The mare took in his words, glancing over at the others there. In truth, many of them were sick as well. And Ulisses did have a wonderful point with Ebb. Still, to leave the others tugged at her. Yet she had more pressing matters eleswhere and these creatures seemed to know what their next plan was, and many were prepared to follow them. Prehapes it was best to leave them, for now. 
 
Let to leave the war entirely was by far out of the question. Not when she was so closely tied to it herself. She snorted softly, turning back to the stallion. 
 
"Unfortunity, my dear Ulisses, it would seem that I am part of this battle. It's roots have been here long and I have fought in it often. That, and there are those in this forest, somewhere, I'd wish to....see," she finished with a slight smirk. "Malus, another version of myself have died by other hands in the moutains. I have need to find her killer as well as her old leader." 
 
She glanced back at the others still gathering. "Yet this group here, I may leave for the time. They know what their doing and more pressing matters are at hand." 
 
She turned back to the stallion. "So, it seems you might have a choice, dear Ulisses. Do you wish to follow your plan, their's, or mine?"

((Melody hasn't been moved at all, considering she's with pups and Umber is against them going with the others that left. Cortina is also next to Melody. Umber is helping Gaeva and the others out about the swamp lands. Cortina, and I guess Melody too, have mostly just been listening and watching the pups. ^_^ Figured that since Cortina is right next to her, I'd just fill ya in instead of Val. ^_~))

Of course I would follow My Lady. Ulisess replied instantly. If the battle is unavoidable, I would see to it and fight along My Lady’s side. His eyes glimmered in the night as he looked deeply into hers. I promise, I would keep you safe, even if it mean my own death. He nuzzled her, assuring her of his words. 
 
Malus? I have never heard of her before. Was she like a sister to you? he licked along her face, offering consolation. It must be unfortunate for her to have met her end. Rest well. And when you’re ready, we will seek out your killer and the leader of your other self.

The mare smiled at his words, glad to see his love and loyalty toward her. Her eyes caught his, enjoying the shine that the moon gave them. 
 
"Malus, in some ways, was like a sister, yes. Older and more powerful...." She did not attempt to describe their relationship past that, for it was deeply complex. In truth, it was hard for her to say rather she felt hatred or some care for the mare. 
 
She nuzzled him softly. Then, Gaeva's words hit a note. A party would be heading towards the moutains. Prehapes the two parties could linger with each other alittle more. She licked the stallion, smiling. "Prehapes we do not have to part from the others quite so fast. I would not doubt their presence in the moutains, and if others are heading that way, we can at least go along. Prehapes we may be able to even use them." 
 
With a flick of her tail, she turned towards Gaeva. "Me and Ulisses are heading for the moutains. If others wish to accompany us in hopes of finding Willow, they may choose so."

Melody ran her tongue lightly over her teeth as she stretched out a paw, bringing one of her many pups back towards her. Although they were blind they were still managing to struggle from her grip in an attempt to explore. She sighed sadly, hoping Umber was safe and that he wouldn't stay away too long.

"So, you wish to go to the Mountains? That is not so short a trek." He looked up at the two flying whom had volunteered. 
 
"There is a faster way, but I very much doubt that any of you would enjoy it, nor am I about to offer it to those of you whom are sick." Rishcath could easily take them to the mountains in a matter of seconds, why he would do so, where his own reasons, reasons non here would ever enjoy to learn about. 
 
"For those who are not sick I can take you there. It would be quiet literally, instantaneous, if however uncomfortable, but it would be fast. I offer this once, and only once. I have an interest in this forest and one in it, that needs to remain alive. The threat that is here could very well kill that person. I have as much interest in getting rid of this sickness as you do. I'll take those who are healthy and strong there now, if that is what you wish." He took a step down and landed on the deck without a sound, his cloak rippling with a slight breeze. He stood straight and tall, his gaze drifting over each and every creature there, looking to find someone that he may find interesting and perhaps lead him onwards, but for the moment, he turned back and looked directly at Geava, his eyes flashing out of the darkness of his hood. 
 
"I offer this once, or I shall take care of this one you speak of, and I shall not be lenient. If this one is the one whom caused this sickness, she will end it, or face me." He stared hard into Geava's eyes, with his own burning ones, he moved the shadows around him threateningly, a dark promise in his words. 
 
"I can reach the mountains faster then one can by wing. No harm shall come to those who travel with me, I'll give you my word this once, Winged One, after this epidemic however, my word to you shall no longer be binding.”

Ode to dark and smelly places, Norcana thought to herself. Of all forests she had been to, this was the worst. Everywhere was the stench of sickness, particularly in the moss, and the Horse-kin shied from it, tossing her white mane. The the massive sledge that she hauled behind her was cumbersome in the underbrush, requiring her to stamp at the bushes with her forelegs, until she got so tired of that that she just put her head down and threw her massive shoulders against the collar, forging a wide path through the trees, her massive hoof tracks, each larger than a man hole cover, obliterated by the wide swath of the sledge. 
 
She stood ten feet at the shoulder, and was the damn biggest 'normal' horse that anyone was likely to see. She did have a slightly smaller form, an anthropoid form, but for real strength requirements, she used her full horse form. 
 
The heavy thud of hooves could be heard, and the drag of the sledge, and she finally came out into nice open country under tall straight trees, which evidenced dwellings up in the branches. The horse-kin paused, looking around curiously at the assembled creatures. She snorted. 
 
Every single one of them smelled of sickness. 
 
"Does no one care for the ill?" she muttered to herself, disgusted.

Raven walked over to Gaia and Gaeva. "I may not have my powers but I still Have my knowledge of herbs and I think it would be a good idea for us to split up and have one group go to the mountains and the other go to the swamp. I would be happy to go to the swamp if Gaia would go to the mountains." Raven said,calmly.

Chaz had sat this whole time absorbing it all in. He had heard of this 'Willow' and he had decided to find her and help her. He turned around and jumped off the balcony slowly rising in altitude until he was well above the top of the trees. 
"I will find her and bring her back,for the sake of the forest."He whispered.

Kira stroked the tiny drak behind his ears."What are we going to do that will help Gaeva.We could start making recruits of creatures and begin to ready ourselves for the battle..What do you think little one?"She said. Umber was thinking quickly, and finally nodded when Gaeva finished talking, more to himself than to her though. Turning around hemoved into the cabin, heading straight towards Melody, Cortina and the pups, "Lets go," he told them, his voice not a whisper, yet soft anyway, "We're going home. You two will stay there while I go on to the swamps with this bunch to see if we can find a cure to this mess!" His voice obviously suggested he thought they would do exactly as he said.

The mare snorted, turning towards Riscath. His offer was quite conventiant, yet she didn't know or trust him. Her own eyes burned into his, trying to look deep into him to see what he truely wanted for he obviously had different ideas about what to do. That was fine with her, considering that she had issues of her own to find. 
 
Then, Gaeva grapped her attention. So, they would be breaking off into 3 groups, even more once they reached the moutains. For their few numbers, the others may need more help. 
 
Well, they would have to solve it on their own. Again, she returned her attention to Riscath. Lep nodded, giving a soft snort. "Well then, prehapes your way is the quickest route. If Ulisses here has no problems with it, then we shall take you up on your offer."

:Cortina 
Cortina looked up, hearing someone come close. Umber's familiar scent came towards her. How wonderful it was to see him, per say. Her tail even flicked some, smiling slightly. 
 
Then, it faded slightly. "You're going?" The wolf had heard the others talk nearby and caught their anxiety about the swamp. She held back a whimper, but her voice quivered slightly. "But...the swamps are dangerous. I don't want you to get hurt."

Terac grinned, looking up at Kira. Although he didn't know what the word "battle" meant, he felt that it was bad. His tail lowered, ears flicking back. Still, the girl seemed to think that it was a good choice, so it had to be. The drax nodded, snapping at the air infront of him. 
 
"Baaaatt" He tried to say the word, but found the purred version much to difficult. "Ack."

Rishcath's bright eyes continued to look right into Geava's, he may not have known her feelings towards the creature Willow, but he could tell she was not comfortable with him, nor what he had said. That was fine for him, the less she knew or trusted him, the more conclusions would come from that fear, conclusions that were often wrong and deadly when dealing with this dark form. 
 
As she spoke about following their hearts, he too knew that she obviously did not mean him. He smiled to himself with invisible lips and chuckled darkly, a chuckle that could often send a shiver racing down the spine. Rishcath was rather amused with this winged creature and she was supposed to be connected with this forest, or so he had heard from some of the locals who knew of her. Her and her brother, and her... niece, Meali, wasn't she called? Yes. He smiled darkly once more and turned towards the stripped mare and her dragonic type companion. 
 
A darkened shadow moved out away from him, on the ground, the wood beneath, vanishing, nothing but darkness stretched over that expanse, but still, Rishcath kept his touch away from those who where sick. 
 
"If you and your friend are willing, and any who are not infected with this sickness, wish to come with me, then step into this circle." He smiled darkly to himself again. They would not be very comfortable on their trip, but he left that for them to find out. 
 
"If however," He turned his eyes once more to Geava, "It is nessisary, I will not hold my hand in dealing with this creature. What I have come here to do, will come to pass." His eyes once more bore deep into hers, cold and uncaring, pure evil of a kind that may be considered strange by others. For he would save a life, yet take that life in the same if he found it necessary. He could be a 'gentleman' or he could be a 'murderer' but one thing never changed. Rishcath Zithiskuson was evil, to the core...

Melody too whimpered when Umber mentioned that he was going to the swamps without them both, she had a bad feeling about letting him go. 
"Let us come with you," she pleaded, she knew it was a stupid suggestion, she couldn't leave the pups for a moment, but she was desperate for him not to go.

The black and red wolf listened, unusally quiet. Truth was, he was growing bored quickly. It seemed that everyone was just talking. Some were going to go to the swamps. Yeah, water, my what fun. The fire beast snorted at the thought. Others were going to the moutains. Dull! 
 
Then, Gaeva mentioned the Lost Fields. Last time he had been there, he was but a young pup fighting in a large battle. Now that was excitment. He wagged his demonic tail, grinning. "Well, ah know were ah'm goin'. Da fields fah me."

Raven nodded her thanks to Gaeva and then to Gaia. "If we could get someone to lead us to the swamps it would be better."She said aloud. She saw the unspoken bonds between the boy , Thomas and his mother and her heart ached for her own children. Silently she prayed for them and hoped that one day Fate would lead them to her.

"But where can we find people who are willing to fight and haven't gotten infected yet?"She asked the tiny Terac. Blackback sighed and rolled his eyes. He thought going to the swamps was a pretty stupid idea. His bet was on the mountains. But Gaeva had a point in that he was probably among those that had moved furhest into the swamps before, and had some idea of what dangers they might hold. Hearing the comments of several of the others, including Gaias ilk made him question that again; these guys had "contact with the elements", could "talk through the earth" and all sorts of fancy-schmancy supernatural stuff he knew nothing about. 
 
Ah, well, it might be interesting. It was not like anyone would have any urge to buy stuff anyway, until the forest was once again safe and healthy. He could just as well spend the time exploring the swamps -- maybe he could find something of value there. This thought cheered him up. 
 
"Righty. No point standing here gaffin' then. Morning is soon here, no point in going to bed now anyway " said the troll, stretching his fingers, making the joints go pop in a long sequence. Then he made a gesture for his hat, once again becoming annoyed finding that it was not there. 
 
"I'm off." the troll announced. "Anyone who wants to come along, come along. And if any of you find my hat, I'll give you a discount." And with that the troll bowed shortly at Gaeva and set off to the staircase leading down to the ground.

Umber shook his head, "It's too dangerous in there, I've been there before." Lifting his head the big wolf perked up his head when he heard Blackback speak. It wasn't that he didnt trust the troll to do this without him, it's just that he wasn't a wolf. Umber's family was without protection and he would not allow for it to stay that way. Something had to happen. He wasn't very welcome in the Mountains, and didn't like the swamps much. But he'd rather go to those murky swamps then go with that dark figure that offered help way too easily and conveniently. 
 
"Let's go my loves," he growled encouragingly to Melody and Cortina, including the pups as well. Lowering his body he used his paws and jaws to gather a few of the pups together so he could move them as he had brought them here. At least they had Cortina with them now. Turning slowly so Melody especially would have time to follow him, Umber started to make his way outside and down to the forest floor so he could bring his family home, and then follow after the troll to the swamps. 
 
OOC 
Umber has left the thread. To Nightwolf and Melody: NPCs have been added to the Mithren pack. This means the pups can be left in their care while these three take off themselves. I don't recommend we RP arriving there and dropping them off or we'll miss out on other stuff. Just mention it in your first post away from here, wherever you decide to go ^_^ 
To Griatch: First post in the swamps is for you ^_^ 
To Blue: Lead the Mountain party away ^_~

Reaching the ground, Blackback began to whistle an out-of tune melody as he wandered off into the undergrowth. That tune travelled far, making him easy to follow.

The mare watched as the dark figure made a circle and appeared into it. She didn't fully trust him, yet she didn't really trust anyone just at the moment and he was their best chance of getting to the moutains without tiring herself out. Still, this seemed pretty simple for them. 
 
She glanced at the unigon, giving a soft smile, then turned towards Gaeva. "I wish you luck, dear friend." Then, the beltora stepped into the circle. Soon, she will be much closer to her rivals.

The she wolf lowered her ears slightly, not liking the idea of Umber going off by himself, more or less. Still, she wanted to listen to him. And for now, all that mattered was getting the young pups over to pack lands. Then, she was figure out what to do. She bit back a whimper, trying not to worry. Instead, she simply followed Umber's lead.

Hearing others leave, the wolf stood up and wagged his tail eagerly. "Yeah, about time! Lost fields, here ah come." He looked around, eager to get started. 
 
Not wanting to wait around, the wolf smirked. "See ya'll slow pokes lat-ah! I'm goin' on. Meet ya'll there." 
 
With that said, the canine dashed towards the staires and out into the forest.

Terac looked up, wondering what she meant by abilities. Others had mentioned that word before. He listened carefully, trying to understand.
