It's almost time to move as the EZGold is rapidly approaching the date of expiration. As the other thread informed, we will not be moving over to Yuku (if you did not know this then it means you don't read the announcements at the top of the forum <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :p --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/tongue.gif ALT=":p"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> ), instead we will be moving to a PHPBB board. I can't tell you exactly when this wil happen, just that it'll happen within the week.<br>

I really don't know what else to say, besides...goodbye, EZboard Unicorn's Visions...our home for more than 4 years.<br>

we can't access the database of UV unfortunately ... but I found a tool that will visit all the threads (via web) and parse them into data to input in the PHPBB database. This is of course quite a labor, and will not be error free (but should be for most part). We tested it with some forums and it works ok there. Now the big question ... Just how many people will we lose during the move? I've stuck to a couple of RPG's after they've packed up and switched to a different site ... and watched as they lost a couple of once-dedicated members along the way. And eventually dug its own grave, choked, and died.<br>

If the site is easy to remember (I only remember this because I'v ebeen here so long) then I'll never leave... though it might look like it since Uni starts in a fortnight and I'm not sure if I'll have a computer to take up there.<br>

Until then, so during the move, if you need anyhelp at all, I only work weekends and have the rest of the week free to surf the web and transfer stuff, once I'm told how too.

Thanks Jadan, but a little program does the work for us ^_^ We just have to wait for it to finish the job before being able to swing over.<br>

Windra, no it isn't, and even if it was, you wouldn't need to. Everybody who has ever made a post at EZ-UV will automatically have an account there as well (part of the transfer). The only trick will be handing each account to the proper owner, but we'll get to that when the time comes, I'll be doing that manually to make sure it all ends up where it belongs ^_^
