I am loving this new design! Had to blink a little at first cause it was such a change, but man is it for the better. So pretty! And I love the new banner!

And the colors are so easy on the eyes.

However, I do miss how the Announcements had a little box of their own on the front page. It kinda blends into the forum now.

Glad to hear about the Announcements addition, and seconding a highly visible Vote button. Also, I really liked being able to just sign in and immediately see my unread PM count (if it had gone up from zero, it meant I had a new one). Any chance that could be worked back in? On a related note, when clicking the 'PMs' option, could the Inbox be the starting point? Seems easier to manage communications than launching into a new PM, but that might just be me.

Fun fact: a few days ago, I remember refreshing a page, seeing this totally different layout, and then -- a bit later -- watching it go back to normal. So I'm glad it was a brief test instead of a sign I'm going insane.

That"s true! I put it up, looked a bit, tested a bit, then suddenly saw your name online and wondered what you must be thinking XD Then I tested a bit more and took it offline again to make some adjustments.

The announcements won't be adjusted as easily as I thought, but should still be doable I think.

I need to add the vote button and such....

As for the PMs, I'm not sure, I'll have to check if I can pull the code apart for this.

Ok, messaging system, lol, this is how it works: When you just want to do whatever you go to your control panel, then clicking on "Overview" will give you the option for "Private Messages". This opens the page to compose a new message, but under the tab that says "Compose Message" you get a drop down that lets you go to your inbox, sent messages, everything else. It's all there, just works a bit differently

Gaius, as for seeing the number of new messages, I checked that out as well, and basically if you see nothing at all, you have no messages. If you get a new one, a whole new stretch will appear on your screen showing you have x new message(s) with a link directly to your inbox. So, it's there as well, but only when it's relevant ^_^

As for the announcements, giving it a box like before, no mater what style, just doesn't look good. I tried to change just the background, but that's a little harder than I initially thought! For now I've simply centered it, which does make it stand out a little more.

I like it. A good change every now and again is beneficial to my eyes. The brighter colors make them focus more for me.

If we could do something to make the Announcements sections pop out as opposed to the rest of the site, that would be even better.

If you get a new one, a whole new stretch will appear on your screen showing you have x new message(s) with a link directly to your inbox. So, it's there as well, but only when it's relevant ^_^

Can only see from my phone but it looks good from here! Mumbling something about wishing that chat worked in my phone, but meh. I'm a huge fan of the pastel-ey colours! There are so many dark colour themes out there and I just don't like 'em.
