The links above are the best way I could give a description...There are really so many details it would be very difficult for me to describe and create the correct image in the readers' minds. I'm just going to take and describe some key characteristics now.

His scales have dulled greatly over his long life, though, still obvious that he is a red. Psrdar's eyes are bright, molten orbs filled with life and knowledge and a sinister glare--they look as though they would burn you if you touched them. He is capable of stopping their glow for stalking around in the dark, etc. A scar exist over his right eye, but there is no damage to the eye its self...there are nicks and scars upon his snout...as well various scars exist here and there upon the rest of his large body and wings. He is much larger than that scale picture shows of the red in the third link...many years have gone by through which he has grown slowly...so I would say about one and a two three times that dragon's size. I think that about covers his appearance, hope I didn't confuse any one.

Personality: From the look of his body and the gleam in his eye one can tell he is very knowledgeable. Psrdar, infact loves to plot things out from time to time, however, if you ask of him to think something up for you--which will have to be repaid--it would be wise to ask for it within your life time; he sees nothing wrong with thinking something through for centuries before actually acting upon it. He can be rather sadistic most of the time, as well as extremely heartless/emotionless. It would seem that would be intentional for his knowledge of feelings, etc. is vast as anything else. He speaks when he is ready to, ignores whom he will, and tends to do as he pleases. The red is very protective of his hoards of treasure and enjoys barter from time to time. I wouldn't recommend trying to sell him short...

Abilities: His thick scales are a natural armor which absorbs most physical attacks. He can breath fire. Extremely acute senses. Incredible strength, naturally. Blindsense (allows him to see things without literally seeing them...allows him to fly in dense fog, etc. without running into mountains and the such.) Has knowledge of many a type of powerful magic, he can cast spells or even use magic through his shear will alone.

Family: None

History: Every so many millennia, Psrdar, changes territories growing bored with the land or the inhabitants he allows, or those who come around unwelcome. Well that time has rolled around again. So he flies from place to place, known to make more than one trip around the world, waiting centuries to make a decision and choose the best area for his territory. This time however his reason for looking is a bit different, the time was quickened. He had taken a mate who'd struck his fancy. Though, he keeps no emotions and has a heart which has more than likely melted away leaving an empty cavity; he still enjoys to breed with the opposite sex from time to time...as well help add to the Red Dragon populations. His mate was slain by another male whom was attempting to force the old bull from his land. Annoyed he slew the rival male and left anyway just to make his death even more meaningless.

Anything else we need to know about you: Psrdar is immune to fire and mind affecting attacks, magic etc.; doesn't feel the effects of excessive hot and cold.

A few lines IC (In Character) of your character entering the Forest:
Perching upon the one of the mountain peaks the Red looked out upon the forest below him. His molten orbs immediately locked onto a large hill which was obviously the home for another dragon. Inhaling deeply he picked up no scent...the wind wasn't caring even a drop his way. Stretching out his enormous leathery wings he crouched then leapt high into the air, beating his wings. Catching the current of air easily he soared down and around the fortress...sniffing the air picking up strong hints of another large male. Circling a few more times he picked up the scent of dragons coming from a cavernous entrance, he soared by it finding it odd so many dragons in one area...turning he flew back to the large rocky cliff he had been perched on and settled onto his belly. Folding his wings and curling his tail round, Psrdar lowered his head upon the rocks and closed his eyes. He was bored with searching any further apparently he would have to make do with living round others. For now he would just wait to see if this other bull would come to investigate the fiery scent the red gave off from his flight. Slowly he drifted into a restful state still very aware of his surroundings.

Ebb came in the wes, catching the scent of dragon as he dropped down through the cloud cover. It was not too unusual, given the amount of dragons holed up in the caves to the east. But they generally took the long way around his lair. He remembered the foolish young female dragon who had set down to rest on his hill. Ebb had let her off eventually, but at a dear price. Noone had approached his lair ever since. Yet here was a scent passing close to his lair.

As the old dragon approached his lair, the source of the scent became clear -- on a rocky cliff some way into the forest from his fortress sat a large red creature. It's scent circled his fortress. Ebb set down on his hill. So heavy was he that he had to land running. Parts of the hillslope was already worn down to gravel from him digging in his claws when landing. Eventually he came to a rest. Locking down parts of his armour, the dragon watched the red one cautiously where it sat perched. It better stay over there. Ebb had no interest in visitors.
Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
ooc: Yes, I am aware...I figured that could make this real interesting...Since they are both so old and large...containing countless centuries of knowledge etc....

I noticed that a couple commas had snuck in on two of the url's...all three worked for me after I fixed that...Let me know how it fairs for you now...

Ic:

The Red's molten orbs opened as he heard the sound of flight in the distance. Sure enough it was the other male; he watched silently unmoving as the bull landed and came to rest on his hill. Interesting, he had not seen a Greater Grey in over a hundred millennia. What were the chances he would be meeting one so old in an over populated place such as this? Slowly, he lifted his head and turned is snout to face him--both eyes now able to see him clearly. Psrdar could feel the Grey's eyes upon him and had the feeling he wasn't looking to having visitors. Which was too bad, for he was about to have one.

Easily, the ancient rose stretching his muscles and wings. His dull red scales giving off no shimmer at all--an important cue to him being extremely old. Parting his large jaws and inhaling, he let loose are loud, deep roar of greeting that echoed across the lands. There wasn't a creature in the entire area that wouldn't have been able to hear it. It was odd for him to show any respect but he knew this fellow dragon was old and knowledgeable--just like himself. Leaping from the cliff wings spread, his colossal form caught air and glided down to the fortress. Sweeping up steeply and flapping his wings--which spanned a much greater distance than his body--he brought himself to land easily enough. Due to his immense size which seemed to even be greater than this Grey before him, one would not expect him to have such grace; however, he flew enough in his span to practice his manuverability.

Folding his massive wings, Psrdar looked quietly upon the male infront of him. He was violating the territory bounds of this one, which mattered little to him. Besides he was gonna try to make this as easy as possible. The Red was more than ready to buy the knowledge he seeked rather than waist time with a battle of wits.

"Tellll mee Grrreaterrrr Grrrreyy yourrr knowledge of thisss land...Isss thisss entirrrre forrresssst and mountain range yourrrrs?" His voice was deep and emotionless to ensure no confusion of his mood.

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
Ebb reared as the red one approached. Unlike other dragon races, a grey didn't have scales. Rather, it was covered with thick bone-like patches of armour all over, like a tilework of grey constantly shifting and moving. Now that armour writhed and shifted before finally coming to rest in a locked-down position. The pale surface of Ebb's grinning skeletal-like head seemed to move like a giant mosaic as he adjusted the head armour to sense all he could about the intruder.

It was a dragon old of age, so much was clear - it's movements where calculated, precise, sending off a calculated impression of controlled strength. As Ebb's senses shifted over the spectrum, one of his six brain lobes processed the heat information of the other one's body.

To Ebb, this was a dragon of the younger races - because to him, "young" had nothing to do with age in years, but with the age of the species. The Grey where of what he called the "old ones". Grey where dinosaurs among dragons, a dying 'membrance of a lost age. The younger dragon races - they could fly easily, flap their wings and lift straight up. Some of them wielded immense magical powers. They had ... emotions, they where rash and the world was theirs to the taking.

Ebb had and was none of those things, and didn't want it either. His kind was born in another age. Unlike the races who came after, his kind was bound by the mundande laws of the world -- he needed both flying gas and a running start to fly, and even then his weight made him little more than a hang glider. Had his head sensory apparatus not been as advanced as it was, he would not even had been capable of pronouncing human language with that three-meter tongue of his. His kind was a dying race. When Ebb and others of his kind finallylet their bones fall to the ground, the Grey would be extinct.

Now, on the hill, Ebb dug his claws into the stone. Because what capabilities the Grey lacked in the air, it regained on the ground, as one of the fiercest land predators in existance. This meant that Ebb had unusually long legs for a dragon, making him look more of a panther in shape. His weight, so hindering in the air, was there for a reason - that weight was namely of the massive muscles keeping his lean but enormous form moving. So in a sense, it was an eighteen feet high panther that was now facing down the red intruder on the top of Ebb's Fortress.

To another dragon, Ebb used his tongue, for once speaking the old language of the dragontongue. "This is the lair of Ebb." the Grey said. His voice was neutral but sounding similar to someone dragging a heavy chain over flagstones. "I have no quarrel with you, red-old-one-of-younger-races. But Ebb will not tolerate intrusion by you, or any creature. If you know of the Grey, then you must know that much. Had you been a Grey, either of us would already have lost our life.
... So keep your distance, lest Ebb will end this conversation."

Despite the dragon's fearsome appearance, there was no threat in that voice - it was just a statement of fact. If the Red knew his lore, he would know that this was a creature known to use the same tone of voice in a conversation as in a battle to the death.

---------------
OOC: Sorry for the long text, but Ebb has a rather strange way of talking, so I thought I'd better explain a few things. Besides, if Psrdar is so old and has met Grey before, he would likely know these things... This could be interesting.

(Is this thread over? If not, you guys should mosey on over and check out my "new" companion-in-conversation. She's awesome. And I think it'd make things rather more interesting. Maybe if Ebb started chasing the Red off...you guys have got to meet her....*wriggles in excitement* She's so cool! Oh, look for the joining thread of the Gigantic Dragon. You'll love it!)

(Hmm, It's a good thing I noticed this thread. Is it still going? I think it would be good for Borealis to meet the local populous, if that's all right. I can bring her over if that works with you. I'm offering Red a ride anyway. Let's see if he takes it.)

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
The Red knew a fight would come if he didn't back off the grey's territory. That was not the purpose of his unwelcomed visiting...and he knew on the ground in a physical battle he would more than likely lose to this Greater Grey. If he wanted the information he was after he would have to play nicely, though as much as he loathed it, there wasn't much other choice. So easily he began to back down the hill, enormous muscles rippling under dull scales of red.

"I did not meeeean to intrrrude, I ssshow resssspect to you Ebb--a thing I give not lightly," came his thunderous voice in the same tongue the Grey had spoke, showing his vast knowledge.

Psrdar ceased to move once he had reached the bottom of the fortress. His gleaming eyes not once leaving the other dragon. Smoke rolled forth from his nostrils high into the sky, his body working like the furnace it was.
Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
Ebb didn't relax as the Red one backed off, but he also didn't follow it so as to attack it. He realized not even his blue-scorching flame weapon would harm this walking furnace, so the oxygen intakes on the sides of his skull slowly closed and sealed.

"This lair is mine" Ebb repeated, continuing: "and my territory stretches the horizon. You are not Grey, so your territory does not concern me. " Ebb gave the red one a long stare before adding: "It would be in both of our interests that it will continue to not concern me."

In the rather curious old dialect of dragontongue Ebb used he had just made 'politely' clear to the red that he didn't care what Psardar did as long as he stayed as far away from Ebb as possible -- 'politely' after Grey standards, at least.

"Of cccourrssse," replied the red as he bowed his head with a wicked grin.

His Mind raced with the possibilites of what the Grey had said. More or less though the only others who concerned him were fellows of his species which were not gonna be present more than likely...Which left the land to the Red's torment, and will. He didn't like to make assumptions but the chances of there being a dragon larger than him and the other bull, Ebb, were highly unlikely.
Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
Psrdars assumption was highly incorrect.

High above a dragon of immense size and age flew, very closely resembling a flying mountain, as the color and texture of her scales resembled rock and stone. She flew so high that ice formed a thin rime on her wing edges, slightly tattered from ages old battles, a remnant of her smaller past form.

She sang out in her huge booming voice, not deep in her throat but full and out of her mouth, telling other dragons that she was near and approaching, on her way to the mountains, and a future home.

She sang out in the Old Tongue of the wyverns/dragons, a language so old some of the younger wyrms might not understand it, because most of the old wyvern kind (particularily all but her in her species) were dead. And since she was not aware, at the moment, of any dragon that could claim to be over three hundred million years old (compressed neatly into one hundred thousand greatly extended dragon years), she was pretty sure she would be using a lot of the Universal tongue.

Her shadow passed over a smallish clearing in the forest below, a clearing that did not have the particular size that would make her comfortable, but would house many much smaller beasts. Her wing membranes and the thinner hearing plates on her body vibrated slightly to the rough rolling sound of dragon voices.

This needed investigating.

She wheeled overhead, and descended in a slow spiral. Her shadow now covered the bare scorched earth of the clearing, a very obvious dragon lair, where she she recognized two dragons, a Red and a Greater Grey, standing apart. Tension was thick. Most likely a territorial dispute, judging by the posture of the Grey, but it had not yet come to blows, so she knew that there was a deeper meaning to this.

Well, they couldn't possibly miss her, now that she had blocked the sun. She might as well converse, however briefly, with these two, before heading on her way.

As there was no comfortable place to land, she kept circling, her great clear, colorless eyes watching all that was below. She let her voice recede back into her throat, so that the sub-bass quality of it would not damage hearing, and spoke in the Old Tongue, her voice a combination of very low thunder, an earthquake of immense scale, and the powerful sound of a pitched down avalache of rock.

"Here I see is a local and a newcomer." A great wind of intensely sulphurous breath wafted down. "Do we have here a dispute, or a light conversation? Perhaps an Old Grey would know a little about the territory, and about what is going on in it? Do please inform another."

Names could come later. After so many years, it wasn't likely to matter anyway.

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
Ebb's head flicked upward as the shadow fell on them. Just as he had so many times shadowed creatures in this forest, so he himself was now shadowed.

It was an enormous dragon, big as the mountain containing his lair. It was unusual for Ebb to encounter something bigger than himself, but nevertheless he reacted accordingly: Ebb cautiously backed into his lair, letting the stone act as an extra shield in case this intruder decided to try to dive down to attack. If that looked cowardly he couldn't care less. Ebb had no scruples or pride. Such notions he was simply unable to understand. And besides, he did not back up because of fear. The ancient dragon only did what was nessecary: This dragon was bigger -- much bigger. Its pure size demanded caution. Ebb understood this and accepted it without emotion, reacting accordingly.

The Grey angled and shifted its armour once again, directing its sensory organs onto the massive shape above. Ebb's vision flashed over the spectrum as he analyzed the creature impassionately. Its armour was immensely thick, but yet the Grey could faintly make out the patterns of heat from the bulky muscles below, hear the distinct thud-thud of at least two separate hearts the size of his head. In the sulphurous breath he smelled the feromones of the other. It semmed to be a female. In fact, Ebb concluded, It was a normal dragon in most ways. It was just very, very old and thus very large.

Angling his head upward, Ebb calmly replied to the massive creature:
"What happens in these lands, beyond the move of my prey and the run of the river does not concern me, Great-dragon-like-mountain. I am Grey. The events going on in this world is no more than of fleeting interest to me."

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
Borealis tipped her head slightly at the Greys response. It seemed typical for his kind, who were quite impassionate and lived like any other wild beast, similar to herself, though she tended a little more toward culture of sorts.

She raised and thrust her wings downward for a little more altitude. She wasn't much of a hoverer, and needed to keep moving at all times when in the air. She had slowly been sinking toward the ground, and she boosted the mixture of gases in the massive chambers that ran the full length of her body. She felt the strain on her wings lessen as she became more bouyant.

She returned to the conversation.

"Surely though you have not missed the goings on in your own territory, have you? Strange beasts lurk, and not the regular sort of prey or predator. Perhaps there is something more to this place? Does the Old Red know, as new as he is here as I? I wish to know, then be on my way. I seek only knowledge of this place."

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
The question he asked of the grey nolonger mattered, as the large, nay, mountainous dragon flew over head, eclipsing the sun. It was a knew experience for the Red, as well, to be shadowed by another. Such aroused his curriousity, he couldn't careless if the beast decided to attack. There were ways in his knowledge of magick of getting out of such. A voice came forth, breath spewed over them, sulfurous something close to his own. A female...interesting. He had never heard of nor seen a dragon of such calliber. This was to be investigated.

His wings unfolded and began to beat hard as he crouched low tensing his muscles, then he bursted up, high into the air. The wind took hold and he instantly began to climb in altitude. Thick black smoke flowed from his nostrils, leaving a trail behind him. She made him seem small. It was like flying by Everest. Psrdar circled round and flew underneath the tip of her tail. He was taking deep breaths allowing her sent to fill his many sensors with in his cavaties. The distance which separated them was greatly short, mere inches. It showed off his skill and perhaps even hers. Making his way toward the tip of her snout, he flew up fast, brushing the edge of her jaws , his sent flowing to her nostils without a doubt. None of this was accidently, the Red knew what he was doing. He knew sheltering yourself would be nearly pointless against her, though, even if it had he wouldn't do it. The elder red possessed no fear. He was being very bold, this female could more than likely slaw him on a whim.

"The Grrrey carrrressss of none ssssave forrr otherrrr grrreysss," came the rolling thunder known has his voice. "And I have yet to make my lairrrr. I call thissss terrritorrry my own, and sssshall rrremove otherrrs of my ssspeccciesss of drrragonn...I will not be fool harrrdy to challenge thee, female."

"I think it matterrrsss little of otherrrrsss I've seeeen no eeevidenccce thussss farrrr to sssshow of any drrragonsss who could challenge ussss thrrrreee. A name you have?"

He could tell she was very old, extremely old, dwarfed his age by far. Evil as he was, he was not a fool, tangling with the Greater Grey was a possibility...Tangling with this dragon was in the realm of stupidity.

Re: Psrdar-rothmosoe
As the Red flew around her face, the great ancient dragon took in his scent through cavernous nostrils. She could care less that he was still circling her head when he responded, because any show of bad behavior would illicit being impaled on one of her great curling horns.

She thrust her wings down again, getting higher, which would allow her to float back down in a very slow spiral, her flight controlled by the precise movements of wings muscles, the twitch of a digit, the stretching of the thick heavy membrane. She flicked her huge tail, and the finned tip stretched out to the full, compensating for the constant circling, which she began to enjoy as a stretching of muscles.

She half lidded her colorless eyes as she considered the words of the Red. Mmm, claiming all territory as his own? That would not be possible, as she needed extensive territory herself, but she simply knew that anything challenging her would be foolish, nay, stupid and senseless. She lived in mountains, carving out great lofty fortresses of stone, and though she has not had to bother with defending territory for a very long time, she could still be riled to the point of attack.

But an alliance between three dragons?

Interesting concept. One she would not usually even think about, but having a beast at claw that knew the place, perhaps if something needed doing....the great ridges above the eyes lowered, shadowing the orbs, scales shifting over eachother with a scraping sound. Being so old she was used to long periods of thinking to herself.

She would, of course, draw the line with the Old Red. The mountains (or at least, their deepest inner cores and whatever fine perches she decided on) were hers, whether he liked that or not, and she would very simply make her point if he objected. Being so huge, with such immensely thick scaling, she was naturally unaffected by magic. In fact magical attacks, though seldom used upon her, only irritated her, as useless and pointless as throwing pebbles at a charging bear, likely to get you killed.

But there was also the mate issue. Here were two males within reach, the first time in thousands of years that this has happened. She did not believe in luck or fortune, but considered this a possibility, at any rate. At least there would be a choice if ever she was to breed again.

She rumbled in her chest. "You are very bold, Old Red. But I claim any underground reaches of the mountains as my own, and any perches that I deem suitable for myself. You may fight it out with the Old Grey for everything else. -Many call me Borealis. Call me as you will."

She ended this statement with a heavy thunder.
