Name: “Clone G1-B ‘Sivis’”. She prefers to be called Sivis, though, or Siv for short.
Species: Sivis is a dinosaur cloned from the DNA of various raptors.
Gender: Female.
Age: 6 years old.
Human Age Equivalent: Around 17-18ish.
Maturity: Young Adult
Appearance:
Sivis is 7 feet long from her nose to the tip of her feathery tail and is nearly as tall as a man. She is covered in soft, downy feathers like a bird, which can fluff up or flatten to conserve or reduce body heat. These feathers are longer on her head, shoulders, and chest. Her base color is soft gray and she has long stripes down her entire body like a tabby cat. These stripes are muted tones of brown and green, turning her plumage into something that resembles a demolished, mossy stone wall in color.
On her arms and tail, Sivis has more developed ‘flight’ feathers. They can easily be distinguished into primaries, secondaries, coverts, etc. These feathers can also, strangely enough, be found on her haunches and the base of her tail (butt-feathers haha).
Sivis also has a sickle claw on each of her hind feet. These claws are almost 3 inches in length and can stab and slash as effectively as a honed knife.
Personality:
Sivis is a rather timid and aggressive raptor at the best of times. She isn’t incredibly extroverted and fun-loving, preferring to stay low and out of sight.
However, she does act differently around friends and people that she can trust. Sivis can show a very caring and cuddly side towards those she meets and is fiercely loyal and protective of them. If spotting a friend in danger, she will protect them at all costs with no regards to her own safety or injuries.
When in the presence of humans or even just hominoid beings, though, she’ll lose much of her cool and become fearful and defensive, lashing out with claws and fangs in a panicked state. The dinosaur will do practically anything to avoid humans and human-like creatures, even resorting to violence if needed.
Abilities:
1) Claws and Teeth – Sivis’ sickle claw is deadly when used and can cut through practically all unarmored hide. Her mouth can also open wide and she has a strong bite force.
Disadvantages:
1) Claws and Teeth – Her claws can only slash through unarmored hide. She can’t cut through metal or bone with that claw of hers, although it can be used pretty well as a carving knife. Her teeth have the same problem upon encountering something that isn’t plant or animal matter.
Family: Sivis was cloned from raptor DNA, and the raptors she was cloned from obviously died a long time ago, so she doesn’t really have a family of any kind, unless you count the scientists who cloned her, and they were mean to her if anything.
Known History:
Sivis was hatched in a research laboratory, as far from Deep Forest as she could possibly be. The scientists who cloned her dubbed her “Clone G1-B”, or “Sivis”, and they treated her like any other common animal that they used to test the “human-safeness” of products upon. This harsh, often painful treatment caused her to cringe and snarl in fear at any human that came her way, even if that person was one of the few workers worried for her well-being and just wished to help. Nine long years passed…
One day, a severe thunderstorm bore down upon the laboratory. The lab workers were forced to evacuate the building, but they were incapable of bringing any of their experiments along. Therefore, the little raptor was left behind with the other animals to brave the storm on her own.
The loud noises and flashes of thunder and lightning utterly terrified the dinosaur. Panicked, she lunged at the cage door that separated her from the outside halls. Luckily, in their haste to leave, the scientists had forgotten to lock the pen’s door; the door swung open immediately with a creak. Sivis leapt out of the cage and into the hallways of the facility. All around her, frightened animals raced around in their cages squealing and screeching. Spotting an exit, Sivis made a mad dash for freedom. As she raced out into the storm, lightning struck the research facility, cutting out all electricity within and electrocuting several animals as they made contact with the cage bars. If Sivis had stayed in the lab for just a few minutes longer, she would have died as well.
For days, Sivis ran as fast as she could, fleeing several miles from the thunderstorm deep into the arid wastelands. She didn’t know that the tempest had stopped, that it wouldn’t pursue her any further. All that she knew was the utter fear that she felt in the storm. Eventually though, she began to tire; she was thirsty, there wasn’t anything out there to hunt, and her morale was deteriorating quickly.
A few days later, though, she stumbled across a place that would change her life forever… Deep Forest.
IC (In Character) Entrance:
Sivis had traveled across the wasteland for many days now under the scorching blaze of the sun. She was exhausted and thirsty, and the fear inside her and the heat weren’t helping matters. A few times, the raptor had thought the she’d seen an oasis, a relief from this burning heat, and rushed forwards, only to find that it was just a mirage. Her spirits were down and they were getting lower by the second.
Stopping for a moment in the hopes of picking up a scent of something to eat or drink, Sivis saw something in the distance through the flickering curtain of heated air that looked incredibly like… trees? Plants of some sort? Whatever it was, it grabbed her attention and shook it, as if to say “Hey! There’s WATER over there!” Sivis had never seen a forest as large as this one seemed to be, but she knew from experience that plants usually equaled water.
She stalked towards the green blur hesitantly at first, wondering if it was just another hallucination, but her parched throat and empty stomach quickly forced her into a flat-out run across the sun-bleached, cracked soil. In a matter of minutes, she’d reached the edge of the great forest.
She was intimidated by the sheer volume of the lush woodland, but she recklessly plunged into the cooling depths of its shade. Oddly enough, there wasn't any water, although there were plants everywhere. Sivis saw the forest clearly for the first time. The trees were enormous, much larger than the ones that she’d seen around the laboratory, and although intimidating, they seemed to promise safety. For the first time since she was a hatchling, she was calm and content.
The snap of a breaking twig ruined the atmosphere. Whipping around, she assumed a defensive posture, flaring her wings and hissing. “Who’s there?” she called out, trying to hide her gaining apprehension.

Re: A Rough Life
”I don’t know what Orb sees in this.”
The Deep Forest has one major river of fresh water running through its center, but there are other, smaller tributaries that, depending upon weather patterns, swell and occasionally feed into smaller ponds and lakes throughout the area.
Tourniquet was, until only moments ago, standing in one of these smaller bodies of water, one near the very edge of the Forest, up to his shoulders, attempting to enjoy the peace of the Forest in the water-logged manner that his relatively new friend Orb sometimes did. He was, as was his custom when he had some “down time” and no other pressing engagements, trying to meditate a bit, but the small movements within and on top of the water proved to be just distracting enough to make his efforts an exercise in frustration.
Finally irritated enough to find a drier place within which to more metaphorically soak in the temperate day, Tourniquet grumbled to himself and slowly worked his way out of the water, carefully avoiding the softest patches of mud below him to keep himself unstuck. Once freed from the water, he shook himself off a bit and began to walk away from the pond.
Tourniquet, as wary of his surroundings as he always was, heard the noises of movement nearby before he could get very far. He ground his teeth a bit in anticipation of danger, but quickly calmed himself, silently reminding himself that it was most likely either a friend or a friend-to-be, given the types of creatures the Forest seemed to attract. He then took a few deep breaths to completely steady himself and followed the noises.
The hellmount, however, was hardly a stealthy creature, and it was no surprise that he gave himself away as he approached…whatever was making the noises…by stepping on a twig with a heavy hoof. The voice that called out in response to the twig-snapping was obviously on-edge, most likely as wary of danger as Tourniquet himself was.
Tourniquet softly sighed at the loss of his element of surprise, decided against any kind of overt show of force, and simply and slowly rounded the large tree that then separated himself and the new creature. He looked the apparent dinosaur up and down quickly with his medium-blue eyes, immediately assessing its combat potential and threat level, and, satisfied that this was not a creature itching for a fight, decided to keep the encounter as peaceful as he could manage. He kept his own disturbing, guttural voice low but clearly audible and spoke directly to the stranger.
”A friend, perhaps. My name is Tourniquet. Are you new to the Deep Forest? I am somewhat new myself and have not yet met all of its inhabitants.”
