be celebration! And you will get a unique chance to
show off your skills in events and performances to amuse us all. Be a star for one night!
Not only that, there will be contests and awards handed out to reward some of those that has
done so much for this forest.

Soon the party will begin at the Forest Village!

~ March 24th '07 ~
The festival will begin in a couple of weeks, so if you have a duel or event
that will take place during the celebrations, then make sure you ask questions and plan
things ahead of time with your dueling partner! That way the RP will be able to
flow along smoothly ^_^ Once the Festival starts we won't stop till we run out of booze!
(More specific starting date for the Festival still to come.)

The character lists have finally been updated!
If your character hadn't been added yet after acceptance, then please check to see if they
are on the lists now (and whether the info and link is correct ^_~), thanks.

Private messages have been sent out to the people who signed up for
a duel or event for the Deep Forest Festival celebration. Please check the info sent to you
if you are one of those people, and message me back with any questions that you may have.
The people who signed up for a duel should contact their dueling partner as soon as possible
to start plotting..eh, I mean planning of course ^_~
Soon the festival will start for real! (An announcement will be made in advance about it, so
you'll know when it will begin, and won't miss out on the start of it ^_^)

~ April 11th '07 ~
The Deep Forest Celebration Festival will start this weekend!
This Saturday (the 14th) the Festival will start in the Hidden Visions Reflected forum, so be sure
to keep an eye on it and join in on the fun when it starts ^_^ Some of the things to look forwards
to are the awards being given out to the characters you voted for, duels of all kinds between
characters, special shows for your entertainment, and a chance to meet a lot of characters
living in Deep Forest ^_^ Everybody is invited! (even unaccepted chars at the Edge still ^_~)
Oh, and Blackback wants to remind you that there will be beverages and refreshments!

You can find this all under §7 in the Roleplay Rules in the Rules, Rank and Info forum.
Please read this and make sure you follow it, as we will be actively enforcing

No worries, just taking down the board for some quick updates.
UV should be back up in 10 to 15 minutes.
UPDATE: UV is obviously back up
Some new updates have been added to hopefully keep out all those spammers!
If you notice something wrong with UV because of these new updates, please let me know.
Also, don't forget to vote for UV by clicking that pretty button below the birthdays!

If you had trouble getting on UV the last two hours...it wasn't just you.
There were some behind the scenes problems with the forum that cut UV off from the database.
It's all fixed now though, and won't ever happen again, so yay for that!! And sorry for any scares!
And all bow down to Darthy for figuring out where the problem was in the first place...!

Due to real life issues some people had to drop out of their assigned duels.
This means we have some gaps and thus openings for new people to fill. You've seen two of
the duels already, if you would like one of your characters to participate in one of the
others still scheduled to come, then please send a private message to Gaeva with the
character name you'd like to enter, and some possible advantages and disadvantages,
so we'll know what kind of duel to place them in, thanks ^_^

I just purged our member list and have removed hundreds of accounts.
Mostly they were advertisers, spammers, or just people who left after just a few posts.
Also all the accounts created in May or earlier, yet have not made a single post since then, have been
removed as well. While this still doesn't give an accurate number of current active members, it does
show the total of active members in UV's whole past ^_^ Now this should all have gone perfectly, but
in case I did make a mistake (like delete your account >.>) then please send me a PM or email, thanks.

We needed an update here, because it's starting to give the wrong impression
Hope everybody had a nice relaxed vacation and is ready for some new RPing!
And yeah, I know I personally am still having some trouble getting back to posting myself
I have updated the banner, thank you Griatch for pointing it out. And the birthdays are up to date
as well again, thank you Sithy for pointing that one out ^_~
The festival is still going on, though it slowed down during summer vacation. I'd like to point out/remind
people that once the Festival is over the season in the normal RP forums will move to winter time.

First of all, sorry for my continued absence, I didn't realize it was so long already!
Second, the Festival will be coming back to life now, so we can finally wrap it up.
There's still a few contests that need to be announced, and don't forget the <a>OOC contest</a> either!
After we wrap up the Festival, all normal RP threads will be moved to the archive,
and the season will shift to the cold months of winter time! New opportunities for RP fun ^_^

The character lists in the Inhabitants forum have been updated at last!
Please check your characters, and whether the description, name and link are accurate.
Also, as of now I will no longer be adding a "detailed" description for every character in these lists.
It takes more time to do this for every character, and as the links in the list already take you straight
to the profile, as well as the links we now have in our custom titles, it simply isn't needed. However,
because it does look nice to have a quick glance at who or what a character is in the lists, I have made
a new thread to request short descriptions, which you can write out yourself. Or not, whatever you want.
This thread has been placed in the new forum "Requests", which has a few more threads like it, so check it out ^_^
I have also added the voting button back to the forum for now, and added a link to the main site.

The Festival is about to end, so get your last posts in these coming days.
Also, wrap up all RPs in the normal RP forums, because next week (probably Thursday) we'll be switching
to the next season! At last! All RP threads will be moved to the archives to make way for new RP in
the winter season in Deep Forest. A small time jump of maybe a week or two will be made then.

We're doing mass Reapers here to see who is still active and who is not.
Don't freak out because you got a Reaper, because <i>everybody</i> got one this time! Well, everybody
with a character in the character lists that is. The message you received should explain it all nicely,
but in short: if you wish to continue to RP then make a reply to your char's joining thread in the
Reaper forum, and if you no longer wish to RP then please let me know as well ^_^ I'm closing the
Reaper forum two weeks from now! Also, the OOC Festival contest has now been closed! Congrats to
FoxDragon who won the contest with this image! ^_^

Winter has come to Deep Forest!
For the ones who have been here a while, you know what this means.
For the ones who haven't RPed during a winter season here at UV yet, or simply never
seen a switch to the next season, let me explain: We have moved on to the next
season, winter. You can say that we made a little time jump a couple of weeks
into the future. You can read the winter description for the forest above.
In Deep Forest the winters are a bit odd, because Gaeva and Geaven's presence
keep certain areas completely devoid from the harsh weather, and thus snow and ice.
You can see these effects on the Deep Forest map (made by Griatch), which has
replaced the regular map for this season. All RP threads have been moved, as warned,
to their respective archives, leaving the forest clean and ready for new RPs in this
cold season! Joining threads will not be moved, as they exist outside of the timeline.
I hope you have fun, and if there are questions, just go to the Away forum ^_^

Two weeks have passed so the Reaper forum has been closed once more. ***
The character lists have been updated to reflect this, so they now show the actual number
of characters being RPed around UV. People who did not save their chars from being Reapered will
have to rejoin them at the Edge if they wish to use them again in the future.

In the dark there are whispers

In the light of day Deep Forest has become a peaceful place once more, but if you listen in the shadows you can hear them. The whispers of dark beginnings, enemies spreading on all sides. Dark creatures have appeared within Deep Forest... there was no warning this time, no words spoken of what is to come. The 5th Deep Forest Plot has begun, but who's side have you chosen?

We have a contest up and running for the creatively inclined to enter! The contest is split into a writing and "visual" section, so there's a little bit for everybody,

As a result of <a>this</a> thread (read it if you haven't, thank you to the ones who already posted!),
the rules have gotten a make over. Please read them, and give any comments you have on them in the thread mentioned, thanks ^_^
