Confused and Misunderstood
Name: Fhalkon
Species: Chimera Demon; Believes he is Human
Gender: Male
Alliance: Evil (But with all the best intentions)
Age: 25
Mature Adult at Age: 15
Appearance:
Normally, Fhalkon would look like a huge snow leopard, with luxurious white fur decorated with silver ringlet-spots. Two large feathered wings would sprout from his back, white with silver bands. And two gently backward-curving, silver horns would be set between his triangular ears, above his blue eyes, so pale they're nearly white or, perhaps, silver. But Fhalkon is a shapeshifter and has long forgotten his appearance at birth.
For the past 12 years, Fhalkon has believed that he is human; a tall, lithe man with angelic white hair that he keeps long enough to wear in a short ponytail at the base of his cranium. His eyes are the same pale ice blue they have always been.
As he approaches the forest, however, a bit of magic will reawaken some long-dormant instinct. He will resist it, but not before wings have grown from where there was once only wing-shaped tattoos; a long, spectacularly fluffy tail grown from the base of his spine (tearing a bit of a hole in the back of his pants, I'm afraid); and two strange, silver horns slide back from just above his now-pointed ears, following the contour of his head and pointing down towards his neck.
Personality:
Fhalkon's personality largely depends on who you are or, more accurately, what you are. Fhalkon is currently on a quest, you see, to rid the world of demonkind. Unfortunately, Fhalkon's definition of "demon" extends to dragons and most mythical creatures (or even talking animals) who do not look like they could possibly be considered of angelic descent. Classification as Angel or Demon is very purely subjective and will depend on the situation and Fhalkon's state of mind at the time of meeting. First impressions will be very important, as Fhalkon is quite stubborn and will likely not reconsider his judgment once it is passed.
If you are lucky to be deemed angelic (or human, which persons Fhalkon is on good terms with, though such cases will be rare in this forest), you will find Fhalkon to be quiet, polite, and possibly even protective. He will speak seldom, but when he does, his observations are usually sound (unless they're regarding persons of "demonic" origin). Should you find yourself on this good side, you will most likely have heavy influence with Fhalkon's decisions and could reasonably dissuade Fhalkon from disastrous choices of action. However, you would be warned to choose your words wisely, as a misstep could cause you to fall into disfavor, and there is no return from such a course.
On the flip side, should you be judged a demon, you will likely be challenged, commanded to surrender and suffer judgment, and attacked for no very good reason at all! Anything you try to say will be regarded as a flat-out lie (for demons are despicable beings and no truth can cross their tongue unless it is to lend believability to the bigger lie). As such, there is no way to convince Fhalkon that you are not, in fact, a demon. Because that is just the sort of thing a demon would say. If he did not want to die, you see. Creatures who Fhalkon thought to be angelic and proved to be demons in angel disguise will also fall into this category.
Abilities:
Fhalkon wields twin curved knives, Saoirse and Euridice. Each one is 12-inches from pommel to tip, the blades being 9-inches long. They are single-edged and curve outwards along the blade. There is a notch cut in the back of the blade near the hilt and a fuller to make the blades lighter than they would be otherwise. The blades are crafted of a steel alloy that was mixed with powdered demon’s horn, making the metal stronger and giving it a pale silvery sheen. The name of each blade is etched into the blade just above the hilt in a runic alphabet. They have very small, circular crossguards and the hilts are wrapped with smooth, white leather. The pommels are set with smooth, round silver-colored stones, they look like they could be silver pearls; no one is quite sure what they really are.
He has been trained in dual-wield combat with these specific blades since he was 15, so he is really quite good with them.
He is built light for agility and has precise aim.
His hearing and eyesight are ever so slightly more acute than those of a human, but not nearly to the extent they would be if he could realize his true form.
Fhalkon is a shape-shifter, he can assume nearly any form he can imagine, though he tends to prefer keeping his white-and-silver color scheme. It also takes him extra effort to change his eye-color.
(ADDENDUM 04/18/2009)
Fhalkon is a Wisp-bonded, but can only perform magic by using his flute as a focal. The duration and strength of his spell largely depend on how long he plays and the mental constitution of his foe (in the case of debilitating songs). The amount of energy he has for spells is directly proportional to the amount of available light in the area, as Fhalkon draws his energy from Wisp and Wisp draws it from any and all available light sources.
Spells
Flash - Blinds an enemy with a bright flash of light. Only spell that can be performed without his flute (he whistles sharply instead), but the foe must be facing Fhalkon for it to work (and have their eyes open. The duration of the flash is so short that even a well-timed blink could negate it). The blindness does not last long, it starts to wear almost as soon as the flash ends.
Cure - By playing a soothing melody, Fhalkon can summon many wisps to heal his friends and allies. The strength of the cure depends on how long Fhalkon plays for, as the wisps will disappear as soon as he stops playing. A cut or abrasion might take 1-3 minutes of playing to heal, depending on severity. Broken bones might take upwards of half an hour or more. Falcon devotes his entire concentration to playing while doing this, so he will be wide open to attacks. Also, the wisps operate in an area of effect, so he can heal multiple people at once, but the recovery time is slowed.
(ADDED 01/26/2009) (Addendum 04/18/2009)
Auto-Cure: When Fhalkon is knocked unconscious or injured enough to fall unconscious, his body will glow and be engulfed in a white healing flame. Anyone else who touches this flame would also be cured. He will stay asleep until he is COMPLETELY healed; his healing is accelerated, but not instantaneous and not as fast as it is when he is actively curing someone else. The duration lasts a variable amount of time depending on the severity of the wound(s). If he enters this state and someone, for example, were to stand there and keep cutting him with a knife or something... he would be unable to wake up until they stopped. He can not recover from instantly fatal wounds, such as a beheading. Also, severed limbs can not be grown back, but if someone puts the limb where it belongs before the wound is healed over, it can be reattached.
Confusion - An upbeat tune with a variable pace, this song will disorient anyone who hears it, friend or foe alike, causing them to feel dizzy or see things that aren't there (or to not see things that are). Fhalkon himself will be occupied with playing, so he can not attack during the song, but can be attacked by anyone with enough mental stability to resist the effects, or anyone with a set of earplugs handy. The effects will end as soon as he stops playing, but it may take those effected a short amount of time to reorient themselves. Also, the effects may not begin immediately, so Fhalkon can be attacked and interrupted during the intro to the song with no consequences.
Disadvantages:
Fhalkon can be disarmed and his blades have no magical properties outside their enhanced durability and sharpness from their materials.
Fhalkon may have good aim, but he will not be able to hit for very hard, nor can he take hits very well. He will mostly do his best to dodge blows, but can be quickly worn out by an extended battle (Sprint over Endurance).
Fhalkon can hear and see well, but he's not the type to ambush someone. He will announce himself before he attacks and give you the opportunity to surrender (he'll still kill you if you surrender, but at least he will be off-guard for it. Wink-wink.)
He doesn't remember that he is a shapeshifter, so he can not change his form at all. The magic of the forest is slowly trying to awaken this memory and he may change minor features if his resolve slips, but there will be nothing major. If he did have control of this ability, though, the shifts are not instant, though they are fast, and require a good deal of concentration. If he's interrupted and doesn't stop changing, he could end up with his organs on the outside, or something equally gruesome.
Again, Fhalkon needs to be able to play his flute to perform magic, and there were more in-depth disadvantages to his spells given in the spells section. In general, his songs can be resisted by willpower or blocking the sound; and he is completely open to attack while playing.
(ADDENDUM 04/18/2009)
If there is only dim lighting, such as moonlight, starlight, or firelight, his spells are weaker and he could easily push himself to his limits, magically, and drain himself of all energy by trying to do too large or a spell or too many small spells. This also applies to his Auto-Cure; his healing slows down and if he is kept in this state for too long, he may run out of energy and be left comatose until exposed to light in order for the Wisp to continue its healing. If kept in the darkness too long, he may die of starvation, dehydration, or the wounds that triggered the Auto-cure state.
Family:
Although he does not remember them, his father is a chimera demon and his mother a shape-shifter chimera. His younger sister, Taka, is a resident of the forest, though he would not know her if he came across her (she might know him, though.)
His adopted human family was a family of deeply religious healers. They took him in and, interpreting his white hair and wing tattoos as omens, taught him that he was either a guardian angel sent to them or an angel-blessed human child. In either case, he swore revenge on the demons who had stolen his first twelve years of memories from him and resolved that all demons should be slain, to prevent other orphans like himself.
History:
I think most of this has been covered in Taka's Bio and the rest of his Bio, but, just to summarize:
Fhalkon and Takhacco were born to Dionychus and Seriin in a mountain cave on the outskirts of a demon colony. Fhalkon was bonded to a wisp and practiced the arts of shape-shifting and flute playing, as well as sister-keeping.
One day, humans attacked the colony, Fhalkon went to aid the demons with his father, but they were separated. Fhalkon used his shape-shifting abilities to disguise himself as human and try to get some information from the human's camp that might aid the demons. Before he could get there, he got caught up in a skirmish and knocked out.
When he awoke, he was in the human camp, being nursed by their healers. When they found that he could remember nothing except his name (and only that after a lot of prompting), they explained he had been attacked by demons. When no one claimed him as a son, they figured his family had been killed and he was adopted by the healers.
He showed great affinity for healing arts (through his music and "miracle flames") and was taught to loathe demons and demonkind. As the humans were constantly at war with the demons, he was also tutored in unarmed and armed combat. After he showed proficiency in the dual knives, he was gifted his own special pair for his 15th birthday, though his "birthday" was actually the day they had adopted him and his age was approximated (See Saoirse and Euridice). In his 18th year, he set off to fulfill his God-given duties to rid the world of demonkind (after all, he was angel-touched, what else would such a thing be for?).
He has traveled many years and many leagues and slain many demons and monsters and, at long last, has arrived at a peaceful forest surrounded by a vast wasteland...
Anything Else We Need to Know?:
Fhalkon is crazy o_o Yeah, no, seriously. Anyway, just FYI, he will most likely cause trouble by attempting to kill anyone he meets. I will, of course, not kill anyone without express written permission, so most threads involving Fhalkon will end on a "Next time, Gadget!" sort of note. Also, some of you may have met Taka already and know that she is searching for him. Fhalkon looks quite different from the way Taka remembers and describes him, so I would ask that you not make any connections right away. I'd like to play with him for a little bit before he runs into his sister.
Any major changes to his abilities (especially if he regains his shapeshifting) will, of course, be subject to mod approval.
Fhalkon will be entering after the time jump, so I am setting his entrance in spring.
Also, his name is pronounced "Falcon," and that is his actual name outside of UV, so please excuse me if I accidentally called him that instead of Fhalkon... it's taking me a bit of practice to get used to it XD
He's solar powered! :D
IC (In Character) Entrance:
Fhalkon growled softly under his breath as he trudged wearily across the wastelands. It had been two days since he had eaten the last of his traveling rations and he had just emptied his last waterskin this morning. It was hot, he was parched and starving, and there was sand in his shoes! Again! And on top of all that, there was sand in his tail. He shot the offending appendage a deadly glare, but it continued to drag lifelessly behind him, hot, heavy, and full of sand. The wings were heavy, too, but at least they looked good. And he could use them for some shade, or fan them a bit for a cool breeze (though that also kicked up a lot of sand, and then it got into his shoes).
Most annoying of all, though, were the queer horns that curved around his head, rooting at just above his ears. If he had stared at them long enough (this was before he had broken his mirror in frustration), they almost looked like a silver halo. Or maybe half a silver halo. But halos were supposed to be gold and float above your head! And angels didn't have tails! Well, maybe cherubim, but not like this!
He heaved a heavy sigh as his stomach growled in complaint. Well, he would be dead soon, so it wouldn't matter. Maybe he was only half angel, he'd get his full halo when he was fully dead. Half halo for half dead, full halo for full dead. That made sense, didn't it? He could do without the tail, though. Really. No tail.
His knives in their sheaths beat rhythmically against his legs as he took one trudging step forward at a time. His swordbelt hung loosely off his thinning frame, threatening to slide over his hips and be lost to the neverending sand forever.
"Wisp..." he muttered, to himself to anyone who might be observing (not that there was anyone out here to observe), but actually to his bonded light elemental, "Wisp, it's too bright... can't you do something about the sun? He paused, "No, that's alright, I didn't think you could. I don't like the dark much, either, anyway."
Some time later, the unknowing chimera saw through the shimmering heat a blob of green on the horizon. "Wisp... I think I'm starting to see things. Is that on Oasis?" He paused again, listening, "No, I didn't think so, either. Oasis have palm trees, right? And are small. That looks like a forest." Another pause. "Wait. You see it too, Wisp? There is a forest there?"
And so, he put on an extra burst of speed, the forest was within sight! What he didn't realize was just how massive this desert-bound forest was! It took him longer than he had anticipated to reach the trees. By the time he had, the green stretched to both ends of the horizon and continued back as far as his eyes could see. By this time, it was dusk and getting cooler. The spring air wafted out of the forest, bringing scents of pine and pollen and... berries! Fhalkon's mouth salivated in anticipation. Food! Water! It didn't take long for the young man to locate a ripe blackberry bush and begin stuffing his face with as many of the ripe, juicy berries as he could get his hands on. He didn't even mind when the thorns cut his hands from his carelessness.
These had to be the best blackberries, like, ever.

It had been a while since Lady had been to this side of the edge to see what was, and what was happening was that it was nothing. Her tail swished back and forth as she flew in the area of the edge. She smiled, she loved her home here in the forest and loved all the new friends that she had made and would hope to make more friends in the near future.
Ladanna landed lightly on a tree branch, using the branch above her to hold her balance. She scanned the area for anything new or an old friend that she had not seen in a long time. Just looking slightly to the right, Lady caught someone eating some berries. The creature was a large kitty with wings. She smiled at that, kitty were awesome. She had the sudden urge to go and pet it. She had once had a little tabby cat. But she refrained herself, she had no idea whether the creature was good or evil or if it even liked people like her. However, she decided instead to just go and greet the fellow who was seemingly ravenously as it kept eating the berries one after another.
She it only took him a few minutes to fly down to its side. She watched it for a few minutes unsure of what to do. So instead, she did something out of character, she shouted. "Hello!! Welcome to Deep Forest! I'm Ladyanna! Pleasure to meet ya."

By this time, Fhalkon's hands and mouth had been stained purple with sweet blackberry juice. He looked up, startled, at the woman's voice; freezing at he stared at her. She looked mostly human, but had a tail... Of course, he had a tail now, too. There was something weird going on in this forest. She didn't look particularly demonic aside from the tail, though, with her long blond hair.
He stood up, long tail sweeping through the dirt behind him, "The pleasure is all mine, I am sure, Lady Ann. I am Fhalkon," he replied politely. He half-turned to face the woods--Deep Forest, she had called it. He thought about it quietly for a minute, then turned back to her and stated, "There is something strange about this place." Perhaps there was some sort of evil demon deep within, using its powers to influence and change people as they came--to make more demons. If this was a demon nest... it would bring him a good, big step closer towards completing his life's mission.
The berries hadn't quite filled him up and he was still thirsty, but there were more important things to worry about right now, "Tell me, Lady Ann... Do you know if there have been any demons sighted in these woods?" He cocked his head slightly, blissfully unaware of his new purple mustache and beard.

"The pleasure is all mine, I am sure, Lady Ann. I am Fhalkon,"
Ladyanna smiled and nodded, "The pleasure is all mine! But its Ladyanna! All one word sir. It's an odd name and a bit confusing, I know, but you'll get used to it," she said cheerfully.
She noticed that Fhalkon's hands were covered dark berry juice and that his tail swept the ground lightly. Her thoughts travelled to a time in the past where she was playing with her brothers and she was it and had to catch them. She smiled softly as she missed them terribly and wanted to see them once more. It wasn't until her thoughts were interrupted when Fhalkon started talking.
"There is something strange about this place." She blinked when had said that, the only thing that was strange about this place was that there were tons of different creatures floating about here in Deep Forest.
"What is so strange about this place?" She asked
"Tell me, Lady Ann... Do you know if there have been any demons sighted in these woods?
Lady looked at him a bit nervous an bit her lip out of nervousness. "I'm sure there are a few here, some are even friendly, why do you ask?" She curiously wanted to know, because she wasn't sure if he was evil or not but didn't care at the moment because she just wanted to figure the answer to his questions.

Fhalkon barked a laugh at the suggestion that demons could be friendly, "That's just what they want you to think. Demons are vicious creatures--all of them." He noticed the purple stain on his fingers and wiped his hands on his pants before rubbing the pommel stone of the curved dagger sheathed on his left hip, settling into his monologue without giving the woman a chance to rebut.
"They use that 'friendliness' to trick you. Draw you in. Make you drop your guard. Then that's when they pounce!" His tail flicked in annoyance. It's probably a good thing he didn't notice it, because he might have ended up stabbing himself in the rear. "If they don't out-right rend you limb from limb and devour you, then they defile you... corrupt you..." His nose wrinkled in disgust at the thought of it.
The man turned again, motioning to the trees with a grand wave of his arm, "This forest--or something therein--seems to be doing the same. Defiling people, corrupting them." He motioned to his own back. "As I was approaching, I could feel something trying to pull something from my mind. I was able to banish it, but it had changed me." He sighed with a soft huff of indignation, "Unfortunately for it, I am too pure for this sort of corruption. It may have been trying to transform me into a demon, but I look more like an angel!" He spread his wings triumphantly.
"Except the tail. I don't know what's up with that." he added, with a murderous glare aimed at the offending fluffy appendage. It twitched back at him, as thought defending its right to be attached to his butt. He didn't seem to notice that he now had horns atop his head. If he had noticed them, he chose not to point them out.
"And, as you are at the forest and have also been corrupted with a tail." He motioned to the Lady's own black, bulb-tipped limb, "Then I suspect the forest, or a demon dwelling within, is using this as a base of operations to corrupt any who wander too close." He took a last, resolute, glance at the forest, "And now that I know the truth of the matter..." he finished, referring to Ladyanna's admission of the the presence of demons, "I swear I shall relieve this forest of its demon threat and free all the people here from its vile influence."

Lady was already confused, she may be a demon, but she was an all around nice person. Sure she has met some real nasty demons in her life time. But if it wasn't for her father's teachings, then she and her many brothers would be most likely end up on the wrong path. Then Fhalkon started talking about how Demons went about tricking people. Just because she was part demon didn't mean that she was a tricky person. "What about people who are only half demons what about them? Will you judge those as well on what they are" She asked.
"Unfortunately for it, I am too pure for this sort of corruption. It may have been trying to transform me into a demon, but I look more like an angel!"
Lady chuckled at that. "That you do," She said. Should she tell him now about what she was? Or should she wait for the right moment before spilling her guts out to him. He seemed friendly enough, just a little judgmental at first.
"Well I hope that you find the forest a most suitable place. I've lived for quite a while now. And its a wonderful place." She said, feeling like for some reason to defend her new found home. "And you can meet all kinds of wonderful people. I can even show you if you want!" She smiled at him, hoping that he would stop talking about how demons were evil and hoping that change of topic would cease the old conversation.

Half demons? Why was she so concerned about half demons? Fhalkon shot the woman another appraising glare, was she hiding something...? His eyes narrowed slightly, "Half demons, of course, are just as bad as full demons. The blood of a demon still runs through their veins and they are the product of a most sinful union." The tip of his tail twitched, as though annoyed. Wasn't that obvious? If the mother had been raped by a demon, she would not have allowed his spawn to live; so it had to be a consensual arrangement, which meant that the mother had been corrupted and there was no hope for the offspring. Either that, or it was the mother who was the demon, so there was no helping that.
Falcon nodded at the offer, "Yes, it would be easier for me than hunting them out." Forests were notorious for being able to conceal creatures--especially evil creatures who made it their home. It would be a lot quicker to locate the locals if he were shown to them.
But he had to be wary... the concern she showed for half demons... could she possibly not be human after all? If that were the case, he would not be able to give anyone here the benefit of the doubt! If she were leading him into a trap... well... it would be the last thing she would do, wicked demoness!

Lady placed her hands on her hips and sighed. 'What was it going to take for this person to realize that not every one is evil.' She thought to herself. She gave Fhalkon a dry look when he said, "Half demons, of course, are just as bad as full demons. The blood of a demon still runs through their veins and they are the product of a most sinful union."
She now folded her arms against her chest. 'How did he know that? Perhaps he had some bad experiences then?' She kept thinking about why he was so adamant about how demons were only purely evil. That wasn't fair for him to judge so.
"You shouldn't judge so quickly, what if one of your friends you've known for a long time were a demon eh? Then what? What would you do then?
Would you kill your own friend because he or she was, is a demon? I still think that it is wrong for you to judge someone though even though you have yet to meet them. Were you raised on thinking that every demon you meet was evil?" She only hoped that the creature would at least think about what she had said. Then hopefully he would change his mind on it. The key word, was hopefully.

Fhalkon shook his head, not stopping for even a second to consider the possibility, "I am not, never have been, and never will be friends with a demon of any sort." He stated shortly, sniffing in disgust. How absurd of an idea was that? Even if a demon managed to fool him long enough to pretend to befriend him, he wouldn't hesitate killing it upon discovering its true nature! Obviously, the entire relationship was a trick and a scam!
"As a matter of fact, I was raised being taught that every demon was evil and have yet to see evidence to the contrary." Nevermind the fact that he rarely gave any demon time to argue the case--and any so-called act-of-kindness performed by a demon was obviously a ruse to disguise their true nature in order to gain the trust of poor, unsuspecting innocents.
He sneered at her, tail twitching as his hand came to rest on his dagger's pommel, "Why are you so insistent on defending the vile creatures?" Perhaps she was in league with the demon corrupting this forest? It couldn't be her that was doing it, she was obviously too weak. But perhaps she was a demon in disguise, come to lead him to a trap? Her disguise wasn't very good--she couldn't even hide her tail properly! Perhaps she had been human and he was too late--she had been corrupted completely already! Or...
He squinted at her and drew his blade, pointing the pale silver knife at her face, "You have been possessed by a demon! I shall exorcise it and save your soul!" he declared. Of course! I was so obvious, how could he have missed it? The poor innocent, trapped there somewhere inside. No matter! He would soon fix this!
[[OoC: Just FYI, Fhalkon can't actually perform an exorcism, he only thinks he can XD]]

"I am not, never have been, and never will be friends with a demon of any sort."
Of course he hasn't, Lady told herself as she rolled her eyes at him. "What about humans? Would you be friends with a human?" She asked. She figured if this weird creature couldn't and didn't want to be friends with demons, then why not be friends with humans? Lady wasn't sure at how much longer it would take to for her to leave after listening to all of this. As this was definitely annoying her.
"As a matter of fact, I was raised being taught that every demon was evil and have yet to see evidence to the contrary."
Again Lady rolled her eyes at him and then looked up at him. So that was the only reason he didn't like demons because he was raised to not like them? Well that was stupid. She thought. "So..If you weren't raised to not like demons.." She worded carefully, "then would you become friends with one if you did like them?"
Then Fhalkon said that he would exorcise her. Lady gave him a dry look then face palmed her face. This guy just doesn't give up! She thought which annoyed her to no end. Flicking her tail back and forth in annoyance, she looked up at him once more. "What makes you think I'm a demon?"

Fhalkon's tail twitched and he cocked his head slightly, confused by the woman's question. Would he befriend a human? Of course he would! What kind of silly question was that. He sniffed and rolled his eyes, smirking to display for her the absolute absurdity of even needing to ask such a thing. "Of course I would! What do you think I am? All of my friends are human. I am human." He paused a moment to cast a glare at the offensive tail attached to his backside as it flipped in the dirt. "I am merely... currently afflicted." he explained. He would take care of this situation soon enough! By getting down to the source of this horrible curse and dispelling it for the entire forest!
Then she started in on some ridiculous hypothetical situation. What was with this woman? Rather than dignify the question with a response, Fhalkon made a big show of pointedly ignoring it, instead examining his drawn blade, turning it slowly so that the silver metal glinted blindingly in the sunlight. If only he had some holy water, he could throw it on her! Or perhaps use it to wash away the blight upon his own body. But, alas, he had had no choice but to drink it some number of days ago while lost in the wastes to avoid dehydration. He would have to concoct a batch once he had time... and located some water.
Finally, she seemed to give up on her silly "ifs" and asked why he thought she was a demon. He arched a pale eyebrow and gave her an appraising look-over, "I did not say that you were a demon, merely possessed by one. Unless, of course, I am currently speaking with the unholy occupant who has taken over this woman's body. In which case, I think you are a demon because you are a demon." Wasn't it obvious? "And in either case, I shall remove the demon from your body and free you! Hyaah!"
With that, he lunged towards her, dagger aiming for her face. However, he turned the blade away at the last moment, pulling his other hand out from his coat, a long, silver, cylindrical object held therein. In a fluid motion, he drew back the hand holding the bladed instrument and instead attempted to strike her lightly on the head with his flute.

"You are perfect," a dark, sandpaper toned voice rattled through the trees. Dalsh crouched at the edge of the forest, brushing the tips of his claws over a carcass of some large feline creature. As large as it was, it would have been a pity to just eat it and not put it to some use. Standing with a grin spread over his sharp toned face, the necromancer chuckled, spreading his hands outward and beginning to chant. His black eyes began to glow a deep purple, a red aura burned around his hands.
At the final word, the carcass began to move, pushing itself to its feet and shedding a bit of flesh in the process. In a matter of moments it stood before Dalsh, it's shoulder almost even with the quillirian's own. He walked around the corpse, running a hand over the loose and moldering flesh, smiling to himself. "Too late for preservation," he mumbled to himself, stopping beside the creature as it stood swaying stupidly. "Ahh, but you will be a momentary enjoyment," Dalsh chuckled, sinking his claws into the corpse's shoulder and pulling himself onto it's back.
Without even needing to make a sound, only but a thought, the decaying feline creature began to walk forward, entering the forest with Dalsh astride it's back. It was near that time that a sound reached his ears. The cat paused while Dalsh tilted his head, the large pointed ears catching the sound once again. Voices, a pair of them. They were some distance away, but curiosity took it's hold upon the necromancer.
Turning his new mount toward the sound, he urged it into a steady lope until the trees parted and his black eyes narrowed at an interesting sight. A strange horned and tailed creature appeared to either be attacking, or playing with another. Sliding from the cat's back, Dalsh willed it into the shadows behind a tree where it could stay out of the way unless the situation proved hostile. Tucking his arms into the sleeves of his robe and rolling his shoulders so the black fabric of his cloak fell over his frail form to better hide the true state of his skeletal body, Dalsh stepped nearer to the scene, observing silently with his head tilted slightly.
Parting his jaws slightly, Dalsh exposed the curved, scythe teeth that lay far too many in his maw. A long, forked grey tongue flicked out, tasting the magic in the air. He made no move to make himself known, though he was easily in view. Rather, he watched, enjoying in the entertainment.

Lady gave the demon a dry look and sighed. “Well in case you can’t see very well, I am also human too. Seriously though, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.” She said, reprimanding Fhalkon.
“Afflicted by what" She asked confused.
Again she gave him another dry look, but this time rolled her eyes. Eyes like saucers now, as he came at her quickly with a blade poised in his hands. Being stupid as she was at the moment, she held up her hands in defense because she wasn’t quick enough to move. She was actually slightly scared. Then something else happened that she didn’t see coming. Fhalkon suddenly lightly hit her on the head with…a flute? What the….? She lowered her hands as she tilted her head at him. What was he trying to pull? She narrowed her eyes at him and lightly growled.
“WHAT were you thinking?!” She shouted at him.
“You could have killed someone! Mainly Me! With your idiocy.” Freakin temper, she normally doesn’t have one. But he just went a little too far. She suddenly sensed something was there, but then dismissed it figuring that it was nothing to worry about. She turned her attention back to Fhalkon.
“As you can see, your little demonstration didn’t work.” She said in a huff.
