.Balraa United. [Closed (For now]

Post by Barbannis »

(Ooc: Just a story i'm working on to further the Balraa remnants in Deep Forest. Solo thread for the moment, but I might open it up for anyone to join later on in the story.)

Ic:

.Balraa United.

Furred fingers slipped across his muzzle, wiping away the smear of blood tickling his upper lip, the sour taste of his own pain slipping to his tongue with a slight raise of his lips in growl. He backed off, tail swept down, the sticking mud to his paws, the cold dripping from his chest as he took sight of his oppenent once again. Cheers rung out from behind him, gleaming white fur drooling with smears of mud and dirt.

He pulled his fists up once more, moving to the side as his opponent ghosted his moves, slowly slipping forward for another strike.

Blue dodged, running his shoulder back, raising his right arm and slamming his clawed fist into the side of the other. The yelp that sounded made his ear flick lightly, pushing the other Balraa across into a stumble before they parted with a growl.

The mud pit they circled was surrounded, others watching on, while some called the opponents name, some just gazing wearily. Blue snuffled lightly, his nose twitching before raising his paws once again, closing his bloody lips and watching his opponent finally take a stand, his claws flexing.

"Blue!" came a muffled voice from behind the crowd.

He felt the wind of another strike coming in for a hit, but his turn dodged, sweeping his body back and nearly falling back into the mud himself. His opponent hadn't found the right footing as he slammed down into the dark mud with a growl, the pit quietening as the voice came closer,

"Retsam Blue!"

Blue turned his head, breathing in deep as the crowd of other wolven pulled across,

"What is it child" he spoke in his own tongue, finding a young warrior appear from the side, donned in red armor,

"The prisoner has spoken!"

Words slipped his mind as his eyes flickered light blue. He nodded and stepped forward, reaching an arm to his enemy, helping the young Balraa to his feet with a pat on the shoulder, "Enco niaga" he muttered lightly before peeling through the crowd as the red warrior led him through, "Continue as it were!" he spoke out, leading deeper into the cave, water dripping down from the cool mountain cave.

Their settlement was riddled deep within the dark forest that surrounded their Master Ebb's cave system. Though it did not connect to the greater Grey's mountain cave itself, they knew very well that their Master was not present... not for a while.

Blue turned a corner, wiping away some of the mud from his cheek, settling back as he pulled across one of the sets of leather onto his chest, bounding the straps as they moved deeper into the cave system, Balraa bowing their heads with his pass.

There were no others his size and coloration, no pure white Balraa that strove within the armies, or at least what remained of their army. He continued to lead them, settling, training... waiting.

One more corner was passed as he slipped into a darker network, guards peeling back metal spines that covered the prison walls stretching deep into the bedrock. His paws med harder ground, water dribbling down from the walls from the excess cracks. His blue eyes flickered, torches of red flame stretching down the long winding curves of their prison.

They passed cell after cell.. empty.. all but one.

Blue snuffled the air slightly as the young warrior stood aside, two guards slipping back from the door as he stepped inwards, arms folding over his chest, chains gently rippling against the hung form of something large shakled,

"Speak" Blue muttered, his tail low.

There was a silence that followed, the flickering red eyes gleaming up from the wall, armor still nailed and bent into its corrupted form,

"Speak Necrosis.. Your Master is long dead, your army fallen. Yet you have had nothing to say?" Blue looked the demon in the eye, waiting,

"My Master fallen, yet you let me live" its voice clouded,

"We like to keep our enemies close.."
