A Jouney To Find The Inner Truth

I hope you don't mind me replying in here ^_^ 
 
I liked this, Cor Videre is a good guy, perfect for the mysterious wise man. Those two foals are actually kind of freaky with their wise words. Kind of like those kids from the Village of the Damned. Unless of course they've simply been spying and just trying to sounds smart now, in which case they are simply brats <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p"> 
I wish Lep had spend more time with her parents, her mother seemed nice.

Okay, I know, lame title. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tired.gif ALT="|I"> Oh well. Here's a tell of Lepidus-Malus, and you will get to meet Cor Videre, the old See-er. There's a small bit about her parents and the meeting of two new foals in her old herd by the names of Luno and Stella. So read on and enjoy. Sorry for the misspellings, for I'm sure there's alot of them. <img src=http://vgh.homestead.com/files/llsweatdrop.gif ALT=":sweatdrop"> I think I'll use spell check this time. *mumbles something about another half hour's work* <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> lol. ......wow, that did take about an half hour......

A dark figure flew against the light of the moon. The shape was of a small grey bat, with a white streak down her back and two miscolored eyes, one fiery red and the other blue like a calm summer sky. Her wings beat against the air. She panted hard. "Another...night. Just...a little...farter," she thought in her head. She had been flying for almost three days straight. 
 
On her second day, she got to the clearing where she last saw her family. But they had left by then. She went to where she had last sleeped, last seen her brother, and rested. When she woke up, she shifted into a wolf and got their trail. She had alternated forms, trying to find them. 
 
She suddenly saw a flash of white from the trees beneath her. Could it be? She flew down towards it with hope. She had already had one false alarm that day. But it didn't matter, she had to find them, had to get answers. 
 
She landed infront of the white beast. Her blue eyes looked into her's. She smiled as her eyes whent to her sliver horn. "Mom," she breathed softly. The mare looked at her suspiously, then whinnied. "Lep! Oh, my little baby." 
 
Lep transformed into normal form. The white mare grined at the sight of her child's striped face, her mixed eyes. "Your home again." She nuzzled Lep gently and the striped one tapped her horn against the older's, a sign of happy welcome with the herd. 
 
"Come, come and I'll take you to the herd." "Thank you...mother." She was surprised that her mother didn't sense it. She was usually so well at seeing though her child. How could she break it to her? How could she tell her about her change of heart? She would later. 
 
She reconized the meadow her mother took her too. She had been there once when she was just a little baby with the herd. She remebered how Obitus and her had found a secret cave, and their other made up games. She didn't see how much she had missed this place. 
 
A large black stallion troted up to her. Lep lowered her head, then he nuzzled her. She tapped her horn against his. "Welcome back, Lepidus-Malus." "I've missed you, father." 
 
She gave a soft yawn, sleepy from her trip. "I see you're tried. Go on and find a place to sleep. We're still be here in the morining." Lep nodded and turned away from them. 
 
She didn't know where her feet was taking her till she got there. It was the bed where she had sleept in when her and her brother were babies. She lied down there and slowly began to fall into a deep sleep.

The striped unicorn slowly opened her eyes. It was still morning, though the sun had started to rise along time ago. She blinked her eyes and noticed two foals before her. Both were black, with white socks, tails, and mane, and had golden hooves and horns. The only difference was that one had light blue eyes and the other deep purple. 
 
Though she didn't like having the two suddenly show up, she covered it up. "Hello, young ones. I don't recall seeing you before." "Hi," started the blue eyed one, "I'm Luno." "And I'm Stella," added the purple eyed one. 
 
She could instantly tell they were siblings, as well as a little about themselves. Luno was standing up, flicking his silkly tail while his sister was lieing down and had not moved her eyes from her. This made Lep uncomfortable. 
 
"Do enighter of you know where I might find Cor Videre?" she asked the two. Luno shook his head. "He left last night. But he'll be back soon, don't worry." This wasn't very good news to her. 
 
She tilted her head slightly, watching the young girl stare at her. The boy nudged Stella. "Don't be rude," he whispered, though it was loud and Lep heard. "What is it?" 
 
"Well, how are you...like that?" Stella asked in a shy voice. Lep looked at her cuirously. "Like what?" "Well," replied Luno, "All mixed colored and all." "Oh that. I was born like that. Now, I really must be going. It is very important I find Cor." 
 
And with that, she left the two. She flicked her tail as she walked. "Now where could he be?" she thought to herself. She saw, and was welcomed by, everyone but Cor Videre. This began to worry her greatly. What was she to do? 
 
She left where the herd was and headed into the forest. She quickly shifted into a wolf and went out to hunt. It took a while, but she found a large fat rabbit. It would be only to easy to catch. She bent down low to get ready to leap onpond it. 
 
A stomp of a hoof scaried both the rabbit off as well as the wolfess. She bared her teeth and growled as she looked up, but it was cut off. She reconized who it was. It was a tall unicorn that looked white, but was really light blue. He's soft brown eyes looked down at her. Lep hung her head low, embasssed. 
 
"Now now, Lepidus-Malus. I know you have come to see me and you can't very well do so if your head is that low to the ground." She nodded. He turned to leave and walked a little ways before stopping. He stomped his front left hoof twice and the right one. It was a sign to follow. She got up and followed at his heels. 
 
He took her to a spot she didn't kow about. "Not many knows of this place," Cor said as though he could read her mind. Then again, for all she knew he could. She walked by his side, flicking her tail. She kept slient during the walk. 
 
He stopped, and Lep quickly followed. He grabbed a vine that was hanging from a branch with his mouth and pulled it back. Lep walked inside the area, a very small clearing surrounded by trees. Cor walked in and she shifted back into a unicorn. He lied down at one end of the clearing and she did the same to the other side. 
 
"Now, ask away." She didn't know what to ask at first. "Why did he die?" Cor lowered his head. "I'm not God, my dear. I had no choice on the matter. I do not know why he died. And I'm very sorry about it, for he was a very good boy." 
 
"Then, why didn't you tell someone, or did you not know?" Again, another puase. "Yes, I knew. I knew since he was born, which is why I named him Obitus. It means death." 
 
She had her mouth wide open. He knew?! How could he! "How could you-you-let us become so close?" She asked, her voice shook, quiet. "Would you rather me not let you have had fun with him? Would you have want me to juse say to everyone he's gonna die? Think about it." 
 
She nodded. He was right. "But you want to know about yourself as well, no? You want to know about my powers, but mostly about where you stand. And that, I can't tell. I would have long ago if I could." "What do you mean," Lep asked puzzled. "Your name is Lepidus-Malus. It means good evil. It was fate for you to have this problem, your own coat could tell you this much." 
 
This made it wores. She didn't know what to think. All Cor did was make it harder. "Be like Sperare, my dear," Cor said. "Their names, do they all have a special meaning?" "It depends. There's Luno and Stella, do you know them?" Lep nodded. "They're twins, and their names mean Moon and Sun. 
 
"Then there's you parents. Sperare, which means Hope. She always looked towards the sunny side of things. That was what caught your father's attention. And Crep is based a little about his personality, coat, and ability mixed. Crepusculum means Twilight. So, my dear, now you know. It is now up to you to do something with the imformation. I trust you will make the best decsion, rather your bad or good. But remeber, the world doesn't have to be black and white. You can be perfectly happy being in the grey." 
 
He lead her back to where the herd was. She lied down to her thoughts, eating a blade of grass once in a while. Every once in a while, she would shake her head or flick her tail or something of the like. Her mind wandered far and near. But the young unicorn couldn't figure out what to do. 
 
"Did he help you any?" asked a small young voice. "Huh? What?" stummered Lep. She looked where the words came from and saw two black and white foals looking at her. "Did he help you?" asked Stella again. "How can you tell I've seen him?" Lep replied. The two just smiled and Luno replied, "Easy." 
 
With a soft whinny, she nodded. "Yeah, a little bit. Could of been a little more clearer though," she added with a low mummble. "That's Cor Videre for ya," came a reply from Stella. Though curious about her remark, Lep nodded in agreement. 
 
"He can't be to clear. He told you want he could. You have to figure it out on your own." Lep looked curious at Luno, who had spoken. It was weird for two such young foals to know so much. She guessed that great knowlage and understanding was their ability. She would have to see thoses two when they get older. 
 
Being statisfied with his answer now, she went to see her parents. With a loving nuzzle, she told them she had to leave. The two nodded. "We understand," her mother said. Her father gave her instrutions on how to get back to the forest of her new home. Crep had seen it before, though had never been to close. It seemed that it was a day or so jouney. And with that, she left. 
 
She went as quickly as her hooves could carry her. As it turned out, in the early morning while it was still night, she saw the egde of the forest. She went to a nice spot in the forest and lied down for her sleep. And though still confused about her destiny, she decided that only time will tell. And she could wait for it.

Thanks. Yeah, I tried to let Cor keep some secrets. And the foals, while I wrote them, pictured them as the next See-er. Or, at least one of them since in her old herd there has never been more than one at a time. When they get older, one may take over or possible both? Maybe a new story? We'll have to see. And about her and her parents, she may have more time with them in the next story if there is one. You never know.

no, usually the abilities of the herd are at random, though there is always one See-er. And sometimes the ability isn't known for a long time. Like with Orbitus....Then again, that's because I'm still playing with him. May use his charactor somewhere eles, ya know.
