Nataku/Kazuki

The forest was an easy place to keep to yourself, silently pondering, planning and concieving. The light eluded his mind as he stepped through the foilage of the trees above, his sharp iron feet grinding into the soft ground with each step he took forward. The undead knight kept his eyes on the path ahead, sometimes glancing up to the tops of the trees to watch more leaves fall down around him, there was a soft, almost chiling, breeze moving out from the mountains, brushing against his armor and although he had lost the feeling, he knew it was there. 
 
But his solitude ended with the silent sound of movement, through the trees. Alturiak slipped his hand to his blade and gripped tightly, sweeping around the closest tree and moving a few paces forward to get a closer look ...

OOC: I remember these/this guys! Heehee, it's a great chara, well-made. I'd join, but it seems you guys are allready underway, plus I'm in lotsa other joining threads... So yea... Just thought I'd pay yea a compliment.

Ooc: ok mine is kindof two characters in one, hard to explain, you’ll see. oh and I know my titles shows that I have two characters, but I thought I had them deleted when I had to leave the site a while ago, so I will get right on that ^_^ 
 
Name: Nataku/Kazuki 
 
Species: elf 
 
Gender: both males 
 
Evil/Good: Nataku is good, Kazuki is evil 
 
Age: Nataku is 13 
Kazuki’s age is unknown, but when he takes over Nataku’s body, he appears to be around 18 or so 
 
Mature Adult at Age: 18 
 
Appearance: (they both look the same, but Kazuki just looks older) 
Nataku is a small boy, about average height for a human his age and is quite thin. He has light skin that never seems to tan nomatter how long he is in the sun and he has a rather frail look about him. He has light, white blond hair cut in a boy’s fashion in our world but with a few longer stray bands. His eyes are a deep gold with an innocent look to them and he looks like the 13 year old that he is with a slightly round face that is just starting to sharpen into his adult features. On his forehead are three maroon oval markings and he has the typical pointed ears of every elf. 
He wears a gray/purple tunic with a tight turtleneck and that buttons on the left side of his chest like a Japanese or Chinese shirt. The tunic goes down to his knees, is sleeveless, and has gold cloth trim around the edges and from the button down. Under that Nataku wears a light gray long-sleeved shirt and pants of the same color that stops a bit above the ankle. He doesn’t wear boots, but cloth slippers with hard leather bottoms that can stand a lot of travel before wearing thin. 
He wears a delicate talisman around his neck that looks like a hawks eye. The talisman is gold and amber, but is rarely seen since he wears it under his clothes. The talisman is the reason for the split personality and possession that he faces. 
 
Kazuki looks the same as Nataku, but older. He is taller, around 6ft 4 or so inches, and is more lean and muscular. His face is thinner, with none of the childish roundness, and his eyes look crueler.

Personality: Nataku- Nataku is the innocent boy every parent wishes they had. He is very kind hearted and wouldn’t hurt a fly even if it attacked him. He values life and it hurts his spirit every time he see someone killed, even if they are evil. In his mind, everyone can change, so he’d help an evil person, hoping they would change their ways, before doing anything to hard them. Nataku’d never even think about doing something wrong whether it be stealing something or just telling a lie; his parents always taught him that those things were wrong. The only time he would ever tell a lie would be when it was absolutely necessary. He is a very timid and quiet elf who isn’t very good at talking to others but who likes to be around others. He likes having friends and is a pretty trusting person, which unfortunately, makes him rather gullible at times. Nataku likes to help others, but would never stand up for himself if someone or something was bothering him. 
 
The only person he does fight is his other half. He knows exactly what Kazuki does when he is in control of their body and tries to fight his other half off and keep control (though he is no where near as strong as Kazuki). He absolutely hates what Kazuki does, since it all tends to be violent or wrong. It breaks his spirit a bit every time he sees his other self kill someone and Nataku has cried over the things Kazuki has done many times. So, he does whatever he can to try to remain in control; fighting when Kazuki is in control and trying to stay away and alert as long as he can when he is. 
 
Kazuki- Kazuki is the complete opposite of his younger, much more innocent half. He is wild and dangerous and does whatever the hell he wants, when he wants, no matter the pain he causes or the consequences. The more pain and havoc he can create, the more fun he has and he really couldn’t care less who gets hurt whenever he does something. He is cruel and loves to fight and hurt others. Some may think he is crazy, and he very well may be; the look in his eyes when he is fighting certainly suggests it. He is manipulative and cunning and the only person he is looking out for is himself. 
 
Kazuki loves torturing Nataku with the things he does. It gives him just about as much joy to sense the boy’s pain as it does to cause actual physical harm to another creature. He knows how much his actions hurt his other half and he uses it to weaken the boy a bit more every day. He likes to stay in control and if he had it his way, he would be in control all the time, so anything he can do to make it harder for the boy to fight him, he will do. 
 
Magical Abilities: Kazuki and Nataku both have their own magical ability. Since they are complete opposites in themselves, their powers are opposites as well. Nataku can create and control ice while Kazuki can create and control fire. Nataku’s magic has an emphasis on defense while Kazuki’s has an emphasis on offense, especially since he prefers fighting to defending. 
 
Physical Abilites: Nataku is not that strong a person. He never was and will probably never been a good fighter. However, both he and Kazuki can jump high, a bit higher than one story. Eventhough Kazuki doesn’t have bulging muscles or anything, he is rather strong and a very good fighter. 
 
Family: family is dead and neither has close friends 
 
History: Nataku was a normal elf until he ‘met’ Kazuki, who had a bit of magic, but not much and the bit he had he was not in completely control of yet. He was the only child to two elves who held a plantation outside the capital of a large kingdom a few weeks travel from the Deep Forest. He grew up helping his family until one day when he was 10. A large group of men from a near by kingdom stormed the capital, running through their farm on the way there. The men were barbarians who cared nothing about the innocents that got in their way. Their master was heartless and cruel, so he found men who mirrored him. The men tore through their home, killing Nataku’s father and mother and taking him with them. Nataku was knocked unconscious during the remainder of the attack on the capital city, so he didn’t know anything until the battle was over. 
 
Nataku awoke to find himself in one of the camps. He was surprised to find that he wasn’t the only one that had been taken. There were other children in the camp as well, all varying in age, though the fright in their eyes and faces were all the same. As it turned out, the men were so barbaric, few if any women would join them, so the only way they were able to keep their number up was to take the children of the people they attacked, turning them into barbarians themselves. Nataku, along with the others, were put to work, though luckily the men did not look at them as anything but children that would turn into them. 
 
Nataku had only worked there for a few months when something happened. He still isn’t sure what happened, but one night he found himself getting out of his bed and walking across the camp. He seemed to be in a trance and couldn’t control what he was doing. The boy soon found himself outside one of the captain’s tents. Before he knew what he was doing, he pulled the flap aside and walked in, moving with a stealth skill he didn’t know he had. Something was drawing him over to a box setting on top of a small table in the man’s tent. He walked over to it and opened it to find a hawkeye talisman inside. Still in a trance where he could do nothing to stop himself, Nataku reached in and took the talisman. That was the last time he was alone in his head and body. 
 
The captain happened to wake up at that time, very angry at the fact that the child was in his tent and was holding one of the magical items he had gotten. He lunged at Nataku, but the boy was already running away. The captain got a few of his men to go with him to chase the elf. The boy ran into the forest, getting completely lost, though the men were chasing him easily. They finally cornered him against a large tree and were close to punishing him, if not killing him, when the necklace actually seemed to leap from his hand around his neck. The next thing Nataku knew, he was in the back of his mind and watching though his eyes like a guest instead of the ruler of his body. Another presence was in there, one stronger, older and crueler. The presence told Nataku his name- Kazuki- right before it took over his body. For some reason, when Kazuki took over his body, Nataku’s body grew to that of an 18 year old (along with his clothes,lol). Kazuki laughed evilly at the look of shock that appeared on all the men right before he threw flames at them, burning them alive. 
 
Kazuki then left the camp and set out…somewhere. He had no real destination in mind. It wasn’t until after a few hours, when Kazuki was tired, that Nataku was able to overcome the spirit and take his body back. His body shrunk to the way it used to be, but the spirit still remained in his mind, though now pushed to the back like Nataku had been. Nataku sat down and tried to pull the necklace off, but it wouldn’t come off. Kazuki then told him how he used to be a dark mage who was placed in confinement into the necklace 100 years ago. When Nataku asked why he had chosen him of all people, Kazuki told him it was because he was weaker than the rest in the camp and would fight less against his control. 
After that, the…two I guess you could say, wandered around. Both fought for control at all times, so whenever one tired, the other was usually able to take over, unless he didn’t want to, which happened occasionally. 
 
Anything else we need to know about you: Their minds can speak directly to each other, pretty much like hearing voices in your head and whoever is not in control can see through the body’s eyes to see what is happening. 
 
A few lines IC (In Character) of your character entering the Forest: Nataku put a hand over his mouth to cover up a yawn as he walked toward yet another forest. His arms fell heavily to his side and his steps seemed to be dragging a bit as he wore out the last of his energy. The young lad rubbed his eyes with his knuckles before looking around for signs of others. Unfortunately, he didn’t see anyone or anything in the area, which could be a good or a bad sign, depending on who lived there. If he happened to have wandered into dangerous territory, which had happened before, not meeting the inhabitants would be a good thing. But he really hoped that wasn’t the case and that there might be others here who might help him. He was so tired and his stomach kept growing, reminding him how long ago it had been that he had eaten. 
 
As he continued toward the trees, the elf could feel the constant annoyance of his other half in the back of his mind, trying to come to the surface to take control. Kazuki was using Nataku’s exhaustion against him, like he always did. But he was going to hold on for as long as he could, like always, to try to save himself and others a bit of pain if he could. Come on, you’re tired, let me take the reigns for a bit Kazuki coaxed, his voice practically purring in the back of Nataku’s mind. The boy shook his head violently. 
 
“No. You aren’t a good person. You make me do things…I don’t want to do,” Nataku said aloud, his higher voice showing that he hadn’t completely hit puberty yet. 
 
The spirit in him snort and Nataku could practically picture his other self crossing his arms over his chest in irritation. Fine. But admit it, you are tired; I’ll be able to take over soon anyway. ‘Bout half a candlemark, maybe a fourth actually, give or take a few minutes, if I am any judge on your exhaustion level, which I should be by now. You are so boring, I swear, you never do anything when you are in control. You’re always so quiet, really it’s disgusting. Your magic is a match for mine, there is so much you could do if you’d just stop being an idiot and do something, Kazuki said, his tone bored and annoyed.

“Just…leave me alone,” Nataku mumbled as he sighed and looked around as he fought to keep his eyes open. How he wished for a house and a bed to sleep in, but obviously there weren’t any of those around. He was just so tired of having to sit and sleep on the cold hard ground. It always made him sore in the morning, not to mention chilled and dirty. But there was nothing he could do about that. He and Kazuki didn’t have anywhere to go so their only option was traveling, and Nataku tried to avoid staying in a place with other people for too long, just incase his other half tried to cause havoc. Which, I might add, would empty up some houses for you to stay in, Kazuki pointed out, saying the last part in a singsong voice as Nataku sighed and shook his head. 
 
The young elf looked around again before walking up to the closest tree and sitting down under it, wrapping his arms around his knees as he pulled them up to his chest. His eyes wandered toward the forest beside them. “I wonder if anything is inside there…” he said quietly. Most likely. It doesn’t feel like a normal forest, Kazuki commented, the gleeful note in his voice at the thought of more creatures to fight and torment sending shivers up Nataku's spine. “Huh? What do you mean?” You are an elf, don’t tell me you can’t feel when there are other magical creatures around. Nataku could feel his other half rolling his eyes and blushed. 
 
“Well…I-I…” he stammered as he tried to protest, but failed to come up with a good reason. It wasn’t his fault he wasn’t completely in tuned with his natural elven abilities. The young elf suddenly looked up and turned his head left and right. He wasn’t sure, but he thought he just heard something. “Uh…hello?” he called out as he scrambled to his feet.

Nataku fidgeted nervously as he waited for whatever was out there to respond. D-did I imagine that? Am I talking to thin air here? the young elf wondered as he looked around. Was he just imagining the sounds he had heard? Who knows, Kazuki responded with a mental smirk, the arrogent tone in his voice telling Nataku that the spirit knew whether there was something out there or not, but didnt seem to feel he should tell. The elf really hated it when he did that; it made him feel even more confused and alone. 
 
"Yet another creature wanders into the trees of the Deep Forest. What purpose do you bring to this land?" 
 
The elf gave out a startled squeak- that made Kazuki laugh causing him to blush- and jumped away from the tree he had been standing beside. The voice had come from the other side of it, how had the thing gotten that close to him without him realizing it was that close? Who was it, what was it? Nataku wished he knew what the thing looked like, but he was not curious enough to peek around the tree. If whatever it was didnt want to be seen, trying to get a look at it might not be a smart idea. 
 
"I-I...uh...I'm just...well I mean I dont r-really...have a purpose here. I'm a traveler, this just happens to be where I am," Nataku stammered.

Nataku wasnt sure if the creaking, which probably meant whoever was on the other side of the tree was wearing armor, was a good thing or a bad thing. The creature sounded like it might be a guard for the area, he was questioning his intent here and everything, which should mean that as long as Nataku didnt mean the area harm, he should be alright. However, if the creature wasnt a guard, but was a fighter of some sort, he might pick a fight just because he could. The elf had seen many fighters during his travels who loved picking fights with those smaller and weaker than them. 
 
Oh what the hell are you worrying about? I may not really care when people smack you around a little bit, but I'm not about to let you get killed. I dont know what would happen to me if that happened, Kazuki said. "Glad to know you care," Nataku said with a sigh. 
 
"Tides of darkness seep through these lands ... Bad times have come to the forest ... Perhaps you too have brought something to these lands .." 
 
"Uh well...I dont mean any harm to this place," Nataku said as he bit on his bottom lip slightly. Well what he said was partially honest. He didnt mean this area any harm, his other half on the other hand... Is very interested in what things are going on here. We're staying here for a bit to find out. The stern tone to the comment let Nataku know that he had no say in the matter. 
"Uh...who are you?" Nataku asked.

Well look at Mr. high and mighty. I'd have to say. If I was a wimpy squirt like you, I might be worried Kazuki chuckled as the hidden speaker finally chose to show himself. The spirit actually sounded a bit impressed with the way the guy looked, even if the armor was rather beaten up, and that was saying something. Though he was hiding from a kid. Dont know if that's saying much. Oh wouldnt that be classic. Big strong guy scared of a midgit like you who's scared of his own shadow. 
"Shut up I am not," Nataku said weakly, looking down as the mage inside him continued to insult him. 
 
"I am Alturiak Imperia and you?" 
 
The elf looked up at Alturiak and gulped. Kazuki might find the creature's armor to be interesting, but he found it to be very intimidating. Maybe I should let...no I cant let Kazuki take over, even if I am scared, he thought. You realize of course that he can kick your ass in an instant right? Kazuki pointed out as he fought more against the boy for control, causing Nataku to weaken more and his eye lids to droop a bit. 
 
"I-I'm Nataku, nice to...meet you," he said quietly as he took an involuntary step back. And the countdown for your last few moments in control begins, Kazuki piped in with an excited giggle. He wanted to meet this armored guy personally.

Nataku looked up at Alturiak, his eyes widened as his heart began to beat faster and it took all of his control not to continue to back up. As much as he liked to think that if the creature planned on hurting him it would have done so already, there was no way for him to know that. He knew he shouldnt judge the guy simply by his looks, but it was very hard. Nataku's gaze followed Alturiak's movements and he shivered as a chill seemed to seep into him causing goosebumps to form on his skin. The elf reached up and rubbed his arms in an attempt to warm himself up. 
 
"I-I-I'm just...just tired," Nataku lied as he looked down. My god, stop shaking like a scared mouse, sheesh you're embarrassing. Man I am beginning to wonder if I should have just taken one of the stronger boys. Sure they would have been harder to fight for control but you are just pathetic, Kazuki complained, causing Nataku to blush furiously. 
 
"Most that arrive from those far lands are either running from something, or looking for something ..." 
 
Nataku didnt answer for a second, not sure what to say. "W-well I..." he faltered. He guessed if he had to pick one of those, running from something would be more like his life than him trying to find something. He was running, from everything and everyone, including himself, but he couldnt tell this creature that. "I guess..." The elf stopped again, but not in hesitation this time. Time's up, Kazuki said with a mental smirk as Nataku's eyes widened in realization. 
 
"Oh no..." Nataku breathed before he was suddenly engulfed in flames. The fire didnt hurt him and once it disappeared another moment later, it was not the young elf that stood in the small charred circle. The creature that was now there looked very similar to Nataku, but older, taller and far less innocent. 
 
"Aww 'bout time. God I hate bein' stuck inside that kid, but I'm free now," Kazuki said as he stretched his arms over his head before turning to Alturiak with a smirk.

Kazuki crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back against one of the trees as he watched the other creature's reaction to his sudden change. Though Alturiak didnt react nearly as funny as most did, which disappointed the spirit quite a bit, Kazuki could still see the thing's hand tighten on the sword and was it just him or was he farther from the elf than he had been a moment before? The mage chuckled. Surely the big tough guy wasnt nervous little old him now. 
 
"Where i come from, creatures who are trapped within the body of another are the complete opposite to their host bodies ..." 
 
Kazuki stepped away from the tree and began circling Alturiak. As he passed behind the knight, he created a ball of flames in his hand that he then let snake around his arm as he watched the other's expression. So many creatures seemed to fear fire, he wondered if this one did. "You know I've heard that too, but I think it's just silly. I'm just like my other half, dont you think so?" he asked with a wide smirk as he leaned forward, very close to the warrior, not caring if he was invading Alturiak's personal space. Stop it Kazuki. He didnt do anything to us, Nataku pleaded in the back of his mind.

Kazuki kept his expression cool as he waited for the creature's response, however his eyes did flicker briefly to the sword as Alturiak moved it to his shoulder. While he could block a lot of magic with his flames, unfortunately his fire could do nothing against a sword expect make it hot. If Alturiak swung at him and Kazuki tried to use his magic to block, it just wouldnt work; the blade would just go right through the flames. Now, Nataku could use his power to block the attack, but the boy was not in control right now and Kazuki didnt plan on giving up his control; he could easily fight the guy if he decided to attack, he would just have to move out of the sword's path. 
 
"You dont even have to say another word .. I can already see you. Do you wish to die .. Elf?" 
 
The elf didnt back down as Alturiak leaned forward, shortening the space between them to a few mere inches. At the knight's words, Kazuki put on a mock pout. "Aw, now I'm not that bad. Shame on you for judging a book by it's cover, didnt your mommy ever teach you better?" he asked as Nataku snorted in the back of his mind. He's judging you really well. I'm glad. Atleast this guy wont be caught off guard... What you think that that will save him? Kazuki thought back with a mental laugh as he smirked up at the large knight. 
 
"Though for some reason my other half seems to agree with you," he said before leaning forward even more. "I would very much love to see you try to kill me. Of course it wont happen, but atleast you'll give me a few moments of entertainment, if you can survive even that long, which is rather doubtful. Kazuki raised an eyebrow as he listened before shaking his head. Man I hate the way knights talk. The whole high and mighty noblish talk, sheesh just speak simple english you loons, he thought with chuckle. Were they trying to prove something by speaking like that? Seriously who else started conversations with "I am from an honored race?" "Uh...right," he responded, before smirking at Alturiak's next comment. He could do that too, but he didnt want people thinking he was crazy now. 
 
"Oh come now, why would I want to kill you? Killing is so...boring. Now torturing, that is a fun passtime, you should try it some time," Kazuki said as he started walking toward the knight. Kazuki stop. Dont! He didnt do anything and what if you lose? Nataku thought. The mage chuckled as he felt the young elf's unease. "Oh I am just going to hurt him a little, dont worry," he said as he grinned evily at Alturiak. "I think I am going to like it here, if everyone is as entertaining as you are," Kazuki said before shooting a blast of flames at the knight, just as a little test.

Now lets see what this guy is made of, Kazuki thought as he watched the flames heading toward the knight. He was using this to judge the knight's speed if he dodged or his abilities if he tried to block the fire. Unfortunately, he didnt get to witness either. The elf arched an eyebrow toward his hairline as Alturiak stayed where he was and let the blast hit him head on. "What the hell was that?" he asked in confusion as he got a good look at the holes that were now in both the armor and the knight. "Ok you realize you are supposed to try not to get hit right?" 
 
"Oh well, I guess you just wont be as fun an opponent as I thought you would be. That's really not fair, you got my hopes up and everything. Well mom always told me life wasnt fair," Kazuki said with a mock sigh as Alturiak approached him. Kazuki, that's enough, dont hurt him more, please, Nataku whimpered in the back of his mind as he looked at the injured knight through the mage's eyes. 
 
Why do you care about him? You were practically shaking in fright of him when you were in control. I'm doing this for you, Kazuki responded with a sickeningly sweet 'innocent' voice that made Nataku shiver again. The young elf was very thankful that the two of them only had to meet in their minds. If something ever changed and they met physically, Nataku did not even want to think about what Kazuki would do to him; he knew very well what the guy was capable of. W-well he w-wasnt doing it purposely... Oh...oops, Kazuki chuckled as he watched the knight coming ever closer. 
 
"Ohhhh looks like you have some more fight in you, thank god, I was getting worried there for a second," Kazuki said with a smirk before throwing two balls of flames at the knight. This will be over very soon, he thought.

Kazuki crossed his arms over his chest again and leaned against the tree behind him as he watched his fireballs soar through the air toward the knight. Unless the guy was really fast, or decided to dodge instead of fight- which the mage didnt see him doing- it was unlikely that he would be able to fight off both of them. So I'll be hearing cries of pain any moment now, he thought, his smirk widening as he felt Nataku shrink back in his mind, probably trying not to watch and listen. 
 
"What does this not give you the same joy it gives me?" Kazuki asked his other half with a chuckle. There was one thing he liked almost as much as killing and that was torturing his other half, which was surprisingly easy. The kid was too soft for his own good. All Kazuki had to do was start to hurt others and the elf would start crying in the back of his mind asking him to stop. It was a real pity he couldnt actually meet his other half other than just mind to mind. Though he had an idea that might make that possible, however now was not the time to think about that. 
 
Kazuki watched Alturiak as the creature cut through one of the fireballs and wasnt surprised to see the second one hit just like he thought it would. Uh...Kazuki... Nataku said uncertainly as he took a quick glimpse through the mage's eyes. The mage didnt need his other half's little comment to realize what the elf had just realized. He mentally cursed as he caught sight Alturiak's skull through the hole in his armor. The thing was dead already, how the hell was he supposed to kill it?! 
 
"Is flame magic all you can hold?" 
 
For the first time, Kazuki actually grew angry and a bit nervous as he looked at the creature that now stood but a few feet from him, practically unharmed by his magic. His eyes narrowed and his lip curled up in a small snarl before he jumped to the side to put more distance between them. "Well I can see now how you were able to handle my attacks. But you forget, even bones can get hurt by fire if the heat is high enough," he pointed out before motioning the knight to come at him.

Kazuki's eyes burned with rage. How dare that thing laugh at him? The knight would be bowing before him if he had the power he possessed before he was trapped inside the necklace. The mage had killed thousands then and he would have been able to kill this creature without blinking an eye. How dare Alturiak laugh at him? Well he would soon see that nobody laughed at Kazuki... Kazuki look out! Nataku shouted in his mind as the knight jumped into the air, his feet flying toward the elf's shoulders. 
 
"Dont talk to me right now!" Kazuki snapped angrilly. He could tell this was going to take all of his attention, he couldnt have the little twerp distracting him. The mage cursed as he dove to the side, stumbling gracelessly into another tree. With a growl, he spun around, his fists enveloped in flames as he prepared another attack on the knight. "You'll have to be quicker than that," he spat. 
 
ooc: dont worry, he will get hurt in this fight ^_^

Kazuki cursed as Alturiak slammed into the ground where the elf had been standing. If he hadnt moved, he would definately be sporting multiple broken bones. Damnit, how do I beat him? For my flames to really effect him, he would have to be in them for a while and I doubt he is going to oblige me and stand there while I engulf him in flames, he thought as his eyes narrowed angrilly. Thankfully, Nataku was being silent in the back of his mind, allowing him to think without interruptions. As much as the young elf wished for Kazuki to die, he was still scared of dying himself; he didnt want to end up distracting him and getting them both killed. 
 
The mage watched the knight closely and tensed when the thing started moving toward him again. Crap I have to think of something! I really need to get a sword or something after this. I've never encountered someone who wasnt effected by my fire. Well lets try this... Kazuki put his hand out in front of him and threw a burst of flames toward Alturiak's head, hoping to blind him- or atleast make it so he couldnt see him for a second- as he dove around to the other side of the tree, hoping to give himself a bit more time to think of something. 
 
Damn, I dont want to, but if I cant think of something I might have to... As if reading the mage's thoughts- which he probably did- Nataku interrupted. Kazuki dont! Y-you cant. He'll kill me.. the young elf protested, his voice shaking a bit at the thought of what Kazuki planned. Actually you'll have a higher chance of surviving than I will.

Kazuki cursed loudly as the knight's blade cut his arm as he dove away. He stumbled behind the tree and his lip curled up in a snarl when he looked down at his arm. The sword hadnt hit the bone, but had done quite a number on him anyway. It had sliced easily through skin, muscles and veins, leaving his arm a bloody mess. Damn him...but I've had worse, I'll survive, the mage thought as he tried to ignore the pain and listen for what his opponent was going to do next. 
 
As he strained his ears, Kazuki heard Alturiak's comment about tearing him apart and smirked. It seemed he was getting a bit on the guy's nerves. Poor baby... he thought before he was suddenly cut off by the blade slicing through the tree behind him, stopping just short of hitting him. Kazuki felt a drop of sweat run down the side of his face as he looked at the sword that was embedded in the tree just a few inches from his neck. "That was too close..." he muttered to himself. 
 
"You don't seem as overconfident elf .. what happened?" 
 
Kazuki glared at Alturiak, his eyes blazing with rage. He had never faced an opponent like this before, he didnt know what to do. The thing was dead already, the flames wouldnt effect him unless he remained in them long enough for them to burn the bones he was made of, but the elf rather doubted that he would oblige him and just stand there while he was burn to a crisp. Kazuki had always been able to defeat enemies before with his magic so he had never needed another weapon so he had nothing else to fight the knight with. 
 
Damnit, I cant believe I am going to do this... he thought, face burning at the thought of how humiliating this was going to be. Kazuki what are you...? Nataku started to ask before the mage placed his hand on the tree behind him. A moment later the tree practically exploded into flames. Hoping it would distract the knight for even just a moment, Kazuki turned and bolted. This isnt over... I will find another way to kill him later and I will find a way to make it nice and slow....
