Psycra:: Drappon

Post by phathom »

Name: Psycra (p is silent)

Species: demi-dragon/puppy ( Drappons)

Gender: female

Alliance: Good

Age: Within her species, they generally live to the age of three thousand and twenty five. She, at her current age, is approximately six hundred and thirteen.

Mature Adult at Age: one thousand and seventy five

Appearance: Puppies; many people love the tiny playful creatures, and wish they could stay in a puppy form forever. This, of course is impossible, yet, Psycra holds the attributes for an lengthened time; until adulthood. Many would look at her and would rate her to look fairly similar to a young Australian Sheppard mix; she has all the attributes of one. Standing at a height of 9 inches, she is a very playful little rebel. One faintly floppy ear fold over when she’s interested, and one sticks straight into the air, and her muzzle is unusually shorter than a real puppies. Her shorter-than-Australian-Sheppard fur is patched, meshed within the colors of many shades of brown, midnight black, and a pearl white; though, depending on her mood, it can take on different and unnatural tints.

From in between her velvety ears, a row of scale-like plates drop down her spine to the tip of her longer and stronger than usual tail, giving her a more of a dragon-esque appearance. Sharp teeth set her apart as well, her eye teeth long enough to be seen when her mouth is closed. Front paws take on a rougher look, and sharp dragon claws emerge from the padded feet; her back legs slim down to regular puppy mitts. Beautiful wings sprout from her shoulder blades, but they look like a mix between dragon wings, and dove wings; they change tints along with her coat. Their wingspan is much like a miniature scale to a dragon; perfect width and height for the tiny creature. Most expressive of all of her, are her eyes. Deep cat-like orbs are mixed with two unusual colors, a deep emerald, and a sapphire blue; always sparking with either curiosity or with mischief.

Personality:
One word that could describe this little figure; feisty (Her feisty is more of a charming style, but it still is firm.) Patience is not one of Psyra’s virtues and she can be easily angered; which does not prevent her from toasting the feet of very annoying or prideful beings. She can be cocky, but to an extent; she never pushes the line of when being cocky is appropriate.

Though she can be easily angered, this little creature is a practical joker. She has a habit of pulling little pranks on anyone she see’s and has been ever since she was old enough to understand speech. Though, the wisest would laugh with her, because if anyone becomes angered at her harmless pranks, she retaliates and becomes quite malicious.

As mentioned earlier, her emotions show somewhat in her fur; through it can only be seen in the sun, due to the fact the color is most visible in the sparkling that litters her coat. When she is blissful, the reflection turns to that of a emerald green fern; when angered, blood red. Sadness, it turns into sapphire ice blue. In a general sense, she is quite a pleasant companion to be around; when she is cheerful, she does everything she can to make everyone else around happy; even put herself in a ridiculously funny position. She is always curious as well, and has fewer manners when it comes to something new. If it’s your bag, she will explore it if you don’t keep an eye on it; troublesome little misfit.

Abilities: With the partial dragon figure, she does have the ability to create fire within her muzzle and emit it; not only that, but with her wings, she can take flight. She doesn’t talk with her mouth, yet merely through telepathy. She enjoys playing with fire, and through experience, she devoted a lot of her time to learning an unusual ability; molding flames with her mind into shapes.

Disadvantages: Because of her size, she cannot always be seen and therefore, she is stepped on a lot and cannot fight many larger beings than her; her wings are fit to her size as well, limiting them in speed and height. Just as if you were running, she cannot fly limitlessly, but is bound by physical energy. With the flames molding, it takes a great amount of concentration and sometimes she forgets to breathe; she can lose consciousness if she focuses too long; she knows if she tries with a rather outsized flame and a difficult shape, it could kill her. Her scales changing colors with her mood is much of a disadvantage; it could spoil camouflage. Not only that, but her flame is limited to how much her 'spark pouch' is able to produce, and her telepathy is much like talking; she has to raise her 'voice' or 'whisper' depending on who she wants to hear her.

Family: Uannya is her adopted mother; though she is old enough to be Psycra’s implemented grandmother. She has Yorad, or had her elder brother. There is also Iilyad, her father, who has disappeared, and Errya, her mother who is dead.

History: Psycra grew up in her diminutive family, but her father, Iilyad, disappeared and her mother, Errya, was killed by a griffin; her brother, Yorad, and her, were left alone to fend for themselves when she was about two hundred years old and Yorad was around four hundred. They were a little young to be out on their own, and many who saw them were sorrowful at their condition but did nothing; but much to their surprise, an old and nearby friend, a Phoenix named Uannya, took them in as her own children. She cared for them as if they were her own, and taught them as much as she knew; she knew very little about the land outside her own perch and nest. Psycra was always seized with curiosity and kept escaping from Uannya to explore around where they lived; she always scolded him upon return, but was soft, having a love for the little girl.

Though when Psycra turned four hundred years old, Uannya was getting a little weary of the two restless siblings; she sent them off on a quest. She still cared much for them, but all three wanted to know what had happened to Iilyad; the two Drappon’s father. Though, on their journey, Yorad and Psycra were separated during a monstrous ice storm that had arisen; they have still not found each other and Psycra does not know if Yorad is still alive.

Anything Else We Need to Know?: I came by this site by looking through posted ads upon other sites.

IC Entrance: Psycra soared in the breezy skies above the waves, spinning loops in the air. As long as she was well above the aquatic substance, she was in a superior mood; water could evaporate for all she cared, and she was in no mood to get any part of her pelt wet. Her diminutive but powerful patterned wings beat a leisurely rhythm, catching the air currents above the sparkling sea. A infinitesimal grin seemed to spread across her face as she increased her speed to flip upside down and tag a small seagull with the tip of her powerful tail. The seagull was about her size, and turned in astonishment; causing the little Drappon to hiss with laughter as it tumbled clumsily in the salty air. This is an unusual place here…where am i?, she mused to herself, as she finally noticed that where she was, was not recognizable.

She continued on her way, her tiny ears swiveling back and forth until she felt something bite her own tail, lightly though. Swiveling her petite head around, she growled playfully as she noticed the seagull had tagged her back. The game continued in the sky as the two creatures had nothing better to do with their time on that fair day. Psycra had been thrown here by a large storm, and when awoke, had decided to explore. Though she lost herself in their little game, she soon grew weary and bid the seagull good day as she cast her deep emerald eyes towards the forest that latticed with the sandy shores. Shifting her weight, she turned towards the trees and away from the sparkling waters that spiraled glittering reflections throughout the air above. Flying was never hard, but landing; that had taken her a while to accomplish. Slowing enough to twist her body into landing position, shee alighted a fallen log, her back paws touching softly, being the first to introduce the weight before her front claws settled on the rough, and slightly dry bark.

Her wings folded benevolently behind her muscular shoulder blades and she brought her front claws to lay herself down upon the half demolished tree. One sensitive ear was lazily flopped over against her skull while the other attentively was erect, alert for any danger or approaching beings. Her nose twitched and within seconds, a surprising sneeze slipped past her maw; small tendrils of smoke escaped from between her pointed teeth as she blinked drastically a couple times and directed her eyes to peer around her surroundings.
Dragon-esque tail whipping across her rear, Psycra let her petite head descend upon her delicate claws; she was cynical and bored now, but was indolent enough to evade putting any effort into actually getting up and playing with the seagull once more. Her remarkable orbs curiously peered at the waves in the distance; inquisitive by their refined rising and falling, but not even tempted to touch them.

A salty wind wove gently from the waves and through the trees, Psycra sighed, releasing another puff of smoke swirling above her diminutive head. Her mind was distracted by the thought of one whom he missed thoroughly; her brother. He would have dared her to touch the waves, but she had no courage to at the moment. Where he was, she was not absolutely positive; ever since the storm had commenced, there was no sign of her anywhere. She had been traveling through what had been a wasteland after the storm, and was not quite sure where she was or how she had gotten here; her darkened pools reflected terrible sadness as she laid there. The raging weather condition had caused her to lose her way, and anyone she loved, but she decided it best to make the most of things. Her mind began racing as her mind traveled through a tangent; her eyes glued to the waves. Were these waves’ mirages? I could have sworn that i had been in a desolate place with nowhere to roam…yet… She brought her head up, and dug her claw into the bark below her. This was definitely real, nothing fake about it; the seagull had felt real as well, but as Psycra cast her gaze about, it was nowhere to be seen.

A small black beetle buzzed right in front of her, easily catching her attention. Her orbs brightened and began to follow the insect; she showed her teeth in a funny little way, as if trying to smile at the little bug. This was no mirageIt jumped from the log and she stretched her neck as far as she could to keep the bug in her sight; it was not a regular insect, it seemed to be following a pattern on the forestry ground. . She’d worry about where she was later, but for now, her mind was full out distracted.

((welcome to UV Phantom.

Is her fire ability like her flying? She can only create so much flame?
She is only able to speak with ehr telepathy? Is there a limited range on it?
Also you might want to put her color changing under disadvantage if she has no control over it.

Please limit colored text to in character speech and thought, do not color an entire post, it can be hard to read.

If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask me or Shadowed Illusions.

I'm not entirely sure of your current location due to the mirage stuff, but please correct me or whatever if I'm just totally getting it wrong. XD My current assumption is that you're at the edge of the forest, perched on a log, paying attention to a beetle that is real but imagining waves that are not (since there is no water in the wastelands.)

Ze's text is white, Ro's text is dark red.

==IC==
"Haha! You can't gettit!"

A hyper, moderately toned voice befitting that of a young teenager broke out from within Deep Forest, and a small blackfurred Nekojin, a humanoid shape dominated by strong feline appearance, figure darted with agile quickness between foliage and trees. Pursuing this blackfurred Neko was a white one of equal shortness, four feet tall right on the dot. Both Nekoes were a pure blend of their respective colour; uniform blackfurr with black hair and uniform whitefurr with white hair. The white one had an exasperated look on it's face, and it's voice was tainted with a bit of a whine. They both wore identical pairs of jeans, holes cut out to allow their three foot long tails out, but neither one wore a shirt, shoes, or any other manner of clothing.

"Nyaaahhh! Give it back, I'm tha one who found ittt! Come onn, Ro!"

"So what? Ya went and lost it too, 'n I found it next! Finder's keepers, ya cant just go changin how things work, Ze!"

Ro, the black one, jumped and about-faced briefly, his pink feline tongue stuck out at Ze, the white one, as he waved a pristine little acorn at him. It drew back in almost immediately and his eyes widened in horror, however, as the Ze had managed to keep up good pace with him. Ro only just barely flattened himself to the ground in time to narrowly avoid Ze as he shot up and over him in a failed lunge. Ze managed to salvage his landing and came about on two feet, spinning around just as Ro stood back up and stuck his tongue out at Ze again.

"Muhahahaha! Can't get me with tricks like that."

Ze fumed, clenched his fists, and charged right at Ro. The blackfurred Neko dodged Ze's charge and shot past him, breaking through the treeline and exited the forest. He turned again and stared into the treeline, braced for Ze to come charging out at any moment. However, nothing happened for a time, and Ro's fuzzy black ears perked up, listening.

"'Ey...Ze? Where are ya?"

With no response or sign of movement, he approached the forest border, having now become slightly worried at the disappearance of his playmate. He wouldn't have to worry for long, though, as Ze exploded from a low bush and charged Ro with another flying leap. He had no chance to avoid it this time, and was quickly subdued by the airborne tacklehug, as Ze brought Ro to the ground. They rolled for a little bit out and away from the forest, both of them giggling loudly. They came to a stop, and there Ze straddled Ro, keeping his chest pinned down with a paw. Not far from where they currently were was a log with a small winged puppycreature sitting on it, who was presently enthralled by and enjoying the company of a beetle. Ze and Ro were too caught up in their game to notice him yet, however.

"Eehehehe! I gots ya now, 'n you cant do nuffins!"

Ro struggled a bit, attempted but failed to push Ze off of him.

"Bah! Heathen! Scoundrel! You ain't gettin a damn thing out o' me! I ain't gonna talk!"

To this Ze scratched the side of his own cheek with the paw that was not being used to pin Ro down, and tilted his head a bit.

"Talk? Yah dun haveta talk...just gimmie the Acorn!"

Ro stuck his tongue out defiantly at his captor and clasped the nut even tighter in his paw, grinning.

"Nyuh-uh. I told yeh, yeh ain't gettin a damn thin fr--GYYYAAACCCK! WAIT! AHAHAHA! NOOOOOO!"

Ro had suddenly begun flailing and laughing beneath Ze, brought out by the fact the white Nekojin's paws were roaming about Ro's tummy, fingers wiggling as he tickled his victim into submission. He tried to pull and yank himself away, but it was no use. They were both of equal strength and right now Ze had the advantage.

"Get'chya get'chya get'chya!", Ze called out, his paws unstoppable in their ticklish barrage. Ro was twisting from side to side and writhing; his expressive blue eyes wide and streaked with tears of intense laughter.

"NO NO NO NO NO-KEKEKEHAHAHAHAHA! Okaaaayyyyy! Okayyyyy! I GIVE LEMME GOOOOO!"

At this, Ze's attack came to a halt, but he added a few spidery finger motions along Ro's side to ensure that he understood defeat. Ro was panting heavily, and sweat lined his brow.

"Are ya gonna give it to me now?" Ze inquired, and to this, Ro shook a fist at him. "Yeah I'll give it to yeh, sock yeh right in the li---GYEEEEK!" Before he could finish his assailant had added another little tickle to the mix, and this finally brought him to ultimate surrender. "Okay, okay! Fine! Take it! It ain't even worth it if I gots'ta suffer through crap like this!" He held out the acorn with something of a frustrated look on his face, and Ze happily snatched it from his grasp, holding it high in the air and meowing happily. He did not relinquish Ro from his capture, however. He found it much more appealing and a sweet sweet form of revenge to just keep him there, as a free paw reached down to poke him in the side.

"AHHH! Oh man...this isn't fair at all... ;___;" They were still in the same spot, not too far from where the Drappon was perched on the log.

((Psycra’s text is blue))

Psycra waggled her tail high in the air; her front crouched on the log, low and ready to pounce. A tiny growl seemed to grow within his throat as he stared at his prey that still followed invisible patterns upon the soft soil. It didn’t know that the Drappon was eyeing it masterfully, but neither did the insect probably care; it was busy minding its own business. Unusually strong muscles rippled beneath the sleek fur of an innocent puppy, close to pouncing.

"Haha! You can't gettit!"

The presence of a voice within the strange land caused Psycra to yelp as she toppled off her perch; her tiny figure rolled onto the ground, and the insect she had been playing with spread its wings in alarm and took off in flight. Heart thumping as if a herd of startled creatures, she felt just enough disappointment beneath her fear to be recognized; there went her playmate. But its presence was not recognized for long, as two similar creatures crashed through the forestry growth, stealth not even considered in their hasty and lighthearted actions. She looked at them from where she laid, her gaze upside down, causing them to seem to be rummaging upon the ceiling, she growled playfully, but quietly.

"Nyaaahhh! Give it back, I'm tha one who found ittt! Come onn, Ro!"

"So what? Ya went and lost it too, 'n I found it next! Finder's keepers, ya cant just go changin how things work, Ze!"

What? Psycras tail thumped against the ground as she rolled herself over, and placed her head delicately upon her diminutive paws. What were these two? Their voices sounded male, and they looked…weird. Pointed ears? Like cat! Her tongue lolled out and her mouth turned up in such a puppy-esque grin. But they weren’t very tiny, like little kitted were…she was trying to make sense of the commotion and the sight of other beings; it had been a long time since she heard speech.
Large orbs peered at the two newcomers as one pounded on the black-ish one, but the victim ducked and was seeming to mock the whiter one.

"Muhahahaha! Can't get me with tricks like that."

Her tail wagged even faster, just watching the scene before her, she wanted to play too! But, fear kept her from just bursting into the situation; instead, she cocked her head and one ear stuck straight in the ear as the other one flopped over. She instead, watched curiously. Wait?!?! Where’d the white one go?

"'Ey...Ze? Where are ya?"

Her head whipped around and she bounded to her feet, her wings expanding as she spun around. Would if the other was going to pounce her?! She excitedly bounded in a zig zag line till she was hidden by the treeline, then stopped as the Nekojin in the open received an attack to it.

"Eehehehe! I gots ya now, 'n you cant do nuffins!"

The little Drappon watched the scene, enthralled, as, it sounded like his name was Ro, was floored by the one called Ze. They seemed as if they would be fun to be with.

"Bah! Heathen! Scoundrel! You ain't gettin a damn thing out o' me! I ain't gonna talk!"

OH! Psycra flinched as the tension that had gathered between the other two beings in front of her.

"Talk? Yah dun haveta talk...just gimmie the Acorn!"

The little creature peered out from her spot, her eyes watching in unblinking fascination, and her mind fought the urge to make her presence known to the two. Besides, she had an urge to zoom out and steal the acorn that was causing all this commotion in the first place.

"Nyuh-uh. I told yeh, yeh ain't gettin a damn thin fr--GYYYAAACCCK! WAIT! AHAHAHA! NOOOOOO!"

Narrowing her orbs, she caught sight of the probing fingers of Ze, roaming across Ro’s sides and stomach; why was it making Ro flip out? She had never experienced anything like ‘tickling’…she was as much as mostly other dogs, and enjoyed the sensation of getting a rub down from gentle hands. She zoned out, until she heard the outburst plea from the captured Nekojin.

"NO NO NO NO NO-KEKEKEHAHAHAHAHA! Okaaaayyyyy! Okayyyyy! I GIVE LEMME GOOOOO!"

The attack ceased, after a follow up, and there was a generous pause for the panting creature to gather some breath. Her mind zoned out the speech once more as she focused on the Acorn… maybe if she could get it out of the grasp of the one, it would stop the contention? She chirped to herself, and began slinking towards the two, her body flattened towards the ground as much as she could; her coat took on the tint of her ‘sneaky’ attitude, and reflected the rich brown of the soil beneath her.

===OOC===
I hope you can forgive me for the immense delay in responding. The remnants of hurricane Ike hit oHIo as a strong windstorm, and caused a lot of power outages (over 2,000,000 folks without power at one point.) I happened to be one of those folks, my outage ran from 3:00PM on Sunday September 14th to about 8:10PM on Sunday September 21st...so I do apologize for the unusual circumstances.

===IC===
Ze rolled the acorn around in one paw, admiring it whilst keeping his other paw pressed against Ro's chest. With Ze's attention split between acorn and suppressing Ro, and Ro being suppressed, neither Nekojin noticed the approaching Drappon. The blackfurred Neko meowed in frustration, struggling beneath the grasp of the whitefurred one.

"What's the point of this? You got yer acorn, lemme go you big fathead!"

To this Ze merely giggled, sticking out his tongue and sliding his fingers across for another tickleattack on Ro's person.

"ACK! Yer a fricken sadist, that's what it is! He always said I was the darker part, but that's just in colour! Yer evil as hell!"

A grin spread across Ze's face and after a moment's consideration, he seemed to nod in agreement.

"Hmmm. Mebbe! But none o' that matters anyways, yer the one down there and I'm the one up here! So you gotta do what I say or you'll get more tickles, you will!"

Ze's fingers wiggled threateningly which caused Ro to meep and squirm in response.

"What if I blasted yeh, then what? You wouldn't be so tough then, would you!?"

"But you wouldn't blast me anyways, you hate seeing people cry."

Ro cringed as this was pretty much true and his threat was nothing more than idle. Slowly Ze reached out with the paw that was clutching the acorn, pushed Ro's head back a little, and set it just perfectly so that it balanced upon Ro's nose. Ro looked perturbed but didn't try to shake it off.

"This is humiliating, you know!"

"Yah, but it's also reallllly cute too! I wish we brought a camera...kwehehe!"

Though they remained unaware of the approaching Drappon, Ze's tail twitched in an odd manner. It was almost as if the appendage could sense the approaching creature, though this sense relayed nothing to the Nekojin's brain.

"ACK! Yer a fricken sadist, that's what it is! He always said I was the darker part, but that's just in colour! Yer evil as hell!"

She chirped angrily again at the stream of harmful words that flew from the pinned one’s mouth. Alright, she was determined to stop this. Swiveling her thin neck around, she looked at the scenery and wondered to herself. Where would be best to strike from?

"Hmmm. Mebbe! But none o' that matters anyways, yer the one down there and I'm the one up here! So you gotta do what I say or you'll get more tickles, you will!"

Psycra looked back to see the scene and shook her head; were they related? Man, they sure acted like they could definitely be siblings. Not only that, but the ‘he’ mentioned earlier sounded like it could have been a father or something that said it.

"What if I blasted yeh, then what? You wouldn't be so tough then, would you!?"

The turn of threats from the predator to the victim caused her to continue surveying the situation, fascinated. Ro seemed to be affected by this comment, but continued to taunt Ze. Tilting the victim’s head back, he balanced the acorn perfectly, causing Ze to look perturbed. Hmm…this was going to be a challenge now to get that tiny little thing out of the clutches of contention.

"This is humiliating, you know!"

Psycra gave another glance back as she probed the edge of the situation; she had to give it to Ze, the pinned critter was right. Humiliation galore!

"Yah, but it's also reallllly cute too! I wish we brought a camera...kwehehe!"

Finally; she had reached a perch within a branch of a tree. She bunched up her back legs and with a final loud chirp, she shot herself out of her perch; her path was headed straight towards the acorn. Her body twisted as to where she would grab it with her back left claw and hopefully not hit anything else.

It was a quiet day on the wastelands.

Emphasis on the "was."

Taka had been meditating, as she frequently did, listening for any possible information the wind may have. There had been a storm, a big one, but it had died out before it could reach the woods. The wind enjoyed talking about storms and clouds and hurricanes and other nasty weather like that, Taka had never been able to figure out why. She guessed it gave the wind an ego-boost or something. Her bonded Djinn tended to prefer gentle breezes, so it probably wasn't all wind that liked storms, just the more boisterous winds. Which could explain a lot of things.

However, the little chimera's concentration was broken before she could learn anything more about the storm by raucous laughter not too far from her. She attempted to concentrate a few more times, but screeches and yells kept flooding her sensitive ears, drowning out the delicate sounds of the breeze. Her objective thus thoroughly blocked, the young gryphon set off to investigate the disruptive party.

"This is humiliating, you know!" A black-colored feline complained from his back on the ground, an acorn perched precariously on the end of his nose.

""Yah, but it's also reallllly cute too! I wish we brought a camera...kwehehe!" The white feline, who was perched on the black one, crowed gleefully.

Not noticing the Drappon who was circling around behind the playing pair, Taka approached calmly, following the edge of the woods, her feather-tufted tail swishing behind her. "What are the two of you--" she began to call when she was within easy earshot, but was cut off by the sudden appearance of the tree-borne canine as she dropped in on the acorn.

((OOC: If its ok, I’m going to take the acorn, and have the two others scramble away…since the person who rps them I heard hasn’t posted for a while…but if ZeroDrawn comes back, they are welcome to bring their characters back in. ))

Triumphant, the little Drappon took the acorn within one of her two claws; but the two creatures who were fighting over it scampered into the brush as quickly as they had come. She whimpered, watching the only entertainment she had found leave no trail at all and she dropped the acorn, slightly upset.

It rolled a little farther away, and Psychra gently lowered her small form to the ground, facing where they departed. How depressing! Shaking her tiny form, fur escaped the gentle grasp of her coat, black, white, and brown colors alike; she sneezed as some settled on her nose.

A seeming sigh escaped her muzzle; she had just wanted a friend…but then she stopped. It finally registered in her mind that she had heard a voice calling to the two before she had entered the scene. Tail tucked under and ears back, her orbs were wide as she turned to look at the unexpected being who arrived.

A little puppy yelp was heard and she dove for the underbrush, shivering; of course the action quaked all the leaves around her but she didn’t mind. Whimpering, she took another look at the Gryphon-like being; and she backed against a rock, with nowhere to go. This, creature,… it resembled the very animal that had murdered her mother.

Taka halted abruptly, watching the two felines flee the tiny creature who had snatched away their trophy-nut. The small canine seemed surprised and mournful at the reaction. Curious, the gryphon took a few steps closer. Before she could fully reach the Drappon, however, her presence was realized, causing the poor creature to flee into the underbrush as though her tail were on fire.

Taka stopped again, blinking in surprise and looking around. That was the first time anyone had ever fled her in terror before. With the exception of maybe a few mice and rabbits. She wasn't bigger than most creatures, though, so maybe this one was small enough to see her as a monster? Still... Taka didn't typically flee creatures larger than herself on first glace. Perhaps the small canine was some sort of prey species?

Unsure if she should approach the cowering Drappon or not, Taka shifted on her talons, tail swishing behind her. "Uhm... Hello, there? Are you alright? I didn't mean to startle you..." She called out, finally taking a step back so the tiny creature would not feel cornered. "Are you new to the forest?" Many creatures found along the edge were, but many residents also frequented this area for various reasons. Taka had not been here long and did not know very many of the inhabitants, so she could not be sure, "My name is Takhacco... Taka for short. Do you need any help?" Maybe the small creature was injured? Such weaknesses often caused even normally brave creatures to flee.

"Uhm... Hello, there? Are you alright? I didn't mean to startle you... Are you new to the forest?”

The other creature seemed friendly enough, her wide orbs blinked slowly as she looked the other over.

"My name is Takhacco... Taka for short. Do you need any help?"

Taka seemed, smaller than a gryphon, and finally Psycra inched her way out into the open. The Drappon shook herself once more, causing dirt and leaves to fall from her velvety coat and she sat; her head cocked, one ear straight up, the other lazily flopped against her skull. Delicate wings folded themselves from view, gently lying just behind her shoulder blades. Her silky voice was heard in the other’s head, and her muzzle moved not with her speech.

“Taka…my name is Psycra; I’m sorry to have…hid upon seeing you. See, I don’t befriend any type of gryphons, well, um, easily. ever since my mothe..”

The little puppy-esque female cut off, realizing she had said too much; besides, not everyone responded well to having a telepathic voice within their mind. There was no other way she could talk though, and she did want to communicate. Her coat began to take the tint on of sapphire blue, and she looked up; the more sun there was, the more visible her feelings were.

Taka didn't seem phased by the other's voice coming to her telepathically; indeed, she had met many creatures of this forest who could only communicate in such a fashion, so it was fairly normal to her by now. "Well, if it helps..." she began, looking thoughtful, "I'm not actually a gryphon. I'm a chimera-demon, I just happen to have inherited characteristics similar to those of a gryphon." She wasn't sure what the little canine, Psycra, had against gryphons, but if she could alleviate some of the pressure in this way, it was worth a shot.

"So, Psycra..." She shifted the focus from the tiny creature's cut off line about her mother to the question she had posed earlier, "You're new to the woods? What brings you here?" The canine seemed to be uninjured, now that she had revealed herself.

The little critter relaxed a little as Taka revealed that she was not a gryphon, more of a look-alike of a gryphon.

”So, Psycra…You’re new to the woods? What brings you here?”

Velvety ears slowly shifted backwards and her orbs grew large; she looked rather helpless, her tail curled a little around her body, and she hung her head.

“I dunno what I am doing here. One second I’m with my brother, the next, I’m in a nightmare.”

Her telepathic voice was gentle, and barely audible as she shifted her gaze to the ground at the demon’s feet. Were demons mean? Taka seemed nice so far, but you could never really tell…she had only met this creature with size just a little bigger than her own. Hmm…she realized she was hungry; she hadn’t eaten for quite a while since she had been flying for a while. She realized her ADD mentality…well she swore she had ADD…. had taken her focus away from the conversation at hand and brought her head up to look at Taka, attentively.

With a small sigh, she finally perked up; there was no point in being mopey, instead her curiosity took a hold of her and she scooted forward, then began playfully bounding around the other; she was rarely sad for long, and easily changed subjects.

“But its ok, Positive is always better. So have you fought any cool creatures? Do you live here? How old are you? Do you have any family?”

Her feisty attitude was glimpsed in her bombarding of questions, and she crouched, wagging her tail, her backside a little higher than her front as her front claws were extended a little. After all, she was still a kid and was terribly curious now that she realized Taka had treated the little puppy with kindness since meeting. Maybe Taka seemed serious, but Psycra might as well see if she could also be fun. Besides, she didn’t want the demon to worry; she had seemed a little worried at first. Psychra held her breath as a sharp stab of pain rippled through her body; aw man, she had forgotten about the stupid slice she had received just under her folded wings. Wow she was distracted easily. She cocked her head curiously, ears once again forward as she listened for Taka’s response.

“I dunno what I am doing here. One second I’m with my brother, the next, I’m in a nightmare.”

Taka's ears drooped at hearing that. She understood completely, after all, she had happened here while on a journey to locate her own missing brother. She was preparing herself to offer condolences, when the smaller creature suddenly perked up and began circling her. The chimera lifted her feathered head and cocked it in curiosity as the canine began asking questions.

“But its ok, Positive is always better. So have you fought any cool creatures? Do you live here? How old are you? Do you have any family?”

A grin broke out across Taka's beak and it was all she could do to not burst into laughter. This creature was so much like her it was almost scary! Her long tail swished and she thought a moment to commit the questions to memory so she wouldn't leave any out.

"I don't really like to fight, so I'm not sure I've ever fought against anything 'cool'... Although, there was the one time I sort-of fought a giant, flying, metal box from the inside! There were buttons everywhere! And dead things..." She blinked a little, not sure if that constituted as "cool" or not. She shook her head and opted to move on.

"I don't really live here, I'm just sort of visiting while on a journey... But I've been here for a few months now. It's a large place, It'll take me a long time to figure out for sure if..." She trailed off, her ears drooping a little. Well, the small canine had asked about her family, so she would cover this part then.

"I am twenty years old and am searching for my lost brother." She smiled sadly, clicking her beak. "That is the reason for my journey and who I am searching for here. He was... He was taken... years ago... by humans. Everyone else thinks he was killed, but no one has found a body. I'm sure he's alive. And I will find him and rescue him and take him home." She nodded sharply, as thought it were a physical gesture of her resolve.

Then she turned to look at the smaller creature, "And now that I have finished your questions... I have a few of my own." The fan of her tail twitched delightfully, "What are you? Where are you from? Are you hurt? Are you hungry? Do you need any help?" She ruffled the feathers in her wings and perked her ears forward with interest.

((OOC: Sorry for the pause; I’ve been really busy.))

The demon seemed to be laughing at the Drappon, and Psycra darted around a little more before tumbling in the dirt and kicking her legs; the motion thrust her figure over so the world was viewed upside down. Taka was now sitting on the earthen ceiling from her view, and the little creature let her tongue slip out the side of her mouth, giving her a soft, childish puppy look.

"I don't really like to fight, so I'm not sure I've ever fought against anything 'cool'... Although, there was the one time I sort-of fought a giant, flying, metal box from the inside! There were buttons everywhere! And dead things..."

The tone seemed to change, and all four paws and claws thumped to the earth; now she was laying on her side. Muzzle closed, she raised her head, and one ear flopped across her skull while the other stuck straight above her fuzzy head. Metal box? That sounded horrible…though it seemed harmless, something told her that it wasn’t that good; especially when the last sentence coming form Taka was dead things.

"I don't really live here, I'm just sort of visiting while on a journey... But I've been here for a few months now. It's a large place, It'll take me a long time to figure out for sure if..."The demon was following Psycra’s random questions well, and she was rather surprised; most people got confused at the sudden bombarding from this little ball of energy.

"I am twenty years old and am searching for my lost brother. That is the reason for my journey and who I am searching for here. He was... He was taken... years ago... by humans. Everyone else thinks he was killed, but no one has found a body. I'm sure he's alive. And I will find him and rescue him and take him home."

The clack of her beak was heard within the explanation, but the Drappon didn’t pay attention at all to the motion; she sat up, her expression void of any laughter, or any fun and games now. This sounded familiar; she had lost her brother….on her way to find her lost father…and now she was alone. She shivered, her ears falling back behind her head; oh she knew exactly how Taka felt, and it was horrid.

” "And now that I have finished your questions... I have a few of my own. What are you? Where are you from? Are you hurt? Are you hungry? Do you need any help?" Psycra paused, and looked at the ground, attempting to recover her composure; then once it was recovered, she lifted her lopsided ears once more.

“I’m a Drappon; kinda a mix between…” She stood and looked herself over; the action caused her to follow her tail in a circle. “A dragon and a dog. I’m from…well… not from here…I don’t know if my home exists anymore. I don’t know anything really. I’m…”

She paused, readjusting her wings as she attempted to hide her wound. Well…did she need any help? Probably…but she didn’t want to bother the chimera-demon any longer on her quest for her brother.

“I’m alright. But you probably better find your brother.” A sad note in her voice as to sending her only company away, but she knew a brother was always important, especially if she was out on a quest to find him.

The tiny Drappon explained her species to Taka briefly. She started to answer the other questions, then trailed off when it came to answered whether or not she was hurt. Taka cocked her head and peered a little closer as the dragon-puppy shifted herself uncomfortably. The gryphon clicked her beak softly; why didn't she just admit to it? Taka could help...

“I’m alright." She said instead. "But you probably better find your brother.” she suggested, seeming as though she was trying to change the subject.

Taka shook her head, "He's been missing for over a decade now. A few more days... weeks... even months... they won't matter at this point." She turned towards the trees, gazing blankly into the forest, "I'm not even sure he's here... I haven't found any sign of him at all... But..." She sighed softly, turning back, "I'm also not really sure how to leave... I would have to back-track over the wastelands, I think... but the wind brought me here. So I'll stay here until I am sure he is not..."

She cracked her beak open into a friendly grin, "Who knows? Maybe one day he'll wash up here at the edge! All I can do is wait, if that's the case." She nodded resolutely, "Until then... I will do my best to aid anyone else who ends up here while I look for information." the chimera's long, feathered ears perked towards the drappon suggestively, "I know some healing magic and a few locations of food and water in the forest."

With a motion from Taka’s head, it dismissed the silly idea that the Drappon had suggested. "He's been missing for over a decade now. A few more days... weeks... even months... they won't matter at this point." Her newfound friend allowed her gaze to shift to the trees. "I'm not even sure he's here... I haven't found any sign of him at all... But…” A sigh was escaped from within the demon’s body. "I'm also not really sure how to leave... I would have to back-track over the wastelands, I think... but the wind brought me here. So I'll stay here until I am sure he is not..."

“Oh…”

Psycra could definitely sympathize with her there; things weren’t looking so useful in her own search. She shifted on all fours, but quickly reduced to sitting; one back leg removing an itch that infected her left ear. Ow, ow, ow, ow, and ow. That hurt a little more than the little creature thought it would. With effort, she resumed her standing position, head cocked, expression intent on what was being said.

"Who knows? Maybe one day he'll wash up here at the edge! All I can do is wait, if that's the case."[/colo]r[/i] A nod. Until then... I will do my best to aid anyone else who ends up here while I look for information.I know some healing magic and a few locations of food and water in the forest." Her long, but stalwart tail sunk lower to the ground and one ear presumed to go backwards. Had she guessed the pain the little puppy critter was going through? Could she read minds? She seemed to know exactly what was going on…or at least what she needed.

Scuffing the ground with one sharp claw, she hesitated before finally responding. “I suppose it wouldn’t hurt…"
