Pokemon X and Y

Post by Windra »

So news was released about the new Pokemon games coming out in October (among Kingdom Hearts stuff, too ... Does this mean I have to get a console?)

Pokemon News

A new Fairy type? Haha ... The last time I ever got amped up for the Eevee evolutions was when Espeon and Umbreon came into play, Espeon still being my favorite. None too trilled about Sylveon. Show me a Flying (better yet, Ghost, Dragon, or Poison) Eeveelution and then we'll talk.

But I totally want Noivern.
Noivern and Chespin.

It's set in France.

It has a frog as a starter.

And it's adding Fairy-types.

Ladies and gentlemen, the jokes - they write themselves.
He asked us: "Be you angels?"
And we said, "Nay. We are but men."

I can kinda understand the value of adding Fairy types, because those other critters - Jigglypuff, Clefairy, etc. - were really, really lame. At least now they seem to be going for more bestial looking things, instead of mechanical. (Half the ones from Black/White looked like they belonged to a Tech lab.)

I do, however, love the concept behind the Legendaries. Take a close look. Don't they seem ... biological to you? The flying Legendary seems to represent the circulatory system, while the stag resembles the central nervous system. There's always a third Legendary in the mix ... I'm willing to bet it's possibly skeletal, or muscular?

I much prefer the bestial kinds of pokemon, so I'm rather happy with this generation thus far! The legendaries also seem pretty interesting and that's a good theory. A skeletal legendary would be pretty awesome.

Yes, its only for the 3ds. Can't wait. Getting...I believe Y...for thats the one with the flying legendary. Really want the new mewtwo form though. Mewtwo has always been one of my favorite pokemon.
There are so very many dramatic ways that vast, incomprehensible galactic phenomena can kill you, that every single day that you go unmurdered by space is a miracle.

Sugar and Spice do not mix well at times! So says many of my characters after the chocolate fiasco.
