OOC: What's really making me laugh right now is the little one-sided chemistry going on with Juno and Khazetemba right now xD STRANGER DANGER, ROFL

BIC:

Khazetemba smiled and chuckled in response to Simi's stating the obvious, and he closed his eyes, causing little trails of blue mist to flow from his eyelids. For a moment Simi wondered if her stupid words were so funny that the knight was beginning to cry. She looked down, giving a small embarrased laugh. "Though I guess that was obvious..."

"It figures," the death knight said in his strange voice. "One of the first I meet happens to be the embodiment of life and beauty."

Simi smiled as she shifted one hoof behind the other. If she were human, she would have blushed at the comment. What a thing to say after her clumsy entrance! The unicorn certainly didn't think of herself as the embodiment of life or beauty, but the fact that someone actually thought so was really nice, and admittedly very flattering. "Th-thank you..."

"My name is Khazetemba. And I am a Death Knight." He glanced over at the cat-eared-man for a moment, reveling in his hokey-pokey dance. "But looking at you is putting the life right back into me. I may have to revise my title," he finished as his armored tail swung from side to side, causing the other neko to roll his eyes.

"I'm Juno. Charmed."

Simi pricked her ears forward pleasantly. "That was a funny dance you did, Juno ^^" she said before looking back at Khazetemba. "I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. I had never... um, seen you before, and I overreacted."

Khazetemba was mildly disappointed with how he seemed unable to catch Juno's gaze. Those eyes were something to look at, as was the rest of him. As much as he wanted all these risque thoughts to keep parading about his head, however, it wasn't the most appropriate time for it. Perhaps later, if he could catch him alone...

The Unicorn, Simi now, seemed quite pleased with Juno's dancing. "That was a funny dance you did, Juno ^^" She had a certain undeniable sweetness to her voice - Khazetemba wondered if this was a product of her personality, or of being a unicorn? That thought carried into them as a whole...he really didn't know much about them individually. Were there evil unicorns? Maybe he'd ask her about it later.

"I'm sorry for how I acted earlier. I had never... um, seen you before, and I overreacted." she said, sincere. The apology brought Khazetemba's gaze to meet hers, and he smiled, his eyes narrowing and his features taking on a sinister appearance. As a product of the transformation, most of his expressions were corrupted in this way.

"Most who carry what I carry do so to tear the land asunder. It is not unwise to fear these markings and this blade." The black eyes of the bladeskull glowered a painful red, two blood runes across the blade glowing the very same colour. "It is only your panic that was concerning. You could not hope to survive if your mind was filled with fire. You would burn alive in your own terror." The glow brightened for a time, before dying away to a dull flicker.

"But I'd sooner dance, sing, and shout than run about sundering all willy-nilly." The armor at the tip of Khazetemba's tail started to glow a bright green, before flaking off with an acidic sizzling as if it were turning into ashes...

"Do you like to dance, Simi? Juno quite clearly does. Could you out-dance him?"
He paused for a moment in thought. "He seems...clumsy." Khazetemba showed a few teeth through a grin, glancing at Juno.

"Customary systems check. Gotta make sure this thing still works if It's gonna last me the rest of my life" Juno responded to the unicorn as he gave his neck a slight twist giving a stiff crack as it loosened a bit.

"Ahh that's better." It was then that he got the passive annoyance from Kahz-what ever his name was

"And you're quite rude." Was Juno's cold reply back at the death knight. "Nice to know your manners are decrepid as you are."

Now it might be good to note that Juno's black outfit, that form hugging suit of black traced with thick bold lines of neon red that expressed a sleek digital touch to him, was still lit up with energy as if it were powered on.

"Besides now is not the time for dancing, I should be back to my duties." Juno turned to search for something... what it was is left to be told.

"Customary systems check," Juno replied in answer to her compliment. "Gotta make sure this thing still works if It's gonna last me the rest of my life." He twisted his neck a little, causing the joints to crackle.

"Ahh that's better."

Hearing Simi's apology, Khazetemba raised his head, and his strange glowing eyes met that of the unicorn's with a strange (and kind of creepy) but honest smile.

"Most who carry what I carry do so to tear the land asunder. It is not unwise to fear these markings and this blade." His sword's eyes were beginning to act up again, but Simi took care to try to ignore that evil thing as much as she could. However, there was nothing she could really do about the faint red glowing from the corner of her vision.

"It is only your panic that was concerning. You could not hope to survive if your mind was filled with fire. You would burn alive in your own terror."
Simi tipped her head curiously at the Death Knight. What an interesting way of putting it... panic really is like a fire. It can make you feel trapped... like you are about to be burned on all sides....

And she knew that feeling... not that she liked remembering it.

The glow of the sword brightened for a moment, but then it seemed to die down. Simi didn't think about it- she just assumed that she was ignoring it that well that she just didn't notice the glowing anymore.

"But I'd sooner dance, sing, and shout than run about sundering all willy-nilly." The tip of the cat-man's armored tail started to glow a neon green, but whatever substance had appeared there quickly flaked off, sizzling into the bare dry ground. Many things about Khazetemba was very strange. If he really had been here to kill her, Simi might have had a heart attack.

"Do you like to dance, Simi?" his strange voice dragged Simi from her thoughts, and she was glad that he hadn't noticed her staring at his glowing tail. "Juno quite clearly does. Could you out-dance him?"

Simi gave a nervous blink. He... he wanted her to dance?

"He seems...clumsy."

"And you're quite rude,"
was Juno's cold reply back at the death knight. "Nice to know your manners are decrepid as you are."

Juno turned away, making a quick blur of light with the movement, for his suit was still lighted. "Besides now is not the time for dancing, I should be back to my duties."

Simi laid her ears back as she brushed one hoof against the other. Why was Khazetemba so teasing with Juno? He obviously didn't like it.

But there was still a question to be answered, and Simi looked back timidly at the knight. "I um... yeah, I've danced before- w-when I'm alone, that is..."

Augh, that sounded rude!

"But yes, I like to dance!" she said with a small smile. It was true. Simi did enjoy prancing around in little patterns, and she especially loved making figures in the air as a phoenix, but she had never done such things in front of others. Her shy personality always got the better of her, but today it seemed that she was saved. Juno was finished dancing, he wasn't even dancing in the first place, he said, so there was no need for her to out dance him now, right? Maybe Khazetemba had other things he wanted to talk about!

X3; I'll never get tired of Simi's shyness, it's just adorable...and it is so hard to resist trying to mess with Juno some more. XD

Also, forgive me if I screw up the colours. It's hard for me to remember which goes where sometimes. D:

===IC===

Khazetemba was confident by this point that things had drawn a sufficient calm, as Juno was finishing up his routine and Simi seemed to be much more appeased than earlier. All the better then, if they could get to talking rather than flailing about.

"And you're quite rude," came Juno's response to Khazetemba's insult, ""Nice to know your manners are decrepid as you are."

Khazetemba cracked a grin, his eyebrows raising. "Ohhh...feisty! Just the way I like it!" He withheld any further commentary, though - he only pushed buttons until he knew what they did. Unless, of course, they were his preferred buttons to push, but thusfar Juno hadn't made any of those particularly apparent.

"Besides now is not the time for dancing, I should be back to my duties." Duties? Khazetemba wondered what kind of duties he was talking about. With that crazy suit, his first guess might have been some sort of assassin, but then his line of work tended to preclude him to those kind of guesses anyways.

The armor along Khazetemba's tail had completely flaked off by now, leaving the sickly-tinted pink pipe-cleaner vulnerable. The decay progressed along the armor of his back, chipping it away with an acidic crackling, sizzling noise. There were faint trails of a blueberry scent wisping through the air.

Simi seemed, at least a little, more accepting of the whole dancing thing. "I um... yeah, I've danced before- w-when I'm alone, that is..." The slight stutter to her voice along with the reserved way she carried herself...there was no doubt she was a shy one. It was a fair trait though, and Khazetemba imagined it went a long way to making people feel comfortable around her.

"But yes, I like to dance!"

"Well good! Then it's settled." said the Death Knight, raising his arms high into the air and clasping his fingers together. "When Juno's done killing the King and taking the Queen as his own, we can borrow the ballroom and dance to our heart's desire!" At this time, the deterioration of his armor had progressed such that the remnants of his chest and shoulderplates fell right off, slamming into the earth with a clang before cracking like eggs, shards of the titansteel whittling apart and vanishing as wisps of green smoke. It soon became obvious that Khazetemba was wearing a purple puffy coat-vest beneath the armor, as well as a pair of bluejeans.

"Oh god. I'm falling to pieces here! Unicorns, they're driving me bonkers!" He gave a stupid-looking grin with two thumbs-up.

Juno glanced at Khaz during his last statement and decided it was case in point as far as the... deteriorating condition of the... whatever deadspawn he was. Thus he turned toward the forest and began to start in his chosen direction, after all. They seemed to be handling each other. One an incarnate of death and the other one of life. Two forces on opposite ends competing with each other for all eternity. Nothing wrong with leaving the two of them there.

Nope not at all.

A pox on me for having a conscience

And thus did Juno decided to stop on his march and just sit and watch the antics between the two without saying anything this time around.
After all, it might mean less text to re-read.

And with that fourth wall breaking antic that couldn't be re-quoted in context. This post was submitted.

OOC: Lol, well that was pretty convenient on your part, Juno :P

BIC:

The death knight Khazetemba raised his hands high above him, clasping his fingers together as he exclaimed, "Well good! Then it's settled. When Juno's done killing the King and taking the Queen as his own, we can borrow the ballroom and dance to our heart's desire!"

Simi tipped her head, surprised with Khazetemba’s sudden burst of happiness. It was almost unfitting with his haggard appearance, but at the same time sort of funny. It was nice to know that the death knight could be so happy and humorous! Even if he had once again brought in Juno... and she had no idea what a King or Queen was.... or a ballroom for that matter. She looked down, getting lost in her pondering.

The unicorn gave a start when she heard the clanking of metal again, and glanced back at Khaze to see that the last of his protective armor had fallen to the ground and broken apart, making small clouds of dust on the dry, cracked floor. The smallest pieces collapsed onto themselves, dissolving into green fog before vanishing entirely. Simi had never seen anything so strange. The armor melted like... like water. It went into the air like a puddle in the sun!

What was left of the death knight’s clothing was a fluffy purple vest, along with a pair of long blue pants.

"Oh god. I'm falling to pieces here,”
he remarked. “Unicorns, they're driving me bonkers!" Khazetemba grinned as he held two thumbs-up, something that Simi had learned to be a friendly gesture when it came to hands. It was so familiar and playful that the unicorn found herself giggling.

“Wait, you mean I did that?”

Juno seemed to have lost interest, and Khazetemba waved as he walked off. Yet at some point he seemed to change his mind – or maybe he just wanted a sit? Whatever the reason, Khazetemba simply blinked and refocused his attention on Simi, who was proving to be a very silly Unicorn indeed. And those were his preferred kind!

“Wait, you mean I did that?” said Simi, inquiring of Khazetemba's quickly unraveling state.

"Oh, yes. Yes you did. I mean look at me now!" Khazetemba raised his hands, wriggling his fingers as his gauntlets seared away with trails of green smoke. It didn't take long before all of the armor had dissolved, though this left the Death Knight in an akward looking state. He was very muscular, but looked so pale and sickly that it just didn't 'fit'. "What will my friends think of me when they see all this pink? I don't want to look like some -girl-!"

Khazetemba let out an almost sad little sigh before a bit of a grin crossed his features. "But then, I don't know...with Juno's input on my particular fragrance, maybe I need to start hanging out with new friends..."

Khazetemba closed his eyes and took a deep breath before he grunted, almost in pain. At that very moment, clouds of frost built up around his body at an alarming rate out of his mouth and nostrils, enough so that the temperature of the ambient air would be drastically lowered by it's presence. The misty cloud became thick and obscured him, as the sound of bonecracking could be heard inside.

As he walked out of the frosty cloud hugging himself and shivering, it was more than obvious he'd changed. His eyes no longer gave off their undeathly glow, now showing their natural sky-colored hue. His body had lost it's excess muscle mass and taken on it's vibrant pink shade, and though he was noticeably smaller overall, his proportions were much more natural.

"B-b-b-b-BLECH! Ten coats wouldn't be w-w-warm enough for that!" Like the rest of him, his voice had taken on a natural tone – no longer did it possess an unnatural depth or echo. Khazetemba bit his lip, rubbing his arms to try and warm up.

Well thats what you get for using an ice based transformation sequence Juno thought to himself in mock reply from where he sat, and couldn't really provide any further commentary on the situation. He did notice the irk of pink at him but he let it slide. He had been called pink so many times that it didn't really but him anymore. The only real reason as to why he sat on that log and just merely observed the conversation was that, well. It had to do with his duty. And frankly he didn't wanna see opposing sides of the magical spectrum go at it and destroy part of the forest for the sake of nameless violence. So right now it was to play the part of fly on the wall... or in this case...

OOC: Sorry for the long wait!

BIC:

"Oh, yes. Yes you did. I mean look at me now!" Khazetemba raised his arms high into the air, the remnants of his armor steaming away in clouds of green. However, as his armor finally disappeared, Simi found that his appearance was very... odd. He looked healthy enough- or rather, his shape- but his fur was so pale and thin... was he sick? She was reminded of an unpleasant experience she had had with an undead creature from years ago. As much as she hated to admit it, there were some traits of Khaze that seemed very undead...

"What will my friends think of me when they see all this pink? I don't want to look like some girl!" Feigning sadness, the death knight sighed before giving a more cheerful grin. "But then, I don't know...with Juno's input on my particular fragrance, maybe I need to start hanging out with new friends..."

Simi quickly grew alarmed when frost began to spill out from Khazetemba’s mouth and nose, clouding his body in cold, icy fog. His sudden grunt startled her, and her eyes widened. Something had gone wrong. The armor had melted away and now so was Khazetemba, himself! The cold chilled the air around him, blowing gusts of icy wind against her forelegs.

So far she had willed herself not to panic again, but her resolve quickly began to fade when bone-cracking was heard from within the ice-cloud.

“K-khazetemba?!” Simi managed to cry out as her front legs began to fidget again. “Khazetemba, are you alright?!” Another crack split from the swirling cold. “W-what’s happening?!”

The unicorn didn’t know what she might have done, if Khazetemba hadn’t then walked out from his cloud of frost.

The pink-furred lion was shivering, hugging himself tightly as he recovered from the cold that he had just escaped from. Immediately, Simi could see changes in the feline. His eyes, no longer glowing the color of blood, was now the color of an afternoon sky. His body seemed less muscular, and the pink in his fur was much more apparent. Over-all, he seemed... normal.

Oh, thank goodness he's okay.... I really did think he was melting!

"B-b-b-b-BLECH!” the freezing Khazetemba managed to stutter. “Ten coats wouldn't be w-w-warm enough for that!" Simi’s ears pricked at the sound of his voice. It was no longer thick or gravelly, but fairly toned. The unicorn was over-joyed to see the lion in this state; finally, he looked healthy, and even better, he hadn't melted after all!

“You’ll warm up, soon enough!”
she said cheerfully, a bright smile on her face. “I’m just glad to see you more... well... well, you look much better!”

Oh, how rude of me... Maybe he liked looking that way!

However, seeing how cold poor Khaze had gotten himself, the unicorn's eyes softened with concern. "Are you alright?" she asked.
