Tiana had been coasting over her new home. Oh to be free and flying into the wind! It was a beautiful place. As she flew the tips of her white wings skimmed over the treetops of her home. The small vine that was around her neck flapped only a small amount in the wind. As she coasted over the treetops, she saw below her a curious metal creature. Strange, she thought sharpening her Sight to get a better look, it seems its a metal dog... Coasting downward, she landed lightly in the trees to one side of the newcomer, so as to examine him before approaching.

Runerouge heard a noise coming from a tree above him, he looked up and saw a strange flying horse land on a tree. it must take some agility for a horse to land on a tree. The metal dog barked matallically at the flying-horse-thing. Runerouge did have the ability to talk, but the thing might be unaccustomed to talking dogs, better stick to barking, for now.

Tiana looked down from her perch at the metal dog. So much for examining before approaching. She swooped down and landed silently in front of the metallic...thing that was making such a racket. "Hello, newcomer," she said from a fair 8 feet away, "What are you here for?" She folded her wings and sharpened her Sight again.

The wolf was again suprised at the flying horse's agility. there must be some very... interesting creatures in this forest if this flying horse was any example. 
 
"I am searching for runes, which were cast here by an evil magician. these runes have the power to give me new abilities and make me more powerful." 
 
Said Runerouge is response to the flying horse's question. 
 
"The name given to me is runerouge, may i inquire what your name is... and what you are?"

Name: Runerouge 
 
Species: Metal Golem 
 
Gender: N/A 
 
Evil/Good: Good 
 
Age: Has been animated for only a few years, but this does not affect how he acts. 
 
Mature Adult at Age: Always, or never, depends on how you look at it. 
 
Appearance: Resemles a dog, but of course made of metal. a very odd species of golem indeed. his whole body is covered with spots for runes of power to be placed, and were they there, the dog would look like quite a spakling canine. Unfortunately, only one jewel on the middle of the golem's back is present, the one that gives him life. 
 
Personality: Runerouge is noble, and will always help a freind in need. Though he a a desperate desire for runes to increase his power and give him abilities. He does have emotions, contrary to what one might think about a not-exactly-living golem. 
 
Abilities: As of now, none, because runes give him his powers and he only has one rune right now, the rune that gives him 'life'. However, being a golem and not exactly living, mind-affecting spells or life-draining spells and the sort do not affect him. 
 
Family: Being a golem, Runerouge has no biological mother or father. The magician who created him could be considered his father. 
 
History: A self-absorbed magician had the bright idea of creating a golem to obey all of his commands and to be, essentially, his servant. The magician collected metals, mostly steel, and set about animateing them to serve his purpose. However, the magician made the horrible mistake of giving the golem emotions. The first chance the golem got to escape from the magician, he did, and he took the runes that the magician had intended to put into him with him. However, he was stopped on his escape from the mountain where the magician resided by a dragon, who was after the runes that the golem carried. The golem was forced the give the dragon what he wanted, but as the dragon flew away, a blast from the mountain that the golem had been fleeing hit the dragon. And the runes were transported, indubitably to the most inconvieneint places for Runerouge to get to, indubitably into the forest that lay ahed.

The golem/dog had been trotting toward the forest for quite a while. but finnaly he had reached theforest where he believed the runes that would give him power were hidden by the magician who created him. Hopefully, the creatures of this forest would accept him, he would hate to have to force his way in.

Tiana fought to keep down a smile, and succeeded, barely. Runerouge had obviously never seen a pegasus before. 
"I am Tiana," she said, "and I am a pegasus." She exad the new wolf carefully now. The stone on his back sparkled and she could see spells for life carved into the gem. "So, you are looking for runes?" continued Tiana, "Why would they be cast here?"

"The runes would be cast here because the evil magician who created them doesn't want me to have them. And he cant cast them back toward himself, because then i could retrace my steps back to him and get them, and he would also be in danger of being captured by me. Because i would most certainly capture him and force him to never use his magic again. So, not being able to protect them himself, he would most likely hide them in here, where he would hope that i wouldent find them" 
 
said Runerouge, hoping that the pegasus could follow all that. 
 
"does that make sense?"

Tiana listened as the strange creature relayed his story. A magician? Of course! He was one of those...those....er mother had told her of them. Golems of course! But a magician? Cast runes into the woods? It seemed a strange thing to her, "Yes," said Tiana in reply to Runerouge's question, "Most of it, anyway"

"Yes, more than you could count" said Tiana, wondering, where exactly HAD this golem come from. "Didn't they have animals back where you came from?"

"In the mountains where i was created there were many animals... normal ones... no flying hors- uh... i mean pegasuses"

Tiana looked at Runerouge, "No," she said simply, "I have not been here long, you'd have to ask someone else..." Tiana looked around the clearing, wondering why no one had noticed the newcomer yet...
