Anyhow....
Like Dar-Jay, Roose had never been a modest person. Really, he had no need for modesty, except when it came to displaying his wings to strange females...
... in fact, Roose felt very proud of his body, and had no trouble showing it off to other males. Of course, other than his wings... intended for Chorri... he had no trouble showing off his other "assets" to females, as well. It was only natural for a young 'Twill to feel this way, male or female, for that matter. Being close to nature, as a species, had given 'Twill a culture very close to its animal roots, like in many primative societies. Even though their own society was far from primative.
Roose was alien, but Dar-Jay had displayed a jackrabbit... actually, the form of a hare. So he wouldn't have found Roose's anatomy all that alien, at first glance, since 'Twill and hares shared the same basic "layout", so to speak. And Roose, at this very moment, displayed another "rabbity" characteristic...
... his nose wiggled at the smell of unwashed chimera. Only for a moment, but it did look a bit odd to see such a gesture on an alien face...
... "Well, I do have food I've gathered from the Forest, but the ReMaker can cook up pretty much anything from my own kind's culinary skills. The question is... do you prefer mild or spicy? Oh, and yesss, the bath. Hungry as you and I may be, I prefer being clean before meals. My auma... my mother... wouldn't allow me to eat, until I'd washed off my outside activities."
By this time, Roose had led Dar-Jay not only past the door and the station just beyond, but past the niches on each wall just beyond the station... to the chimera's right and left, each niche held a matched pair of alien swords. Farther in, Dar-Jay would see Roose's command chair at Prime Flight One, and Chorri's intended station, at Prime Flight Two. For him, this may have seemed like too many controls, given that Roose was alone, but it was all GreenDay needed. Most of Prime Control... the bridge... was taken up by window-prisms, covering most of the forward wallspace, and showing the darkened night sky, with most of the light filtered... just a twinkle of stars, as if the planet didn't exist. A contrast to the full, unfiltered view in the Accumulator Room.
Well....
Now that they had stepped out of the short entry passage, stepped past the swords on display, Dar-Jay would notice the curve of the walls on both sides, leading to passages heading downward and aft, back the way they'd come. Since Roose had walked by the ACDS (Accumulator Control Data Station) on the left-hand side, he turned to his left, and proceeded to lead Dar-Jay down the port access to Deck One...
... "If you find yourself unable to sleep, you can always return up either the port or starboard passages... the Accumulator room... I use it for exercise, and it's a good place to view the stars at night."
The young 'Twill looked back over his shoulder... light came from a series of blue-green crystals set at intervals along the passage walls, on both sides. A tail tuft brush against the wall, since his hands were occupied with clothes and belt... a flare of his eye, and the glow changed to a soft golden yellow, brightening the way a bit. A quickening of step, to make a short walk shorter, as the passage's curve straightened, then...
... the left wall curved away, and they stepped into a wide "corridor"... a sealed shaft of rods, the main lift, occupied the center, with a slightly aftward bias. Across the way, the starboard passage, in mirror image to the one they'd just used. And wide passageways, to the right and left. Roose stopped, turned to Dar-Jay, and...
... "That way..." He gestured to the right-hand, aftward heading passageway with his tail... "leads to the medbay. Further down the side passages, and you'll find the messhall. This way..." He gestured, again with his tail, towards the left-hand passageway leading forward, towards GreenDay's bow... "is where you'll find my quarters and my bath."
A grin...
... "You shouldn't get lost, no matter where you wander."
Roose turned back to his walking.........

((ooc)) I really need to put together a reference for GreenDay's interior looks and layout. This post is too light on detail....
