Asking Questions and Getting Answers (Cal and Magician)

Yumi had indeed reached the river after his encounter with a wolf demon and a darv, which he was still nervous about. Thoughts such as 'what if they followed me?' flowed through his head. 
 
He drank slowly from the icey water of the river, washing his face and hands as he did so. He was still looking for Daemon, but he was also waiting for a new angel named Chaz, who was supposedly traveling with Squiji, the confused racoon. He had lost them on the way from the edge of the woods to the river, so he sped ahead and decided to meet them there. He hoped Squiji knew the way, and could lead Chaz, but he wasn't sure. 
 
He touched his silver necklace, tracing the fine chain down the the cross-shaped pendant. It was silver, outlined with gold, and had a small, brilliant crystal in the middle. Touching it always comforted him, and he didn't know why. 
 
It was, of course, because his mother saved him with it, sacrificed herself, put her love, her very soul into it. Her soul resided in that crystal, hence why it shown brightly, like a star in the night. 
 
After he was done drinking, he waited for Chaz, hoping he would show up. He had some questions to ask him.

Chaz and Squiji finally reached the River after a few minuets of being lost."See Squiji, I told you I knew where we were if only you woul have let me fly up."Chaz almost bumped into Yumi. "Hello Yumi."He said. He sat by the River and gestured for Yumi to sit down next to him."How many questions do you want to ask me?"
