Welcome to Duelingpets Home of the Imaginative Creatures. We are a small virtual petsite community where users get to create their very own creatures, items and monsters. Beside just creating creatures we also offer users the chance to upload videos, music, stories, and even artwork. We are a content creation game that is currently in beta mode, and as such you should be prepared to encounter bugs. We do have a working registration page available for users to apply for an account. The Registration process is a semi-open system as bot attacks in the past had made us reconsider how we handle user account creation. Registration is approved manually and as such our staff looks over every player who wishes to join our site. On top of this all content submitted to the site is subject to a review process to ensure that the site remains safe for everyone.

Currently we are sitting at a total of 10 user controlled features which are blogs, colorschemes, ocs, items, creatures, jukeboxes, channels, galleries, bookworlds, and groupworlds. Now you might be wondering what each of these is, well a blog is a simple journal where users can talk about their content, or a variety of other things. Next up we have colorschemes which determines what colors appear on the website as a whole and is specific to each individual user. For instance if you change your background to have purple in your colorscheme then the background color would change to purple instead of the default blue. OC's are creatures that user decided to create think of them as companions that the user can use to identify with, or engage in rps. Items are anything from weapons to potions that you can use with your pet. Creatures are virtual pets that you can either find in the wild, from shops, or a variety of other locations. Jukeboxes you can think of as your ordinary cd or record player that plays music that you created. Next up we have Channels that provide the user a place to upload videos that they made which could be things like simple strolls through the garden, the creation process of an art drawing or a variety of other things. Galleries is where users come to store their artwork be it digital, traditional, crafting or other. For those writing fans out there the Bookworld section is for you. Bookworlds allows users to create their own story universes or to add on to existing ones. Finally we have Groupworlds which is where many talented creators come together to share similiar interests.

To manage all this content we have two helpers Glitchy the Dragon and Battiro the Bat. Glitchy the Dragon runs his dragonhoard which is used to make sure the economy of the site doesn't lean too far one way or the other. This includes raising the prices on certain features to the possiblity of lowering the price on others. You can think of it as a central bank of sorts, any features that require payment to use go back to the bank itself which is then used to manage the economy. At times these collected points can be used to create Emeralds that the player can purchase to buy certain items or creatures. Battiro the bat is the mascot of the site and is there to greet new members who have recently joined. If you feel the need to socialize with other users we have pms and shouts to do so. Shouts as expected are comments that appear on the user's profile unlike normal comments the owner can't send shouts on his own profile and must do so on others. Shouts do not show up unless a user is logged in. Shouts need manual approval before they can be seen by other logged in users, this is to prevent negative drama from bringing down everyone else. Shoutbox's have a hard limit 600 shouts received to keep things managable. PMs on the other hand are messages sent between two users, only users of that pm can send and receive replies with one another. PMboxes can hold a limit of 8000 unique pms, however each pm can have an unlimited supply of replies.

Some users may wish to run an adoptable characters section well Duelingpets does have a feature that allows users to do just that. The donation feature allows other users to donate points to your donationbox whether it is for adopts, artwork, music, video or just about anything. The user is free to set their goal as high as they wish too except past 2million. The higher the limit the more difficult it will be to achieve, which is why Duelingpets comes with a refund user button. This button allows the user to send back all the points they collected but have not yet received back to the original owners. It is also controllable by the admin to ensure that the points don't get stuck in a donationbox for forever. When users run their donationbox, users may wonder when they can retrieve their points. When a user meets or beats their points goal, that is the time when they can take out the points from the system and not before. The reason for this is to prevent the spending of the points that are not yet ready and may need to be refunded. When the user clicks the collect points button all the points that they collected are sent to their account after being charged a fee for using the service. Most features are upgradeable so that the user can expand as they grow. The player starts out with 0/5000 points, 10/10 Dreyores, and 0/4 ocs, from there the user must purchase everything else. Dreyores may be converted into points or used as a raw material to build creatures and items.

Features to come:
Some of the features to come are inventory, forums, and groups. This may come down later in future versions and as such these features don't really work just yet. Having actual content instead of the placeholder images, music, artwork will probably take a bit longer as I want to make sure the necessary features are in place before I work on the actual content. As things stand Groups is currently being tested, and as such things with this feature could be extremely buggy.

The site may have to undergo some necessary wiping of database content as bugs may be very elusive and might only be solved this way. If you have content that you wish to hang on to, make sure you have a back available as any uploaded content could get lost. The homepage is limited to 3 content per section to limit overloading the homepage. User's Online, Offline, Inactive and Gone are tracked throughout the whole page to give users a sense of how many users are available at anyone time. The active users sheet shows the user's who are active on the site if you like to find friends to chat to and is only available to logged in users.

Only members of the beta privilege will be able to use the site itself as it is not yet ready for public use just yet. Still I might grant a few people beta keys to help out with the testing once I am closer.
