He circled a few more times around her listening carefully to what she said. Apparently, he had been misunderstood as to what he ment by claiming this territory as his own.

Rolling to the side he flew away from her head toward two mountains that were not the largest in the chain but far from the smallest. Dark clouds rolled in suddenly and unnaturally. Lightning struck the two mountains' tops as the old Red circled them. Neither of them possessed perches that would be large enough for her, he knew this.
Borealis watched impassionately as the Old REd circled two peaks much too small for her, claiming them for his own. She nodded her giant head.

"You may have them, Psrdar. They don't offer much to me anyway. I will avoid tunneling through them. They are yours."

She did not belabour the matter, but set her sights on the largest peaks, noting where the carving could begin when she reached it.

"The Keep shall be remade....the stones carved....the Fortress built better this time," she rumbled to herself, quite outloud. "This land has fewer 'quakes. It should do."

She started to beat her wings, creating a down draft that threw rocks and dirt around, rising further into the sky, higher and higher, until even she was made a speck from the distance. She inhaled deeply of the harsh frigid air of the high altitude, before snapping her tail in a whiplash and folding a wing.

She rolled in the air with a grace and beauty that belied her size and mass, oriented herself to those semi-distant peaks and dove.

Watching Borealis in a stoop is both beautiful and terrifying. When she hits the higher speeds, the wind starts to scream, a shrill piercing howl as it is forced around her spikes and horns, and it is accompanined by the whistle of air through her three rows of teeth.

She swept in a wide circle around Psrdars two peaks, respect for his now claimed space, and trimmed that circle to narrow in around the largest peak. She scanned the surface of rock and crag, and deemed it satisfactory for her home, at which point she swept in for a landing, coming in slow. She flared her wings up, and spilled air from them, like parachutes, until her feet impacted the mountain and her heavy claws and spikes dug in.

She folded her wings and turned, to scan all the lands below and afar. This was exceptional. She could see everything, which is how a dragon liked it, no matter the breed or the age. Her keen eyes could see the Old Grey in his lair, and Psrdar by his two peaks, and a flock of birds and the gleaming river. Her hearing plates thrummed to the sound of rising vibrations.

It was then that she filled her great lungs and loosed forth a pillar of flame that could be seen for miles around, accompanying it with a roar unheard by this land until now. It was the marking of territory, the adivisement and dire warning that this was her place and none shall contest her for it, or woe betide them.

Had the sound been aimed at the mountains, it would have brought them down. As it was, though, it echoed and reverbrated until it rang in the ears of all that had them, and traveled out over the wastelands in a rolling thunder.

When the sound faded after many minutes, she opened and closed her mouth, producing a loud crack of teeth, before snorting. Residual flame gushed from her nostrils, and she turned her ever predatory gaze on the caves at the base of the mountains, some distance away.

She tilted her head. More dragon lairs? Neh, care she did not. They were too small and too close to the ground anyway.

She crouched on her peak, the others nearly all but forgotten, running through millions of years of experience.

Where to begin?

No matter what the Red one tried to suggest to the old female, Ebb had no intentions to join up with the other two. Apart from the Hivemind herself and now this Borealis, he had never met anyone his physical superior, and so far only the Hivemind had proven capable of matching his wisdom. He needed no help from these two. If anything, he needed help against these two. This opened interesting possibilities that required consideration.

He certainly had no interest in mating -- despite all being called dragons, Grey where still far enough away from modern races of dragons so as to not be able to breed. This, and their extreme aminosity towards other Grey where in fact the main reasons of their decline.

He recognized that this 'Borealis', as she had presented herself as, where someone one would prefer to keep non-hostile. And had Ebb thought smooth words where useful and would gain him favours with her in the future, he would have used them without second thought or sense of pride. As it was, he was content to sink back into the darkness of his lair, observing the giant as she began settling in, seeing the red take the scraps that was given him. Out of eon-long habit the Grey began analyzing the information collected about this new creature. No living being was truly invincible. Should Borealis ever become hostile to him, Ebb wanted to have a trumph card. And given enough time, one of his brain lobes would eventually find that, he knew. Ebb had patience. A lot of it.

Calm fell over Ebb's fortress as he coldly observed the other two dragon's actions for as long as they remained in sight.
@belarusgryphon05: Good luck with your giant. Giving the restrictions of the UV rules, playing a massive creature can be very, very challenging roleplaying-wise. But interesting!
@Psrdar: I'm wrapping this up on my behalf, (I suppose the Red will begin settling in anyway and don't want a grumpy Grey ruining his day. ) So I'm dropping out of here. (That's why I've adjusted her attitude to the "go blow it out your arse" kind. I think it's the most fun to play. If she had wanted to take over she would have, but as it is she despises living low on the ground, which is why the mountains are so convienient. On we go. -Oh, and I was trying to approximate her size, and came up with some three hundred feet, but don't believe it, cause I think she's even bigger than that. I just have poor math skills.)

Borealis watched the Old Grey withdraw back into his lair, and noted somewhere way back in her ancient old brain to keep an eye on him when he was emerged. The Greys were canny old beasts, and even though they lived like any other animal, they were highly analytical. There might yet be dispute.

As it was, this perch was perfect, but needed adjustment. She ripped some spires of rock down to create a wider space to swing her tail. When she was on the ground she had a four legged gait like any other four limbed beast that was sensible, and standing well over three hundred feet at the shoulder had a way of cowing potential enemies.

She tipped her head to the side, examining two larger spires on either side of her. These would do later perhaps. She turned around on the ledge, and noted the Red further off.
