Cyborg Companion Puffles

Post by ZeroDrawn »

Name: Puffles

Species: Cyborg

Gender: Male

Alliance: Good

Age: 3

Mature Adult at Age: 0 (Was a mature adult from creation.)

Appearance (Primary Form): Puffles stands roughly seven feet tall and would appear to have the physical maturity of a healthy young adult. The shape and structure of the Cyborg's body is very similar to a human being, and were it not for some of his unusual features he would likely be considered a human being. Kept in good health and physically fit, Puffles is lean but not skinny, and has a solid amount of muscle definition, not quite to a body builder's extent but more of an athlete, most defined in his arms and legs. His skin is smooth and uniform throughout his body, blue like azurite. He has strands of dark blue hair, darker than his skin tone, which flow down the sides of his face and behind him, ending at about his middle back. The hair is not styled in any particular fashion, but is combed and kept clean. His facial features are soft and highly expressive, with slightly enlarged gentle cerulean colored eyes, a gradual nose, and a small mouth. He has slim hands with something of a feminine quality to the fingers, of which there are four and one thumb on each hand. The rest of his body was human like, a broadened chest and smooth stomach. At the base of his spine begins his tail, thick and strong in appearance, which extends about four and a half feet in length. It differs from the skin on the rest of his body in that it is scaled, and will shimmer when light hits it. He often keeps his tail curled around his waist, under his clothing, when he travels. Puffles has long, slender, muscled legs which end with humanoid feet, five toes each.

Fastened upon his forehead is a boomerang shaped tiara, embedded with three gems. Down the left wing of the tiara is a large red ruby, down the right wing is a green emerald, and across the center is a blue sapphire. Puffles wears a one piece, full body kimono / robe, colored a light sky blue, with additional light green stripes that run in an upside down V formation from the neckline to the sides and more light green along the seams, with wide loose sleeves. Past the midriff and towards the lower part of his body, the robe splits and flows backwards to drag some along the ground, similar to a trench coat. He wears a pair of modern light blue jeans to maintain modesty in light of the robe's split, but the jeans contrast a little oddly with the robe itself.

Appearance (Secondary Form): Puffles' secondary form is a teenage regression of his Primary Form. His features scale back in maturity to resemble that of a 16 year old human being, he loses the definition of his muscle mass but retains a lean, healthy appearance. He stands only five foot nine in this form, and his hair is a much lighter sky blue, tied into a thick ponytail. His eyes are smaller and their gentleness gives way to a more energetic, curious stare. Once thick and powerful, his tail becomes thinner and shorter, only extending about 3 feet in this form. The clothing he wears in his Primary Form change completely when he uses his Secondary Form. The tiara is replaced by a black bandanna tied around his head, red stripe patterns across it. His robe is substituted by a black loose fitting t-shirt, with the band logo of Ill Nino imprinted in white upon the chest. Dark blue shorts that cut off a bit above the knees adorn his lower half.

Personality: Ultimately, Puffles is a gentle, warm, caring, and highly affectionate being who is quite curious about nature and life around him. His defining characteristics in his primary form are his inquisitive nature, peaceful disposition, soft spoken warmth, and parental instinct. He has a soft spot for the young, children of any type or any species. He desires to interact with, guide, comfort, and protect them if he can. He enjoys learning about people and things, and is a very good listener. His loyalty to those he considers friends is ardent and steadfast, and he will go to any reasonable lengths to help those in need. Puffles is certainly not a shy creature, though this can work against him as it is possible for him to be too forthcoming, friendly, and forward when meeting some people, having the potential to scare them away. He is trying to adjust to more appropriate methods of making friends. He has a moderately deep, gentle voice, usually speaks softly.

His secondary form is something of a different matter. Though it retains Puffles good spirit and friendliness, his secondary form is much more energetic. He likes to play, roughhouse, go on adventures, has a mischievous trickster side, listen to rock and heavy metal music, play video games, woo pretty gals, and runs something of a rebellious streak. All in all, he is the very definition of a teenager fresh into the world ready to explore life when he's in this form. His voice is somewhat higher and louder than his Primary form - spoken with less discipline.

=Abilities=

Physical Attributes & Melee Combat: Puffles is a relatively strong individual, able to lift weights of up to 300 pounds with moderate effort. His tail is exceptionally strong akin to an elephant's trunk, and it is capable of pulling weights of up to 1200 pounds with considerable effort. The scales that line the tail are particulary tough, able to withstand a significant amount of blunt force trauma and piercing attacks. He has no particular martial art but is a competent hand to hand combatant and is quite agile when mixing his mental capabilities with his physical prowess.

Puffles' abilities are largely mental, telekinetic, and empathetic in nature.

IRON WILL - "I will not do that.": Puffles mind is very resilient, due in part to his loyal and steadfast nature but also due to his empathetic abilities. Because of this, Puffles is highly resistant to mind altering effects, such as charm, seduction, mind control, artificial fear, invasive telepathy, and other forms of mental persuasion or alteration of thought. If Puffles does manage to be taken under control by a supernatural force, his ability to dispel it depends on the actions he's being directed to perform. He cannot harm his Master without very necessary reason, attempts to force him to do so are absolutely futile unless doing so somehow preserves his master from a greater fate. Unwholesome actions taken against other people, such as anything from thievery to assault, are inherently repulsive to the cyborg.

TELEKENETIC - "Would you like me to move that for you?": Puffles is a potent telekinetic, and with force of will alone, can make objects move. He can push objects, pull them, levitate them, and make complex manipulations without touching them (such as entering commands into a computer or solving a rubiks cube.) He can manipulate objects as small as a peanut or as large as a huge boulder. He can also manipulate many objects at one time and control them differently if he wishes. He can also exert telekinetic forces over living creatures. I will get a player's permission before using this ability on other characters.

TELEPATHY - "Can you hear me?": Puffles can make use of telepathy to communicate with other creatures mentally, read their thoughts, or show them his thoughts. He is skilled and potent with this, however it is non-invasive and relies completely on consent. Puffles cannot access another persons mind without both having the permission of the player and having the IC consent of the character as well - if the character does not want Puffles inside their mind, he cannot enter, regardless of either parties willpower.

MIND BLAST - "You have given me a headache...but in good conscience, I cannot accept it, so I will give it back.": With strong and quick exertions of his telekinesis, he can emit waves of mental force that are destructive in nature, in that they will cause damage to and push away things they collide with. How much damage is done and how much force is applied depends on how much of his will Puffles directs to the attack. He can project specifically targeted blasts directed by his hands or can unleash a nova of mental energy all around him.

MIND SANCTUARY - "Do not be afraid...I will keep you safe here.": The epitome of his Telepathy is the Mind Sanctuary ability. Like his Telepathy, this skill cannot be used without both the player and the IC character's consent. Puffles will attempt to make a connection with another person, and invite them into his own mind. If they accept, Puffles draws the participant into his mind, essentially separating their mental existence from their body. The Mind Sanctuary is like a dream world. Puffles and the participant arrive as mental representations of their physical selves. Puffles can bend and change the Mind Sanctuary, so that it represents anything he or the participant wants. For instance, he could change it to an amusement park with rides, or the grand canyon, or a battlecruiser in outer space. Experiences such as hearing, sight, taste, touch, and smell are felt in their entirety by both Puffles and the participant. If you ate a hamburger in the Mind Sanctuary, you would be able to taste it, though it would not nutritionally sustain you.The Mind Sanctuary can be used as a form of pain suppression, as physical sensations in the real world are essentially negated while the sanctuary is active. If either participant is approaching death, they will have a sense of irrefutable, impending doom, warning them of something being amiss.

MENTAL BARRIER - "Mind over matter.": The Cyborg can create a protective barrier around himself or other living creatures. The Barrier is a precise application of his Telepathy, so that the target is surrounded by mental forces that push away from the recipient, in effect causing physical objects and physical people to be repelled upon attempting to get close. It is effective at diverting attacks and projectiles - for instance, swinging a sword at someone protected by the barrier would meet with the repellant forces that would force the blade off course and away from it's intended target. Projectiles such as bullets could be directed in a similar way - it's trajectory would be pushed as to cause it to veer off around the target. Especially high velocity projectiles, such as bullets fired from a sniper rifle or artillery / cannons, would go largely unaffected by the barrier. The protection can act as an explosive deterrent, shrapnel from a nearby explosion would be diverted away from the protected target.

The barrier subconsciously intensifies based on the situation. Situations which require reduced protection result in a low-maintence barrier, while situations of a greater intensity result in a fully powered barrier that is a significant stressor to maintain.

SONS OF FLAME - "I would like to introduce you to some friends of mine.": The three gems on Puffles' Tiara actually serve a functional purpose - they contain the essences of three inferno wolves, collectively called the Sons of Flame. At any time, Puffles may summon any one or all three of these wolves. The corresponding gem will fade to grey when the wolf is summoned and active To him, they are intelligent companions and valiant protectors, each with differing traits. In addition to summoning and desummoning the wolves, Puffles can command them to descend to their puppy forms. All three wolves communicate by breathing - their breath is carried towards the recipients and their voices are heard as if a passing wind.

All three wolves are relatively strong and agile, however they are tethered to Puffles' energy and become progressively weaker the further they are away from him. Thus they cannot stray too far from him.

Sygna Frostfire: The wolf born from the blue gem, he is the largest of the three and the pack leader. He is unnaturally large for a wolf, standing about seven feet tall on all four legs and a good deal of bulk, both muscle and furr, to his body. His furr is elaborately colored and patterned with various shades of blue and white. His form is constantly bathed in a blue inferno, the flames drift in the direction of his backside. This blaze intensifies when he is angry or excited, but reduces when he is calm. The blue wolf's tail is medium sized, and gives off the appearance of being covered in sharp icicles, but it is merely an illusion of the furr. His eyes are sharp, white, and pupiless when in his wolven form. His breath is chilly, and produces a light layer of frost on whatever it comes into contact with. Sygna is capable of freezing water and dousing flames just by touch. He can create ice on nonliving surfaces and can project blasts of Frostfire from his mouth, which first sears a target and then freezes it. Sygna's personality is serious, disciplined, and dominant in regards to his pack. However, he is not unfriendly, and shows a softer side with those he is comfortable with. His loyalty to Puffles is absolute, and will obey Puffles without hesitancy.

Sygna's puppy form is much smaller than his Wolven form, standing only a few feet off the ground akin to a small collie. The inferno is no longer present upon him, and he has greatly reduced bulk relative to his current size. He does not have access to any of his abilities in this form, although he can create small ice cubes if he breathes in and exhales deeply.

Naxxis Infernofury: The wolf born from the red gem, he is smaller than Sygna but still large at five and a half feet on all four legs, give or take. He does not have bulk like Sygna does, but instead carries a more lithe, slick, agile appearance. His features, like the pointedness of his ears, the distinct edged appearance created by his fur, and the thin, sharp gaze of his eyes make him out to be sly, snakelike character. His movements are twitchy and quick, reflexes always primed. Naxxis' inferno is a furious red, and it's more erratic as it drifts across his body, wisps of flame and sparks occasionally deviating from the flow. His eyes are orange-yellow, and are also pupilless. The tail of this wolf contrasts the edge appearance of his body by being large and very fluffy, much like a fox. Naxxis breathes out wispy trails of ash, which are prickly to the skin and smell of gunpowder. Naxxis can set things on fire by touching them, can evaporate water, and can empower his inferno to protect himself in a barrier of flame. Naxxis can also project fireballs from his maw. Naxxis is something of a suspicious, watchful, sneering character. He can also be arrogant and hotheaded, eager to engage in a fight. However, he is rivalrous in nature, he enjoys competition and challenge but does not actively seek to pick fights or hurt people. Naxxis can have an attitude, but his weakness are pretty females - around them, he becomes shy, bashful, and embarrassed.

Like Sygna's, Naxxis' puppy form is also smaller. He's about the size of a lapdog, with a big bushy tail that's actually larger than Naxxis himself in puppyform. He also loses access to his abilities and his inferno fades away, but he can make sparks to light highly flammable materials by barking.

Lunarl Lifeblaze: The wolf born from the green gem, she is roughly the same size as Naxxis, perhaps slightly bigger. It is interesting to note that being a part of the Sons of Flame, she is actually a female. Lunarl is similar to Puffles, in that she is moderately built with a lean and healthy appearance. Her features are smooth and graceful, built with a curvaceous figure appropriate for a female. There are white patterns across her furr, whirling winding lines that resemble vines and leaves. Lunarl's eyes are big and wide, a pupiless shade of yellow moonlight. Her inferno is more subdued than Sygna or Naxxis', it is less like a wreath of flame and more like a gentle stream across her body. Her tail is long and lively, usually kept in a constant wag to the tune of her happy personality. Lunarl is capable of encouraging quickened growth in fertile lands, healing minor and some moderate injuries, and emitting an aura of highly positive energy. She is consistently intelligent, friendly, and kind. She loves to meet new people, is highly desirous of affection, and especially likes having her furr petted as well as her ears and tail played with.

Lunarl's puppy form is the only one of the three that maintains the inferno - in her case, the lifestream. A big pink flower sprouts up atop her head, between her ears when she's in this form. As with the others, her abilities fade, but she can make simple flora sprout from grassy patches if she tries hard enough.

SECONDARY FORM- "Come on, let's do something fun!": Whenever he chooses, Puffles can change into his secondary form, something of a teenage version of himself. The secondary form carries with it changes in appearance and personality, but actually serves no notable advantage in an ability sense - all of Puffles' mental powers are essentially halved in this form, and he is not as physically strong as Puffles Primary form is. The Sons of Flame will remain active if he summons them before changing into this form, but he cannot resummon or desummon them unless he changes back to Primary Form. Puffles uses his secondary transformation purely for fun.

=Disadvantages=

Physical Disadvantages: While strong and an able bodied fighter, he is limited by stamina and will tire out if an encounter persists for too long or he sustains many injuries. The impact on his reserves of stamina is exponentially increased when he makes heavy use of both his physical and mental abilities - sustaining this can lead him to rapid exhaustion. The length and strain of an encounter is directly linked to how he chooses to, or is forced to, use his abilities. Against a single hand-to-hand combatant of equal skill, Puffles could brawl for a long period of time, fighting defensively. However, if the opponent is of sufficient skill, or utilizes attacks that Puffles is not familiar with and must take / dodge / defend against, the length of the battle becomes much more important. Factors such as if he is forced to use to mental abilities to protect someone or himself, the severity and depth of the injuries he's taking, and his will to fight all contribute to the level of fatigue he experiences. A no holds barred all out confrontation could tire him out very quickly, in a matter of minutes - however, if he is protecting the life of another invidiual, -especially- his Master Zero, he will fight far and beyond his natural limits. One who puts his life on the line for another suddenly finds that what held them back before is naught but a meer hurdle now.

This has steep penalties, including muscular damage, brain hemorrahging, heart strain, and reducing his immune response as well as his body's ability to clot and heal wounds. Though he may be able to fight well beyond a point where he would have otherwise stopped, he will do severe damage to himself in choosing this and will require emergency care or even succumb to death.

Tail: His tail is vastly superior in strength and durability to the rest of his body. Deriving power from muscle fibres woven together through the DNA of a very real dragon, the tail is highly resistant to blunt force, piercing, and magical trauma. However, utilizing such strength requires strength on Puffles part - it is tiring to make consistent use of the tail because of the nutrients and oxygen the body must supply to the circulatory and muscular systems of it. The unique intricacy with which the tail was crafted especially for him combined with it's natural resistance to magic means the appendage cannot easily be healed if damaged. Puffles' body can do little more than clot bleeding, actual healing processes would take many years because of the sheer amount of regeneration required. Only a very powerful practitioner of magic capable of piercing the resistance of the tail or a scientist with the technology necessary to understand the appendage could ever hope to heal it. Zero possess this technology, but only in his laboratory.

It would require Puffles to leave Deep Forest to get that kind of treatment.

Iron Will: Puffles is naturally resilient to cohercion, and very little can counteract this. However, he becomes more suceptible to supernatural forms of mind alteration as his stamina decreases. It takes an exertion of will to resist these forces, and if he's mentally exhausted he would not have the sense to pick up on attempts to control him. It is very possible for a mind manipulator to bend Puffles to their will if he's already got a lot on his mind - stressed, midbattle, the absence of his master, focusing on a specific high intensity mental task, ect.

MENTAL CAPACITY - TELEKENESIS: While Puffles has a range of mental powers, they all share in common a downside: They require concentration. Small tasks, like telekentically lifting small objects or sending simple telepathic messages are not difficult, and Puffles can maintain other activities while doing them. However, as the complexity or intensity of the mental task increases, so does the amount of focus Puffles must dedicate it. If he were to actually attempt to lift a huge boulder with his mind, he would need to dedicate his focus to the task, and not be distracted. Lifting many objects at once increases the difficulty exponentially relative to each object's size and weight. Performing complex tasks without touching the item (as the above mentioned rubiks cube or computer keypad) requires additional focus and prior knowledge of how the object actually works. Thus, while lifting a heavy object or performing a complex telekinetic task, Puffles cannot do anything else without relinquishing his mental hold, meaning that he is left vulnerable if he is unwilling to cease. Puffles' concentration can also be forcefully disrupted by hitting him, making extremely loud noises, or other distraction tactics. Finally, if Puffles spends too long or devotes too much energy to telekinetic tasks, he can become mentally fatigued and over time his abilities will diminish until he is able to rest & recover.

A small object that would be easy for Puffles to manipulate on it's own without being of insignificance would be something along the lines of a basketball, weighing around 30-40 pounds, of noncomplexity. A large object that would be at the most distant end of Puffles' limits would be something as large as a big shed or a garage, weighing 4000~ pounds. To lift something like this, Puffles would need to stand absolutely still with quiet all around him and concentrate. The movement would not be swift - inches of movement at a time. When finished, he would likely be exhausted and unable to perform additional mental tasks.

Puffles could lift ten drinks or ten hats and serve them to their patrons / place them on their hatwearers at the same time, but this would also require much concentration. Think of it as like performing two different repetitive motions using each of your hands and preventing them from reflexively syncing. If Puffles tried to lift four keys and insert them into four locks, it's likely he'd need to scope out each lock and do one at a time, as this requires much greater accuracy and precision.

The limit of his mental abilities is similar in effect to sprinting - he can use his abilities in powerful ways for short bursts of time but it will tucker him out. Likewise, if he holds a steady pace of ability usage on less intensive tasks, he can keep it up for an extended period, fathomably an hour or more.

TELEPATHY: Telepathy can also be a mental strain on Puffles. The farther away an intended recipient of his telepathy is, the more effort it requires. Puffles also must know the specific location of his intended target to use telepathy on them. He can emit a telepathic pulse that contains a message if he does not know the location of the recipient, but it will go unheard if the recipient is unaware of Puffles or unconsenting. Such is the largest barrier to his telepathy - the target must be fully consenting and open to Puffles in order for the Cyborg to make full use of this ability. A target which has not granted or denied consent yet can feel Puffles' desire for them to open their minds, but the moment they decide they do not want Puffles in their head, he is blocked completely and cannot even send mental messages to them.

Strictly based on his telepathy with no interfering factors, Puffles could send an uncomplex message (Help is needed at the Meadow) up to about two miles away. Factors that affect this are message complexity (Help is needed at the meadow, we have many injuries and there are creatures of darkness among us. Be wary, they are stationed around the pathways leading into the meadow for an ambush) which reduces the range and takes a greater toll on stamina; Mental state, such as stress or exhaustion; and Magical interference, such as someone attempting to warble Puffles' concentration with 'mental garbage' or 'white noise'.

Those with a strong emotional bond to Puffles extend his range to them significantly, with the epitome of this being Zero, whom which Puffles can communicate with from any distance.

MIND BLAST: The Mind Blast's great force is very draining on Puffles. It consumes the most energy of his abilities and can knock Puffles unconscious if he tries to create too many blasts in a short span of time. The more strength he puts into the Mind Blast, the more it will drain him. It is ability that must be used with great care - especially if he creates a mental nova. He can only do one of these, two if desperate, before the strain becomes too much to handle. The Mind Blast travels at a similar speed to fired projectiles (such as bullets) and can similarly be dodged in this respect. The trajectory of the mind blast cannot be changed by any means except through solid deflection. Range is directly tied to power, the most powerful Mind Blast can travel up to 2000 feet and could hit something with such force as to shatter bone. Low power Mind Blasts with the strength to knock someone over could be fired upwards of 30 times, while the most powerful mind blast with the aforementioned capability to shatter bones could be fired three or four times before exhaustion and brain damage became a reality.

The mental nova is an outward explosion of force that centers upon Puffles' entire body and pushes outward sphereically in every direction. It is a truly indiscriminate attack, and will affect friend and foe without prejudice. It is created instantly and only has one slightly variable strong level of power.

MENTAL BARRIER: The Mental Barrier is very effective at stopping physical assaults and projectiles. However, it is completely useless against things of a magical nature or energy based attacks. The Mental Barrier also utilizes all of Puffles' focus by default - regardless if he is protecting himself or someone else with the barrier, he is unable to do anything short of speak while it is active. The barrier can only protect one person at a time, and while it can be summoned instantly at first, changing it's protected target takes more time. It cannot exist indefinitely either, as repeated assaults will weaken Puffles' mind to the point where the barrier will collapse. The strength of the barrier, the amount of time it can be maintained, and the effects distance have on the barrier all depend on the situation at hand - levels of stress, risks involved, things at stake, person to be protected, prior activities in the day and the length of the battle as it presently stood. The strength and sustainability of the barrier weakens significantly the further the target is away, with a theoretical maximum of 150 feet and a lowest threshold barrier at that range.

MIND SANCTUARY: This follows similar restrictions as his Telepathy - it is completely consensual in nature, and has no effect if the target has not agreed to it. When the Mind Sanctuary is active, both Puffles and the recipient are detached from the real world - thus meaning they are both physically vulnerable and unable to act until the Sanctuary has been broken. The Sanctuary requires touch (simply a physical connection between something on Puffles' body to something on someone elses body, even clothing to clothing, will suffice) to be effective, and Puffles can maintain this touch even while his mind is inside the Sanctuary. However, if Puffles touch to the recipient is broken for any reason (even something as simple as a third party pushing his hand away), the Mind Sanctuary will dissolve and both parties will resume normal perception of reality. Loss of concentration on the part of Puffles does not break the sanctuary but can corrupt it's imagery for a short time. Once inside, only Puffles can choose to willfully end the sanctuary, however this is subject to the various wills and strengths of characters involved - just as Puffles can overcome his limits for a greater purpose, so too can people overcome Puffles' abilities. It is distant and unlikely that Puffles would ever used the ability in a way someone would not consent to.

SONS OF FLAME: Summoning and desummoning the sons of flame is effortless. However, maintaining their summon requires Puffles to give up his mental energy. It does not matter if only one wolf is summoned or if all three are, Puffles' mental powers are completely shut down when any of the Sons of Flame are active, meaning he cannot use any of his telekinesis, telepathy, and other mind abilities until they are desummoned, though he is able to continue interacting physically and communicating with no difficulty. As noted, the Wolves are essentially tethered to Puffles and cannot move more than 100FT away from him lest they become severely weakened.

Sygna Frostfire is noticeably weak to water. While small amounts don't bother him to much, if he gets stuck in the rain, covered in water, or submerged, the water will instantly freeze on his body, eventually weighing him down too much to move in the rain or freezing him solid inside a block of ice when underwater. It is not fatal for him to be frozen, but he is unable to defend himself when he is. His frostfire can sear skin and freeze things, but it's largely ineffective against armor and larger creatures. He can only fire a few Frostfire blasts at a time before he needs to recuperate.

Naxxis Infernofury's arrogance and hotheadedness can lead him to dive into a confrontation without thinking it through. Although he can set things on fire by touching them and shoot fireballs from his mouth, the larger and more protected an object is the longer he has to touch it to set it aflame, and his fire breathing can only be done in short stints, requiring rest. Naxxis does not have a very high threshold for pain, and causing moderate injury to him can diffuse his will to fight. He is extremely shy about females (with the exception of Lunarl), and against a female opponent will likely cower and withdraw in fear. His shyness to a specific female will diminish over time if he gets to know them.

Lunarl Lifeblaze is the least likely of the three to engage in any type of hostile situation. She prefers to avoid them and will attempt to move away from any negative encounter. Her healing abilities are limited to cuts, scrapes, bruises, light skeletal damage (like a broken finger), and things of this nature - she's usually exhausted after doing much healing of any kind. Serious or fatal injuries she is unable to heal, and can only try to stem bloodless or add slight haste to natural healing.

As noted, all three wolves lose most of their power and strength when in their puppy forms.

SECONDARY TRANSFORMATION: The strength and capacity of Puffles' mental powers is cut in half while he's using this form, and he can only use his Mental Barrier on himself while in this state. He also becomes more reckless and less disciplined - this can lead him into bad situations if things are poorly thought out.

Family: The only family Puffles really has is his master and creator, Zero Darius Drawn, as well as the Sons of Flame that he summons as companions.

===History===

Always proceeding forward in his scientific endeavors, the Nekojin boy scientist Zero Darius Drawn wanted to get his paws dirty with the creation of Artificial Lifeforms, much like his so-called rival, Doctor Gero, had already created. Using both the assistance of Miss Washuu and the natural scientific gifts he himself possessed, he went on to make his first artificial creation: Cyborg PC1100 (Prototype-Computerized). This was a design made completely of mechanical parts, there were no biological elements to it. Zero found that he was proud of his new creation, but the fact that it was only cold hard steel and possessed little in the way of emotions lead him to strive harder, to try again to create something new, something better.

Thus came along the creation of Cyborg PC8500 (Prototype-Computerized), a much more advanced entity, who was still completely metal, but was able to express emotions. Zero had thought he had gotten it right this time, however, the still predominantly computer-run mind of this creation lead it to express emotions to the most extremes and at inopportune times. (For instance, something as simple as being told it did a 'good job' on something would send it into a hyperactive frenzy, bouncing and jumping all over the place.) Zero had to then mark this one as another failed creation, and set out to try yet again.

His third attempt, Cyborg BPC16000 (Biological-Prototype-Computerized) , was a distinct mixture of both robotic and biological elements, creating a half-robot of sorts. While this one was a bit 'softer' than previous creations, it still had that flaw of possessing a predominantly computerized mind, except, in this case, it was more logic based, and when it realized that it's databank of knowledge was more efficient than Zero's normal mind, it set out to try and capture Zero, and to give him a similar databank. Unfortunately, he was forced to destroy this particular Cyborg, as he had no other choice. Losing almost all hope of creating something worthwhile, Washuu urged him to try again, and he decided to give it one more go.

The fourth try was a Cyborg named BGLE32000000 (Bio-Genetic-Living-Entity) of which he took very special focus in, this time with the intention to design a being that could live and interact with the world in a free manner. Instead of using a computer-centric design, this one was completely biological EXCEPT for the CPU chip that was a part of his living brain, used to increase and amplify mental/physical abilities. Working hard day and night for months straight, Zero was determined to make this one turn out right. He embedded the brain with electrical signals that translated into the basic memory, motor skills, personality, and all the other functions that would be needed for this being to survive. Along with those functions, he implemented very specific command structures, thought-processes that would ensure Puffles would never harm Zero, but would still be able to have a free will, opinion, and views of his own.

Finally, the day of unveiling came. With great expectation and anxiety, Zero activated his newest creation, starting up all it's vital processes and slowly bringing into the world as a living, breathing creature. He almost new right away that it was a success, when the Cyborg slowly sat up, looked around, and smiled at him. Zero found his smile to be particularly endearing, as it was gentle, and warm. He had created something beautiful here, as his heart and soul went into the production of this Cyborg, and it showed, especially compared to the last three, who were only experiments, nothing else.

Immediately letting the Cyborg out and introducing it to life, Zero found that the BGLE possessed a very gentle, curious, and inquisitive soul .He wanted to know and find out about everything, he wanted to explore, to touch, to smell, to hear, see, and taste whatever he could (apparent by the fact that when he first woke and got close to Zero, he would not stop licking him) . The Nekojin scientist knew this was special. This was far from being an experiment, and quickly, had become his guardian, servant, and companion. The Cyborg was always happy to serve Zero in whatever way the Neko wanted, not because of predefined programming, but because of the kindness of which Zero treated him with and his fascination with small furry things. Zero was definitely small, and definitely furry, so he checked out in the BGLE's eyes.

Thinking that the name BGLE32000000 was far too impersonal for his newfound friend, he decided to name him the first thing that came to mind, and that was Puffles. It wasn't really certain WHY he chose this name, but it has been the Cyborgs name ever since and seems to fit him quite well.

Zero has since made a significant alteration to Puffles, wherein he imbued the mechanic by which Puffles changes to his secondary form, to promote Puffles' enjoyment of life from a teenager's point of view.

Now Puffles arrives at Deep Forest as Zero requested, and hopes to gain entry into the forest to live with his creator in their new home.

Anything Else We Need to Know?:

IC (In Character) Entrance:

A faint glow became apparent in the horizon, and over time it became apparent that this glow was actually the jetstream of a one-person rocket module, shaped like a large pill of sorts, colored grey with translucent paneling so the occupant could see outside, whose destination was set for the edge of Deep Forest. Puffles was lying down inside the capsule, straight back with his arms folded over his chest. He did not need to pilot the device as it was controlled by autopilot, so he had decided upon starting the trip that he would simply snooze for the duration of it. Unfortunately, perhaps it would have been a better idea for the Cyborg to have been awake for this part of the journey, as the capsule was approaching it's destination and the autopilot was notoriously bad at smooth landings.

Landing zone approximated. Brace for impact.

The computer's voice had gone unnoticed by the softly snoring Puffles. He wouldn't sleep for much longer, however, as the capsuled sailed in a slant downwards direction and descended towards the ground at a high speed. Puffles' eyes fluttered open as the g-forces disturbed his nap, just in time to see a fast approaching boulder directly in the path of the ship.

"Oh...my."

This was all he could utter as the lower end of the ship slammed into the rock, which caused the module to lurch forward. This propelled Puffles against the translucent panes with enough force as to break right through them. He suddenly found himself sailing through the air, now shipless as the capsule had spun a few times and crashed into grounds behind him. He tried to make the flight graceful, spreading out his arms as if he were flying like that on purpose. Grace was not on the menu for tonight, however, as his bodily ascent shifted to a rapid descent and he slammed into the ground, tunneled through a mound of snow, hit an incline, and was tossed up into the air again. His hangtime was brief as he came back into contact with the ground and tumbled head over heels a few yards before he finally skidded to a halt, and fwumped down on his stomach, his robe ruffled up towards his head. His thick scaly tail drooped over his face, which was presently piled in snow. The seven foot tall cyborg looked a good bit smaller when he was covered in so much frost.

"Oh....m...my..."

His body twitched a bit, but he was too stunned to get up and could do nothing but lay there, not more than a hundred yards or so from the forests edge.

OOC: I had to think a little about how to respond ^^ Sorry

BIC:

Been a while since I had come here....

Steps silent and graceful, the trickling, melting icicles above decorating her back with little dark splotches, the soft blue creature moved smoothly from under the branches above, walking on without any care of what dropped against her coat. Small, beautiful flowers that otherwise would have been dead stood proudly in the strange winter-spring nature of Deep Forest, but the unicorn's hooves never once trampled on them. A few rays of sunlight escaped the forest roof, shining against her crystal-ice horn, but she didn't stop to take in the warmth; there was no time, and it was important to her that she walked onward. She did not flinch when a cold wind brushed against her. She unaffected by warmth or cold. The warmth felt good against her, but the cold gave her welcomed strength, and she enjoyed it while it lasted. For the cold had less time to live than the warmth. This made her different from the rest of her kind- very different indeed.

A leaf found itself blowing onto her eyes, and Simi snorted, surprised, before shaking her head to return her vision. This leaf was dead and dark brown, which must mean that she was very close to her destination.

~~~~~~~~~~
Only moments ago, Simi was only feeding happily on some good, healthy grass, when she heard a strange metallic crash that seemed so out of the ordinary that she was jumped out of her wits. Her first reaction was to cower under some low-hanging branches, but as her heart rate began to slow down gradually she felt the urge to see what had happened. What if someone was hurt? If she was the only one around who could help, then she might as well go see what was going on.
So, gathering all her courage, the blue unicorn had slinked out from under her hideout to inspect.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

I've made it.....

Now Simi was at the very edge of the Wastelands, and as she scanned the area her eyes held not only a strange spooked feeling of the bare, snow-covered place, but warm memories as well. It was here that she had met her first friend- Zero, a strange but funny black cat that walked upright like humans and wore their garments as well, but was very different from them, which made her glad. However, this time she was alone- alone with herself and the strange, mysterious noise that could have meant anything. It's alright, she told herself. If it is an enemy, you are fast. You are quick. If you wish it you can have the sharp beak of a phoenix. Don't quit now...

Simi took a long, deep breath, and as she exhaled she stepped forward and returned into the barren lands of the Forest's Edge, her beginning to race again with anxiety.

"H.... H-hello?"

She bit her lip and waited for some kind of a roar or dark, evil being to leap from out of nowhere, but when only silence greeted her she began to relax. Simi then took several more slow, cautious steps, waiting for any sign of life in need or life to flee from. "Hello," she called out, her voice again shaky but now less fearful. "Is anyone here...?" She waited, her ears pricked for any response, but nothing of the sort came. Perhaps I'm too far away......

And so, Simi walked on in the dead land, her head low and her eyes wide and alert. The snow crunched beneath her hooves at first, which caused her to feel a little jumpy.

The welcoming noises of the Deep Forest behind her were growing dimmer, but she continued to assure herself that it was still there, waiting for her if anything did happen. However, by now she didn't feel as strongly that urge to run back in. Now she was wrapped up in her search.

A strange smell then came to her, and Simi lifted her head to get a better taste of the scent. It was.... strange, metallic....... and somewhere in it.....

Human?

Simi felt her heart jump into her throat. The unicorn froze, past memories that had scarred her such a time ago throbbing. She began to look about her wildly, and it was then that she saw it.... she saw him.

A strange blue man was in the snow, and from the looks of it he had gotten himself there through hard impact. His ruffled, dark blue hair was spread everywhere about his head, and a huge, scaly tail was drooped over him. At this Simi felt a guilty relief in her. This man was not human.

However, he was still slammed in the snow, possibly unconcious- possibly hurt. Possibly....

Simi didn't finish the thought.

Breathing slowly, the unicorn walked up to the creature in such a way that showed she would not harm him, though she herself was still a little wary. She continued to walk until she was only a couple of feet away, and, awkwardly, she asked, "Are you alright?"

===OOC===
No problem! :D Puffles' spoken text will be white instead of Cyan.

===IC===

A lone three story house stood perched atop a hill, surrounded on all sides and as far as the eye could see by a bumpy grassland. The ground was made lively by a vibrant array of wildflowers, ranging all colours of the rainbow, all different shapes and sizes. Land had been cultivated near the base of the homestead, where the flora grew most plentiful as it had been tended to by an able greenthumb. The sky was a clear blue, and the house's translucent window panes shined with bright golden glows as sunlight reflected off them. A perfect picture, the serenity and beauty of which was normally only found in story books or fairy tales.

A black Nekojin, who stood the height and bore the kittenlike features befitting a child of his kind, ran with much vigor and excitement up the hill towards the front door of the house. A tall figure, with the face and features of a man but skin azure and tail more appropriate to a dragon, followed. He shared the Nekojin's excitement, but also held that emotion with expectancy in his soft blue eyes. There was a surprise for him, waiting in that house. He wanted to know what it was, for he loved surprises, as anyone in their right mind did. The cat had been building anticipation for the moment soon to come, but had not yet revealed what it was he had in store for the blue creature.

Zero skidded to a halt at the doorstep and turned to Puffles, a big grin plastered on his little face. The Cyborg stopped a few paces short of Zero and seemed to fidget. The delay, the suspense...it was killing him! He could not wait much longer, oh how he wished his Master would not stop now. Zero giggled softly, and turned back to the door, opened it, and dashed inside. Puffles followed quickly, having to duck down as his height exceeded the clearance allowed by the doorway, and shut the door behind him having mind enough not to slam it. He had arrived in the living room, with it's white walls, light blue carpet, elongated grey sofa with a brown coffee table that sat in front of it, a big screen television against the far wall. Just ahead and to Puffles' left there were staircases. One lead down and halted abruptly at a large metal door with a big valve handle. The other lead up to a path with two wooden doors on each side of the hall. Across the living room, in Puffles' line of sight, was an archway that lead into the kitchen, with a wall directly adjacent to it that had been cut away to make room for something of a bar where people could sit on the living room side and be served drinks from the kitchen side.

"No! Hey! Quit lickin meh! Hold still! Gyak! You lil rascal! C'mere! Stop lickinnnggg!", came the sound of a bright, spirited voice. Zero was in the kitchen...apparently having trouble with something that licked him. Was it the gift Puffles had been promised? A rascal, was it? Puffles had never thought of a gift that could lick things. "Puff, close yer eyes!" The Cyborg did as instructed and shut his eyes as tight as he could. How badly he wanted to see what Zero had for him, but he would accept his present in the way his Master intended. The cyborg's ears twitched a bit as he heard the Nekojin's footsteps from the tiled kitchen floor to the carpeted living room. But he also heard something else. It was a funny noise...one may have described it as...owrping? Owr...yip! Yipping! That was a good description for it, Puffles thought.

"Are you alright?"

That was strange...Puffles could have sworn he heard a female voice. It sounded distant, though. Maybe he had just imagined it?

"Okay! Open 'em wide!" There was not a moment's hesitation as Puffles' eyes snapped open and he was greeted by...a creature! Clutched between Zero's paws and held out to the Cyborg was a little thing, even littler than Zero himself was. It was blue, kind of like Puffles himself, but it was covered in furr. Puffles noticed that it's furr was almost like a painting, with sharp lines of white mixed in with lighter and darker shades of blue. It had tall, triangular-dome shaped little ears, and white energetic eyes with black pupils. It had four little legs, clawed paws and clawed feet which dangled in the air. Particular attention was drawn to it's tail which was presently swinging side to side like a quick little pendulum. It had shoots of sharp-looking fur that jutted out at length from the appendage, almost like icicles.

"Go on, take him!" Puffles reached out and grasped the little animal beneath it's front legs. Puffles had hoped to better inspect the animal by bringing it close to his face, but things did not go as planned. For the moment the little thing was in range, it assaulted Puffles with an unreleting barrage of happy licks. Puffles laughed, the rapid strokes of the little one's tongue leaving his face tickled and dampened.

Zero grinned widely as Puffles inquired with a question. "Master Zero...what exactly is this? Is it a Rascal, as you called it?", to which Zero responded, "It's called a dog, Puff!" The cyborg blinked a few times, and held the animal high above him. The 'dog' seemd slightly disappointed, as it no longer had a face it could lick, but it's tail continued to wag regardless. "Do yeh like 'em, huhhh? I think he likes you!" Puffles was silent for a time, before a huge smile crossed his face. He brought the animal back down, and hugged it close to his shoulder. The puppy besieged his cheek with another barrage of licks.

"I love dogs!", said the Cyborg aloud. Puffles braced his hands against the ground and pushed himself up from the snow with such force that it sent frost everywhere. He leaned back on his knees and looked around excitedly for a moment, before excitement became confusion, and confusion faded to realization. He had been dreaming. Apparently the impact had knocked him unconscious...yes, he remembered it now. The capsule...the boulder...the crash...the flight...the snow...the crystal horned four legged creature with the delicately colored coat..the---

"What!?"

He suddenly forced himself to his feet and backed a few paces away from the mare. He stood at his full height now and looked a bit of a ruffled mess, with his hair strewn about his face haphazardly and his robe in disarray. His eyes were wide and alive, but they also teemed with fear. But it was not fear of the Unicorn. No, it was her presence and what that could mean for anyone else that was out there. He had thought this place was a desolate wasteland...

"Oh no! I did not realize anything was living out here! I should not have napped! Are you hurt!? Has anyone else been harmed? Medical attention...is it urgent!?"

Puffles had been thrown from the capsule...but the device was large and heavy. It had been careless of him to sleep on his trip, but he had believed that his path was clear till the forest. Had it hit someone on it's crash course? If there had been injuries, Puffles needed to know now. Perhaps it might have been paranoid for him to think so dire of the situation, but catastrophic events usually brought with them similarly catastrophic thoughts. He looked at her and awaited a response, a guilted and worrisome expression painted across his face.

"I love dogs!"

Simi snorted and stepped one foot back, startled at this sudden outburst. She watched with nervously flicking ears as the blue creature pushed himself up, frost flying from his force and hitting her front knees like tiny snow bullets. She took another backward step. As innocent as his words seemed, they immediately made Simi even more wary. She, too, knew what dogs were, and she certainly didn't love them. The dogs she knew loved nothing about her but the thrill of the hunt. And still, she could sometimes hear their faint bellowing echoes as they searched for her death...

However, the echoes quickly faded away, and her eyes focused again on the strange man before her; so much like man, and yet, so unlike him. Though his very humanlike appearance made a part of her want to nervously slink away, something held her back. But she didn't know what...

At first the tailed man looked around with excitement in his eyes, but when he did not see what he was looking for, the innocent joy on his face faded. The sight made the unicorn feel a pang of sadness, and she knew that whatever the man was looking for that gave him such joy was not here. And, her wariness dulled and her concern rediscovered, she stepped forward in such a way that showed she meant no harm. Ironic, much? I'm trying to show a human that I'm no threat... But he's not really a human, is he?

"Who-"

"What!?" The man suddenly blurted in alarm.

"What??" Simi retraced her steps, surprised at this reaction. "What is it?"

The tailed man backed away and stood to his full height, and as he rose up Simi blinked in intimidation, the blue human's shadow engulfing her where she was. "Oh..." Her ears lay flat against her head, and she felt the sudden need to stand in a more balanced position.

His eyes, dark blue, were wide with alarm, and for a moment Simi almost thought that he was afraid of her. As she waited for him to speak, the blue mare prepared to shyly walk back into the forest before he panicked, but it was then that the tall man finally said, "Oh no! I did not realize anything was living out here! I should not have napped! Are you hurt!? Has anyone else been harmed? Medical attention...is it urgent!?"

And it was then that she felt quite stupid. He wasn't afraid of her all... he was merely worried.

However, she felt deeply relieved as well. This man spoke to her- he was concerned about her, respectful. He would not harm her. But some words confused Simi. Medical.... Fighting her timidness- for he was quite tall, and new- she forced herself to respond.

"N...No one has been harmed. You have no need to worry about that. And... no one lives here." She gave a small, shy smile. "I heard a crash, and I wanted to know if you were alright...." The blue unicorn then added, "are you? Alright, I mean."

Puffles sudden movements and outbursts had seemed to unnerve the Unicorn, to the point where it looked like she wanted to leave. But Puffles needed to know, for if he had harmed someone...

"N...No one has been harmed. You have no need to worry about that. And... no one lives here." Upon hearing this, the cyborg took in a deep breath and let out a long sigh. It was relieving to know that he could still walk into Deep Forest as a friendly visitor as opposed to an offender who had harmed it's residents / travelers. If he had been denied the chance to locate his master...Puffles did not want to think of that. The Unicorn presented Puffles with a small, shy smile and began to speak again. "I heard a crash, and I wanted to know if you were alright...." Puffles blinked a few times, and looked down at his body, now aware of his disheveled appearance. "are you? Alright, I mean."

He looked back up again, and smiled. She seemed more concerned for his own state of being rather than the noisy mess he made coming in here. This made him glad...it was wise to get off on the right foot regarding places and people you were stranger to, after all.

Puffles inhaled deeply, and spoke. His voice was now under control; softspoken but loud enough to hear. "Yes, yes I am fine. The impact was rough, and the capsule is likely unusable at this point. But I am in good health. Conviently placed piles of snow made my rough landing a little more bearable."

With this, he closed his eyes momentarily and took in another deep breath. A slight, barely noticeable ripple in the air borne of mental energy started at his head and traveled down his body. As it did, his hair untangled, untwined, and fell neatly into place while his robe was unfurled and the wrinkles smoothed flat. When his appearance was in order, his thick scaley tail curled about his waist, now obscured by the robe.

He then approached the Unicorn with a steady but not sudden movement. His eyes were affixed to her and though he believed her when she said she was not harmed, he made a quick pass of her form to ensure that she was definitely not injured. He blinked, and his eyes made yet another pass. And a third time. Each time he looked the Unicorn over, his brow furrowed and he seemed to be trying to remember something. What were they called...?, he thought to himself.. A creature like the one that stood before him...Horses! That's it! It had been so long since he had last seen a horse that his memory of them had temporarily eluded him. For a moment, he looked upon her with recognition, assured of what she was...until he noted her horn, and he frowned. Horses did not have horns, that he was sure of. But what did have horns? Goats had horns...but she could not have been a goat. They were cute and appealing in their own way, but he had never seen a goat that displayed such grace and beauty, nor with horns of crystal. Especially not any that could communicate via spoken language. A Rhinocerus? They had horns too...but they were much larger, lumbering creatures.

Puffles sighed softly and shook his head as he decided that the best way to figure out what she was was to simply ask her. If he was significantly taller than her, he would kneel down or otherwise crouch in a manner to lessen the height difference. "I am truly sorry if my arrival has frightened or disturbed you in any way. It had not been my intention to arrive as a troublemaker, but merely as a humbled guest." Some of his hair slid across his face and he lightly brushed it aside. "I do not wish to deviate from the matter at hand, but my curiousity is overwhelming. I have never witnessed a creature quite like yourself before, though I have seen some with certain similarities. If your displeasure with my turbulent intrusion is not too great... He paused briefly. "...then would you mind telling me what exactly you are?"

Simi continued to gaze at the man, her eyes warm but wondering at his strange form.

"I am truly sorry if my arrival has frightened or disturbed you in any way," he then spoke, his voice gentle and soothing to the blue mare. This especially made the situation even more peculiar to her. When was the last time that a human creature of any sort had seemed safe to her of all beings? "It had not been my intention to arrive as a troublemaker, but merely as a humbled guest." Some dark blue hair flowed across his face, but was brushed aside with his hand. "I do not wish to deviate from the matter at hand, but my curiousity is overwhelming. I have never witnessed a creature quite like yourself before, though I have seen some with certain similarities..."

Horse, Simi thought with some humor. It must be a horse he's talking about....

"If your displeasure with my turbulent intrusion is not too great... He paused briefly. "...then would you mind telling me what exactly you are?"

"I am what you call, a unicorn," Simi said in a lighthearted manner to show that she was not offended. "My name's Simi... and may I who you are, as well? And... I'm sorry to say that I do not know what you are, either."

"I am what you call, a unicorn,"

Puffles blinked a few times, and gazed towards the sky with a thoughtful expression.

"Unicorn? Uni...corn." There was a faint glimmer of unnatural light in the corner of his eyes while something was going on inside his head. "Uni...one. Corn...cornus...horn. One horn. That makes perfect sense!", he exclaimed a little over-excitedly, but receded back to a warm smile and a calm disposition. "My name's Simi... and may I ask who you are, as well? And... I'm sorry to say that I do not know what you are, either."

"Ahhh, Simi the Unicorn...I like your name. It is simple yet pleasant to say and to hear. As for myself, my name is Pu---" He froze for a moment and turned his gaze to the side, another thoughtful expression on his face. Simi was the first nonhuman person that he had met in a long time, excluding his Master and his Master's house mates, and he felt it might be more appropriate to make his introduction...unique. Something of a mischievous but good-intentioned smile crossed his face, and he took a few steps away from Simi.

"You want to know my name? Very well. My name is..." Slowly he bent down and set his right palm flat against the ground, while holding his left hand high above him. Bending his knees until he was crouched low with his muscles tensed, he brought his upper hand down in a sweeping motion. Quickly he closed his eyes, and sprung upwards while at the same time firing a blast of telekinetic energy into the ground that sent snow in all directions and gave his jump extra propulsion.

The airborne snow did not get very far, for as Puffles ascended into the sky he captured the mass with the power of his thought and unified it into a single "stream", like the rush of snow wind in a blizzard. Puffles began to spin like a top as his ascension continued and the snowstream tornadoed around his body, matching his rise. His apex was reached at 40 feet in the air, and he plummeted back towards the ground, the snowstream having reversed the direction of it's spiral and followed him. The snow crashed into the ground around him but he landed skillfully, bent low, and shot off the ground, throwing his weight in reverse for a backflip before he he hit the ground again, skidded backwards a few feet, and called out his vigorous introduction. "...Puffles, the Cyborg Companion!" He then struck something of a cheesy pose; a victorious fist held in the air whilst he jutted a thumb at himself and winked, grinning. His tail swung from side to side and lashed at the snow behind him with each pass. Master Zero had always told him to try and be more lively, so...he tried!

OOC: So, so, sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sorry!!!!!!!!!!!! My school's terrible! Homework on the first day and a flood of assignments from then on, but it's no excuse for neglecting the rp for so long!!!!

BIC:

As the blue man leapt high into the air, blasts of energy sprouting from his leap, Simi reared back not in fear, but mostly in pleasant surprise. In the amazing action she sensed playfulness, and therefore she went along with it.

Snow affected by the energy pelted towards her, but before it could splash against her hooves it suddenly swerved away, uniting into one stream of blizzard that then swirled up with the man, dancing around him and causing him to spin like a fallen acorn. He continued this dance until he was fairly a dark blue speck in a pale blue sky, and there, he began to descend. As he glided down his speed increased, the snow spiraling after him loyally, and as the snow died once again into it's original place as it crashed back into the ground, the blue man landed skillfully and made a magnificent backflip, landing back on his feet and skidding backwards a little before calling out, "...Puffles, the Cyborg Companion!" His tail swung from side to side, and he pointed his thumb at himself, winking once and grinning blissfully.

Simi's eyes shone with amazement, but even as she shook her mane with the thrill of it all she couldn't help but to feel that something about him- Puffles- was familiar. Not in his form, but his essence. The one thing that replayed in her mind for a brief moment was the way that he grinned so innocently... she brushed it off, however. Now was not the time for such pondering.

"A very good show, Puffles!!!" She exclaimed as she trotted towards him eagerly. "And it's very nice to meet you!" Puffles, hmm? She thought curiously. What an interesting name.

Puffles had a strong, satisfied smile on his face as he noticed the impressed gaze she held in her eyes. His tail 'wagged' a little faster, sending bits of snow flying off to either side rapidly.

"A very good show, Puffles!!!"

With this his tail gave a strong THUMP against the ground, plating itself firmly in snow before it lifted up again and curled around Puffles' waist. He bowed low with a bit of a flourish and appreciatively to her, still smiling bright.

"And it's very nice to meet you!"

This seemed to make him even happier, as he had already had a few problems meeting people considering his appearance and his usual forwardedness; add to that the nature of his catastrophic entrance didn't make things any better. But Simi seemed not to mind, and had instead taken his little show as an indicator that he was someone worth talking to.

"I am very glad to hear that, Miss Simi, and am equally just as elated to have met you, even under my clumsy circumstance. My Master will be proud to know that I did not make you run screaming in fear!"

He said this as if it weren't a strange thing at all, and indeed, it did seem to happen to him relatively often. But it wasn't time to dwell on such things, for he had made a new friend and his attention was to be focused on her. However, one thing did push to the forefront of his mind...his Master, who had called him here with a burst of energy that contained a spiritual message for him. He deviated from their introductions for a moment to ask Simi of their location, so that he could be sure he made it to the right place.

"Miss Simi...I would like to know if that treeline which is visible from here is Deep Forest? The one that permits cats into it's borders." He added that bit in just in case there was more than one Deep Forest, as he wanted the one with cats in it. Specifically, his Master. "For that is the place I am hoping to arrive to, as I have been instructed to do. I would be quite embarrased if I had gone through this wrecking buisness only to be in the wrong location."

He lightly tapped his chin with a finger, peering beyond Simi to the obscuring treeline, wondering if he'd be able to spot anything to make a conclusion by. But he saw nothing, so he merely waited for an answer.

Puffles thumped his tail on the ground, pleased, before curling it around his waist and giving a low, cheerful bow. Simi giggled a little at the innocence of it, but the cyborg companian's actions had tapped at a memory in her that was just out of Simi's reach, and it was getting almost frustrating. Still, she shouldn't let this bother her right now, when she was with someone, and she focused her attention on Puffles, again.

"I am very glad to hear that, Miss Simi," the cyborg spoke, "and am equally just as elated to have met you, even under my clumsy circumstance. My Master will be proud to know that I did not make you run screaming in fear!"

My.... Master?

This seemed especially odd to Simi. She had seen animals who called their humans masters. But to think that this one, so superior to the humans that she had known.... he had a master? Who could this master be....?

Her pondering was interrupted when Puffles spoke again. "Miss Simi...I would like to know if that treeline which is visible from here is Deep Forest? The one that permits cats into it's borders....'

At this Simi's eyes opened, surprised. I thought he liked dogs?

"...For that is the place I am hoping to arrive to, as I have been instructed to do. I would be quite embarrased if I had gone through this wrecking buisness only to be in the wrong location." He lightly tapped his finger to chin, looking thoughtful.

But the mention of cats was especially surprising. There was only one cat she knew well, and that was...

It was then that it had dawned on her, finally. Zero! Of course! The playful black cat was who Puffle's characteristics had reminded her of all this time, and his mentioning of cats had given her that last pull to connect it all. However, she didn't think about the triumph for long. You're wandering, again!

"O-oh, I'm sorry, Puffles," she spoke apologetically. "I believe you have reached the right place if your goal was Deep Forest. We are now in the Wastelands, the border of it. And I can assure you that it allows cats," she added in a playful tone, remembering how it had allowed Zero. She then wondered hopefully if Puffles might know him... if Zero was the cat he was talking about. It seemed like a far fetched idea, however.

Once Puffles had asked his question of Simi, she was silent for a time. Perhaps she was not sure if this was Deep Forest, or perhaps not sure if this was the specific one that permitted cats. He wouldn't blame her if she didn't know - for all Puffles could gather, Simi may have been just as new to these lands as he was. Which would have been fine with him, as exploring unfamiliar places was always more exciting when you had a traveling companion with which to do it. He was about to speak up and assure her that it was okay if she didn't know, but that is when she spoke.

"O-oh, I'm sorry, Puffles," she said apologetically. This made Puffles blink a bit, and he briefly believed that he was correct in his assumption. However, this belief was abolished as she continued her stream of speech. "I believe you have reached the right place if your goal was Deep Forest. We are now in the Wastelands, the border of it. And I can assure you that it allows cats,"

Puffles blinked again and he breathed in and out softly for a moment, before he began speaking again. "Miss Simi...you apologize to me as if there is something amiss yet you go on to confirm to me that I am in the place I wish to be in...is there something I am not seeing here? Is this a forest that allows cats but not their cyrborg companions? Perhaps...is it against the notion of artificial life within it's walls?"

He was a little confused. Puffles was still getting used to social interactions with people and thus could be prone to misinterpreting things, even small ones as he was highly observant of body languages and mood. In this case, it seemed that Simi was both happy and sorry that he had arrived at the place he intended to go.

A slightly paranoiac thought entered his head - maybe there was something wrong with Deep Forest? Perhaps something bad had happened there? He looked fearful, for even the mere thought of harm befalling his Master unnerved him quite a bit. But then he realized her voice was also very playful, spirited...he sighed slightly and scratched tapped the tiara on his forehead. He offhandedly wondered if his state of confusion would be the thing to drive her away - perhaps she would be annoyed by his inability to interpret what might otherwise have been so simple for someone else.

The unicorn watched as Puffles blinked, seemingly confused.

Simi pulled her head back and tipped at an angle, a little confused. Her apology had been for mentally drifting off, but...

What did he mean by 'artificial life'? There was only life, and death.... what was 'artificial' supposed to mean? Was the life in him different, somehow, from the life in others? She grew confused a little, and troubled in some way.

The blue cyborg then sighed, scratching the strange form on his forehead thoughtfully. His eyes held faint worry.

"Are you alright?" Simi then asked, feeling the need to ask it. "I... was apologizing for taking too long to answer you is all, there's nothing to worry about, here."

Puffles noted that Simi seemed confused, and something in her mood changed a little bit. He wouldn't be able to tell exactly what caused this, however, as the concept of being artificial life was completely normal to him, and he assumed everyone else also understood it.

"Are you alright?", Simi asked, and to this Puffles blinked a few times. "I... was apologizing for taking too long to answer you is all, there's nothing to worry about, here." A tender smile came about his face, and he relaxed his body somewhat upon hearing this. He kept his gaze focused towards Deep Forest, but spoke to Simi while doing so.

"I am alright...in the sense of being healthy. I seemed to have misunderstood you, for I had come to believe something was wrong with the forest. And though your words of reassurance are valuable to me, as they do calm some of my fears, there are others that cannot be calmed in this way. I do not wish to seem inconsiderate of your presence, for it would be my wish to devote to you some of my time, to familiarize myself with you. For this is how friendships begin...but..."

His gaze never wavered from the forest, his cerulean eyes watchful and unblinking.

"...but I cannot push the thought of my master out of my mind. I have not seen him in quite a few weeks, and this place, Deep Forest, whilst I understand it to be a sanctuary for it's inhabitants, is also unfamiliar territory for my Master. He is not well attuned to living amongst that which is not somehow mechanical or technological in nature, and I wonder if he can find the means to survive without these things...and being so small in stature as he is, I fear that potential predators will scope him out as a vulnerable target...his innocence belies the immense power that sleeps, hidden beneath him, but he is not apt to bring harm to any creature unless he absolutely must. It is my duty to stand beside him as his guardian and protector...and when I am unable to do this, I become worried, paranoid, disheveled, saddened. I hope you can understand these things and forgive me for my rudeness in not displaying appropriate friendship to you."

He lifted an arm slowly, and reached out towards the forest. His fingers seemed to be grasping, clasping at the air, but whatever it is they were trying to grab elluded him, and so they continued to hold nothing at all.

OOC: ................... Forgive me .-.

BIC:

As Puffles finished his concerned speech, and his hand reached out to grasp something unknown to hearts other than his, Simi found herself following his arm with her eyes, touched and saddened by the blue cyborg companion and the bond he shared with his mysterious master. She could see it- this bond was very strong, much stronger than that of a dog and his human. This was an actual bond. Swallowing, she lowered her head slightly, allowing her turquoise bangs to fall over her closing eyelids. She stood quietly in thought, replaying Puffles's words in her head, the emotions in his voice, and doing so gave greater feelings of empathy for her.

To have a bond such as this was something unknown to her. Never in Simi's life had she shared such a bond with anyone. Her mother, perhaps... but to one unrelated to her... To be so determined to always be at their side, ready to do what was needed for their well-being...

She envied such a bond.

Taking a deep breath, the unicorn turned to the cyborg again, her violet eyes making contact with his bright blue gaze. "Puffles, I promise you that I will do everything in my power to help you find your master. If you can give me a description of him, or anything else, I will take in all information that you are willing to give." She meant every word.

===OOC===

Goodness sakes, I guess we've all got these nasty busy streaks taking up our lives. You're long forgiven, I only hope you can do the same for me. I love this stuff, I'd be sad to see it fade away...so I hope it does not.

===IC===

"Puffles, I promise you that I will do everything in my power to help you find your master. If you can give me a description of him, or anything else, I will take in all information that you are willing to give."

Puffles was silent for a time and offered no response whether it be sound or movement. He continued to grasp at the air...his eyes were locked in the direction of the forest, and though he tried so hard to see beyond it's border, it stood that he continued to see nothing but a barrier of trees. Somehow he knew that even if he got close to the forest, he would not be able to step or see inside...how he knew this, he wasn't sure but he did not deny the truth in it. The tall blue cyborg sighed softly, before he lowered his arm and turned to look towards Simi again. His eyes were closed amongst a peaceful expression on his face, and a soft smile crossed his features.

"The mere thought of his visage fills me with positivity...it is through his happiness and safety that I too can feel happy and safe."

His eyes slid open slowly, and he nodded at Simi.

"A description is the most useful thing I can grant you at the moment, for I do not have any corporal images of him on my person. What use is there for such things when your heart can envision them vividly and with life, while a picture is simply still?"

Puffles chuckled softly, realizing he was getting dramatic and proceeding to the point.

"It has come to my realization that my stature is unusual in it's size, at least amongst humans. My Master too holds an unusual stature, though opposite of my own. Though he is convinced he will grow to be a towering behemoth one day, I'm afraid he's simply in denial of the fact he is, and always will be, vertically challenged. A very short individual."

Puffles lightly scratched his chin, holding his hand at a height roughly approximating about four feet four inches or so.

"His appearance is also apt to bring stares from those unused to his kind. For he does not share resemblance with the humans we lived around, but is rather more akin to a feline. Similar, but not quite the same. For he is a feline who walks upright as the humanoids do, and as I do. Evidence to his feline features are primarily the black furr that covers his body from top to bottom, tall triangular white tipped ears, blue oculars that may be seen to shine in the dark, the white whiskers that sprout from his face, his clawed rather than nailed hands and hindfeet, and the long, lively balancing appendage which sprouts from his behind. A tail, though it is smaller than my own, has plenty of personality to make up for it. And though he differs so much from the humans in appearance, he wears their attire, though I could not say for sure what he would be wearing at this moment. "

Puffles traced circles in the air with his finger.

"His physical form is very youthful, and because of his size he's often mistaken for a child. His speaking dialect does not help matters, unfortunately, as he is apt to mispronounce words and blend them together or completely make them up. He is young in age, twenty years old, but no child."

His gaze shifted towards the sky and he was smiling again.

"Perhaps that description was long winded...too much unnecessary information. I believe though you have gotten the important gist of it, and I hope that should you see him you would inform him of my presence at these woods."

His hands folded behind his back, and he continued to look into the sky.

Though he is convinced he will grow to be a towering behemoth one day, I'm afraid he's simply in denial of the fact he is, and always will be, vertically challenged. A very short individual."

Simi couldn't help but to giggle at that, but she stopped herself quickly, wanting to stay polite- and alert so she didn't miss anything.

"His appearance is also apt to bring stares from those unused to his kind. For he does not share resemblance with the humans we lived around, but is rather more akin to a feline."

At this, however, Simi especially pricked her ears. Feline, cat, human. Cat human....

"... Similar, but not quite the same," Puffles continued. "For he is a feline who walks upright as the humanoids do, and as I do. Evidence to his feline features are primarily the black furr that covers his body from top to bottom..."

She took a deep, inward breath. Black fur.

"... tall triangular white tipped ears, blue oculars that may be seen to shine in the dark, the white whiskers that sprout from his face, his clawed rather than nailed hands and hindfeet, and the long, lively balancing appendage which sprouts from his behind."

The blue unicorn began to wave her own tail with surprised excitement. It couldn't be.... but..... but it must! All those characteristics...

"... A tail, though it is smaller than my own, has plenty of personality to make up for it. And though he differs so much from the humans in appearance, he wears their attire, though I could not say for sure what he would be wearing at this moment. "

This, of course, convinced her completely. A tail with plenty of personality, black fur, blue eyes, the long white whiskers... they were all Zero!

"His physical form is very youthful, and because of his size he's often mistaken for a child. His speaking dialect does not help matters, unfortunately, as he is apt to mispronounce words and blend them together or completely make them up. He is young in age, twenty years old, but no child."

"Puffl-"

"Perhaps that description was long winded...too much unnecessary information. I believe though you have gotten the important gist of it, and I hope that should you see him you would inform him of my presence at these woods."

"Puffles, I know him! I-I think I know who you are talking about! Your master, is his name Zero?" Simi looked up at the towering tailed man with wide, eager eyes. She knew it- he had to be talking about Zero. Who else?

"Puffles, I know him! I-I think I know who you are talking about! Your master, is his name Zero?"

Whatever Puffles had been peering at skyward instantly lost his interest the moment his Master's name was spoken, and his gaze snapped to lock with Simi's own. The Cyborg's eyes were slightly widened and his tail had stiffened out behind him.

"Miss Simi...you...?" He paused briefly. "You have met him? My Master, Zero Drawn? You are sure that it was him?"

Even Puffles realized the silliness of asking this question. He had said it himself - Zero was unusual in appearance of which the cyborg had described in detail, the feline's target destination was Deep Forest, and this was also, Puffles assumed, the dwelling of the unicorn Simi. She would not have been mistaken. He waved his hand in front of his face as if to brush the question away, shaking his head.

"Of course you would be...I'd have no reason to doubt you, with what has already been said."

He sighed softly and approached Simi, stopping a few feet from her. He would kneel down if their height difference was significant enough, tail curling back around his waist.

"Just knowing that you have encountered him...I am very happy. How does he fare, in this place, and his whereabouts as well, do you know where he has gotten to? Has he been able to cope without the benefits that his laboratory would normally confer him...?"

Puffles would have wondered if he was asking too many questions, but the revelation that Simi knew his master and the possibility of his whereabouts sat at the forefront of Puffles' mind, pushing all other thoughts out of the way for the time being.

"Miss Simi...you...?" He paused briefly. "You have met him? My Master, Zero Drawn? You are sure that it was him?"

Simi nodded her head once. "Yes."

Puffles seemed to think about this answer before waving his hand, as if to brush away whatever thoughts he kept shielded.

"Of course you would be...I'd have no reason to doubt you, with what has already been said."

He then approached the unicorn slowly, stopping a few feet away from her. Simi looked up to meet his gaze, making her mane flow like brooks down from her face, but she did not feel frightened in Puffles' presence. He was good, and she knew that.

"Just knowing that you have encountered him...I am very happy. How does he fare, in this place, and his whereabouts as well, do you know where he has gotten to? Has he been able to cope without the benefits that his laboratory would normally confer him...?"

"I.... um.... I'm sorry, Puffles, I'm not familiar with all your words, such as 'laboratory.'...

"B-but I do know that Zero's very happy here," she quickly moved on to reassure the cyborg. "I've seen him, though not at his home, and he's been quite comfortable." She giggled as she recalled aloud, "He was quite estatic about all the food."

((ooc: Couldn't help myself, got to enter this one...)))

IC:

What had been going as a good nap in the middle of the day ended when a very loud and noisy disturbance woke up the young girl that had been sleeping on a branch in a tree near the edge. She woke up with such a start that she had fell out and landed on her head, thus falling unconscious again for a short period of time. Then her eyes opened up, she was still upside down almost bent in half from the landing on her head. "Oww, that hurt, what was that?" she wondered as she searched for the disturbance.

As she stepped around the tree she saw what had caused the disturbance, a ship had crashed. Well, that would indeed wake up a sleeping person. The young girl rubbed the top of her head as it throbbed in pain. Her eyes, which swirled with the colors of the rainbow, scanned the area until she saw the blue skinned humanoid and the unicorn talking as if nothing happened. Did they have any concerns that there might have been others in the area?

The young girl started walking towards the two, still rubbing her head, her eyes swirling with more red than anything. Her hair changed from the green it had been to black. The young girl wore black pants, with a red shirt with a pink coat. She wasn't smiling, but than again, she was in pain. "Excuse me! Who was the one that crashed that ship! Falling out of a tree hurts!" She yelled quite angerly, but with good reason.
