Planning the next move(open)

Elsewhere, deep within a mountain dwelling, the angel little Kira so desperately wished to see again looked up from his work, dripping knife hovering inches above a quivering mass of terror that had once been an elven lady. Jaysa peered between her fingers at her tormentor as he looked off intently into nothing she could see. She had come with him willingly. She had been stupid. Praying to the Green Lady, the bleeding maiden promised that if she ever got out of this hell she would never be so stupid again. How could something so beautiful be so foul? 
 
The angel, after a long moment, finally turned his head back to the immobile Jaysa regrettfully. He had only just really gotten started. He did not mean to kill her; he would leave that to the ages. No, what he had in mind for her was special. It was creative. It would be most entertaining. But he could be patient, and he was evidently needed elsewhere. Leaning down, he gingerly took the girl's chin in his long cool fingers and brought her lips to his own. He hadn't touched her face yet, but that would be the greatest art he did to her flesh, though it was her soul he truly wanted to sculpt. Time enough for that either. 
 
Straightening to his full height, he spared a moment to enjoy the mixture of revulsion and exaltion his action had caused in the girl before--to all outward appearences-- he ceased to exist. His reappearance near the river and the screaming Kira was just as abrupt, just as silent. Let fools with something to prove throw about winds and lightenings and thunder fit to shake the earth. To those who knew how to read such things, a completely silent enterance was far more frightening than any number of showy theatrics. 
 
His breathtaking silver eyes rested on Kira, one black brow arched slightly. "You know, you needn't yell to get my attention. Hold that rose and think hard enough, I will likely come." He knelt, to better look at the young child of the blood. There was no evidence of his previous activities on his robes or his hands--he was far too practiced for that.

Kira flew lower over the forest and finally settled in a little clearing a few yards away from the river. She sat down on a small rock and pulled Terac from her sholders,where he had been sitting when they flew. "How about this spot?Is it right for us to camp in?"She asked with a slight giggle in her voice.

Terac gripped onto her shoulders, watching in wonder as they flew towards the river. The ride was amazing. For once, Terac wasn't utterly afraid. He even enjoyed it. How the tiny creature wished for a pair of wings for himself, to fly like his friend did. 
 
Then, the ride was over all to quickly. Kira picked him up and asked him about this spot. Terac understood, for the most part, and glanced around before nodding. He had become better at understanding words now and while he did get all of them, he knew the jest of what she was asking. 
 
He leapt down and glanced around, not moving to far from the angel child. Amber eyes made such to get every scene. It seemed safe enough. He glanced back with a warm smile.

Kira smiled back at the tiny drac and set about making camp,keeping clear off any moss. "Make sure you keep clear of any moss you see Terac,ok?"She said over her shoulder as she picked up sticks to make a fire with. Her mind was going over possibilities though,underneath her child exterior was the mind of a genius. "I think that I might know of someone who will be able to help us Terac."She said to the tiny drac,as she set the pile of wood down. She reached into her pocket and pulled out the rose the the fallen angel,Leareth, had carved for her when she had arrived. Tears came to ehr eyes as she thought that she might not be able to see him again. She threw back her head and she screamed with all her might, throwing all her power into it, willing it to cover the forest and find Leareth and bring him to her.

Terac nodded his head at her statement about the moss. He was curious about it's purpose, but supposed that the reason he wasn't to touch it was because it tasted bad or something. That was rather nice of her to warn her about it. He saw her picking up sticks and started to pick some up himself. 
 
He sat down, head cocked to the side slightly with a twig in his mouth, watching as she spoke. The baby drax wondered who Kira could be talking about. He saw her tears and didn't understand why she seemed so sad. 
 
He didn't get a chance to wonder long as she gave an ear splitting cry. He crouched down, ears flat and tail flaps open. He stood there, not knowing what to do.

Kira smiled and trid to catch her breath. "But that isn't fun."She said. She ran over to him and hugged him and then she began to explain her plan to him. "I want to gather a few creatures together to help in the fight with this Hivemind thing.Will you hellp me?"She said the last part while looking into his eyes,she wanted the full effect of what she was actually saying to hit home. she then noticed the little drac,Terac,huddle down on the ground. She stooped down and cratched him behind his flattened ears,"Sorry for the scream little buddy."She said to the little creature.

Terac saw the sudden appearance of the dark angel and instantly clinched his eyes shut. Sure, he heard what the two were saying but what did that matter. The scary man who came from nowhere was still there. He talked, and Kira replied. He understood that she was good, but he didn't know about the man. And he wasn't sure he wanted to know. 
 
He peeked open one eye when he felt familiar fingers on him. Seeing it was the young child, he opened both eyes and stared up at her. She was good. And she didn't seem scaried. He looked over at the dark angel again. "Acccck." he said, standing up and moving slightly behind Kira.

Kira turned to him, her ever-changing eyes turned to a firey red,she squared her shoulders and tried to make herself as tall as she could. "Because I am not going to let someone take my home away from me again. Because there are somethings in this world that are still worth fighting for. And if I can't stop this thing, I will go down fighting." Her small frame was outlined in an unwavering aura of power and an ancient wisdom. Her red-brown hair stood out on her head, for all she was worth,looking like a firey halo."Will you help me?" She said in a strong determined voice.

The tiny creature looked up at the angle child, impressed and startled by the change that came over her. It was as though she was a new being. He began to worry about the change. It was only his deep trust in her that kept the drax from running off. 
 
The energy that flowed from her reached him though. Bravely, the creature nodded his head and grinned. He would help out too. She was his friend and he would trust her no matter what. 
 
Then, he realized just who he was nodding too. With a soft chirp, he huddled behind her leg again. What did fight mean, anyways?

The tiny chirp reminded her of the little drax. "Its ok Terac,he won't hurt you,it will be alright." She said. Her hair had laid itself back down, but the fire had not left her eyes. She bent down and scratched the tiny drax behind his ear. She then realized just how attached she had become to him, though she had only known him for a few hours, she never wanted him to go. She loked up at the angel before her and said,"What do you say?"

Kira felt disapointment course through her body. "I can't just sit here while other innocents are dying in the fight that I was meant to be in. I can't sit by and watch while those people that are fighting,fall under the swords of those who invade this place that I have hardly begun to know."She said,her eyes changed from red to a dark blue*."Terac will choose to stay here or go with me. If he wants I wil take him to that Lady you told me about and leave him with her."She said. She loked down at the tiny creature sheltering itself behind her,and smiled,tears rising to her eyes. She knew that Terac belived and trusted her, she swiftly knelt down and whispered in his ear,"If you choose to go,my heart will fly with you. If you choose to stay, I will carry you through the battle. Whatever you choose, I will not let you be hurt." As she said this a glistening tear fell and landed on the drax's ear, as it did a shimmer surrounded the drax's body and then disappered.

The dark angels' calm words made him terribly nervious. While he couldn't understand most of the words, he knew that they meant trouble. And Kira spoke of trouble too, but it was different. She had more...passion behind her words. He liked her words better. Then again, Terac liked her better period. The other was scary, but not in a monster way. It was scary as a darkness way. Kira was scary as well, but as a new ride that one quickly found to be more fun than scary. 
 
Seeing that their words were now directed towards him, he cocked his head slightly. Somehow, he understood her question. Leave her? He couldn't do that. The other two he had met had left him and it scaried him to much. No, he didn't want to leave. Not even if it meant that they must meet fight, whoever that was. He lifted one of his front hand-like paw and wrapped his fingers around her leg. Then, he looked up at her with big puppydog eyes, asking her not to leave him. 
 
The tiny tear rolled on her face, making him sad. As it fell and hit his ear, he flicked it and watched her. Then, his ears laid flat against his skull. He didn't notice the shimmer untill it was gone, and it startled him at first. But he knew it happened because of Kira, so he trusted it. "Kiiiiiiirah!" 
 
OOC: Isn't it sweet how the young trust so completely. Man, I can't wait untill Terac is introduced to telepathy again (his mother talked to him that way when he was in his egg, although he doesn't realize that others can do it too). It's hard to write a decent post without speech. >.< Also, debating on if he should learn his powers prematurely or not.

Kira watched the shimmer as it disappeared,he now bore her mark,they were forever friends. As he gripped her leg in his tiny paw, she smiled. She knew,when he looked up at her,that he did not want to leave her, and she was glad and she knew that they would never be separated. She felt complete trust in him,he would be her friend and she would be his. Her eyes shimmered between blue and green,creating a beautiful hazel.

Terac began to understand slowly what the two were saying. The dark angel was upset with the child angel. He tried to explain something to her. She was passionately pleading with him, then turned defiant. And then, the conversation seemed to turn towards him. When did that happen? What did he do? 
 
The drax cocked his head slightly, watching. It seemed that the dark angel was upset with his choice. But he wanted his angel child...his friend...his Kira....His mommy. He wanted his mommy, to tell this big man that he couldn't do anything to him or his Kira. 
 
He chirped softly, clutching unto the girl. No, he won't worry her, like he seemed to try and do. It didn't matter what they said, he would go with her. That's right...with his...friend. His Kira friend.... 
 
Slowly, the fox like creature began to sway. His paw slipped down and before he knew it, he found himself asleep. After all, it had been a long day, then he was up for most of the night. The tiny drax was tired. A soft calm purr sounded as he lied by her feet.

Kira seemed to read the Fallen's mind. "Then what would you call this?"She asked,pointing down to the tiny sleeping creature at her feet. "Anything that is willing to fight by myside for what is right and just, is an innocent. Though their souls may not be pure, their hearts are. I know that you slipped from this path long ago Fallen, but in know that deep down you still care for something, there is something that your heart still longs for." Her voice turned from defiant to pleading as it neared the end of her short speech. She loked up inot the angel's eyes, meeting his cool gaze with one of her own. She could almost see into him, but she knew that it was only her imagination, but she longed for it to be true. She felt fear growing deep down within her, if her plan fell through, she would have to head into battle alone, and that was not a thought that she cherished. "I may be fighting a lost cause, but at least I am fighting and not running. Atleast I am not going to run and hide until those things come and find me and kill me. I am going to fight for my right to stay in this forest, as well as in this world. If you won't help me, I will find someone else who will." She said as her eyes began to burn with fear and anger.

"Then I will see you when the battle is won. In this plane or the next,i know not,nor do i really care. I will repay my debt to you one day." Her voice was filled with pain and anguish. Tears ran to her eyes as she bent down to pick up the sleeping drax. "What can I do to change your mind?" She asked the angel."Is there nothing that I can say that will make you change your mind?"She asked.Or your heart?She thought to herself.

Terac opened an eye, feeling his body be gently lifted. It seemed that they were about ready to go. Well, then his nap could wait alittle while longer. After all, he didn't want to miss where they were going next. Then, a nice big nap. And a sack too. He smiled slightly at the thought. 
 
"Oh, the big dark man is still here," he thought, turning to face him. His eyes seemed colder than before, frightening him. He heard Kira's questions and chirped softly, wondering what she just asked. The words were strange to him, as most were.

Kira closed her eyes and when she opened them again the Fallen was gone. "We will meet again Fallen, and hopefully we will be on better terms than we are now."She whispered. She looked down at Terac and smiled sadly."Well my little heart,are you ready for carnage and terror?"She shivered as she said it, but ther was nothing else to say, she knew that she would die protecting him if she had to, she felt strongly about this little creature. She spread her wings, streatching them for the flight ahead. Her earrings glittered in the light, as her hair shimmered in a small breeze. This must be the calm before the battle,She thought to herself.

The drax didn't like the way that he spoke. She didn't seem happy or passionate like she did before. If anything, the child seemed saddened by what was to come. Yet she stayed strong as ever. 
 
A little hand reached up for her. Terac trusted her, would always. He felt safe around the little angel being, even when the scary one was nearby. While things were scary he didn't fear anything with her. He returned the soft smile, ears perked forwards and purring softly. 
 
Then his amber eyes went to her wings. How pretty they looked. He wished for a moment that he had some, to fly like he had seen others did. The soft breeze flew by him, and he felt comfort in the soft touch. "Ack! Ack!" He streched his hands up, sitting up on his hind legs, wanting to be picked up.

Kira saw the little ones want and she bent down to pick him up. She straightened up and looked at the sky, her eyes filled with sorrow for a second and then her childish anxiousness overtook her. "Well,Dear Heart, lets get the show on the road and lets get to where we are going." She said, her eyes filling with the light that they usually held. She spread her wings and jumped into the air, beating her wings to maintain a hovering position. "Ready,Dear Heart?" She asked.
